4.3 out of 5 stars 48 ratings

From the church member in the pew to the average person in the street to the post-apocalyptic movie fan, everyone is asking, “Is the world about to end?”

The coming and going of 2012 without the prophecy of the Mayan Calendar being fulfilled has only increased the interest in the signs of the end-times to a fever-pitch. But, ultimately, only the Bible can provide the answer to the question of when the world will be no more. There we learn of the seven signs that signal the end of planet earth as we know it.

Reading Pate's book will give you the inside scoop on God's unfolding plan and provide hope in the midst of a world that is falling apart.

This book, published by Telling Ministries, was great! Dr. Pate educated the reader through reference to biblical events that could lead to the end of the world as we know it. The author's knowledge of the Bible and his use of historical events to tell the story, as well as his own personal experiences ,help shape his viewpoint and offer a book that is hard to put down. Being an ex teacher, the book definitely appealed to me, as Pate's references to history made this book very interesting. The concepts discussed in the book are still in my mind, long after the reading has been concluded. This is the best book I have read on this particular subject.

I find this book to be very informative. So far the author uses different ways to describe what a specific word means by certain examples ahead of time. By that time, he then uses it scriptural which gives a much clearer picture of how things are to unfold prior to Christs return. I haven't finished reading it yet as I tend to tire very easily. But I'm enjoying it & understanding things to come so much clearer now. I really like this book.

Dr Pate offers an intriguing hermeneutical approach to End-Times prophecies in Revelation in particular and the Bible as a whole. He does a great job of briefly explaining various views with respect while offering a different yet possibly homogenized view of the unfolding of biblical prophecy. He has given this reader much to ponder!

It was different than my Book on the end times some of the things were Book knowledge and not heart (Holy Spirit inspired) some of the views was old school and not the new revelation, by not applying Bok of Daniel 7th chapter with the Book of Revelation 6th chapter making England Russia and Germany the main players in the end times , with the Anti-Christ as the main leader out of Turkey.

This was an interesting read. Dr. Pate reference the bible while referring to events that make you think of the end of times. It was interesting reading about historical events that may be signs of the end. And the thought that at any time and event could be satan trying but God not allowing. History is not a strong point of mine but the history in this book made it interesting to me. This is informative and a good read relating to Revelations.
