    Shaw was such an enigma to me in the Dare to Try trilogy and also in the first of this series. I was really glad to get his and Trent’s story. Shaw is a beast of a man, covered in tattoos and the vault all his friends give their secrets to. Fiercely protective of those he loves, I knew he would be a man who loved fiercely, once he gave a relationship a chance. At a party hosted by a friend, Bash, he is thrown into a dark room with a man and it is an encounter both can’t forget.

    Trent is trying to find his place in life. He has spent the last decade as the lead singer of a very popular rock band, but walked away from the life. He is immediately smitten with Shaw. I loved how their love story unfolded. Both willing to put it out there and just directly saying what each wants. There wasn’t unnecessary drama, but it’s a story that keeps moving with a little slow burn. I loved getting to see how their happy-ever-after came together. This was a quick read not because it was short, but because I enjoyed it so much. I think I read it in 3 days during the work week. While I love dramatic, dark, and gritty love stories, sometimes you just need a sweet story that gives you warm fuzzies.

    It's been so long since I read the first book in this series, A Little Bit like Love, I figured I needed a refresher on Bash before diving into my arc of Dare You. Plus, I've been wanting to read this book anyway, so it seemed like the perfect time to dive back into this world.

    Having read the Fallen Angel series by Ella and Brooke, I was familiar with Trent, although I didn't have an opinion on him one way or another. I know Viper had a real issue with him, for the way he left the band, and we got to see a little of that here. Considering my issues with Viper from the Fallen Angels series, I think I was predisposed to like Trent on principle alone. And I did end up really liking him, and felt my dislike of Viper was justified!

    Trent and Shaw's story was an easy, enjoyable read. I liked that there wasn't a lot of angst and drama, which I thought there might be, considering how things started. But I was pleasantly surprised with the way these two fell so easily into each other, even with their differences and Trent going through some major changes in his life. I liked that Shaw was there for Trent, as he worked on figuring out his life and what he wanted to do next- these guys were so good for each other. I really enjoyed their story, the way things started off with a bang and slowly moved into something real.

    I decided to read this book after getting a glimpse of Trent in the Fallen Angel series. I needed to know more about the sexy Rock Star and his hot boyfriend. And I am so glad I did, because now I have another series to fall in love with.

    The story is sweet and has definite heat to it. I love the scenes between Shaw and Trent and really feel the chemistry between them. Their story made me laugh, smile and need more of the South Haven series. It's well written, interesting and kept me reading. Definitely a satisfying and recommended read.

    It was so good to be back in South Haven and with all the boys. A Little Bit Like Desire was fabulous. Shaw and Trent has amazing chemistry and the build up to them finally caving in to one another was absolutely delicious. Their first meeting definitely proved that their connection is on another level. They’re very comfortable together doing very mundane things which only made me enjoy their growing friendship and I was just waiting for them to give in cause they both wanted one another. Big time.

    Shaw’s friends from South Have were there too. Bash, Lucas and Jackson were terrific and added humor to the story. These guys have so much fun and are loyal to one another. Whenever Shaw needed to vent or some support Bash and Lucas was there.

    If your like me, then you've been waiting for this one. If you're not, then you're in for a treat! Shaw Jennings and Trent Knox meet in a most unconventional way. Wait though, they don't really meet. Confused yet? Well, I'm not going to give it away how they meet. You'll have to find that out for yourself. Let's just say you won't be disappointed. The chemistry between Shaw and Trent is mind blowing. The tattoo artist and the rock star. What's not to like!! I swear to all things holy that my Kindle even smoldered a little bit! This series is special to me as "A Little Bit Like Love" was my first Brooke Blaine read. The rest is history. You can read this as a stand alone, but I highly recommend you starting out with book one as these characters do crossover and why miss out on all the South Haven goodness. The only complaint I had is that I had to put it down my Kindle to go to work and couldn't just sit and devour it in one setting. Brooke Blaine is an amazing story teller and I cannot wait to read Bash's story next!!

He is so cool, calm and collected that you don’t get why he is still single. But just like every man, there’s more than the eye sees and he has some more layers to uncover. I love that he knows who he is, doesn’t hide and knows what he wants. He’s that easygoing friend you can call whenever you need someone.

    Trent is a famous rockstar on the edge career wise. To find himself again and to think about his future, he hides in South Haven at a place his friend Bash owns. Because of his life in the spotlight he is a lot more guarded than Shaw. It’s his lost soul and the inability to do any domestic stuff, that speaks to Shaw on a deeper level.

    I loved the way they easily connected right from the beginning. The chemistry between them was boiling hot and rose with every page. You could feel it sizzling on your skin.
    A Little Bit Like Desire started with one hot scene that left my absolutely breathless and giddy for more! Definitely the bang this book is worth off! But also the thoughtfulness behind the character that Trent is, the doubts, the need, the passion, ALBLD is a little more than just romance.

    Brooke Blaine once again made me needy and swooning and sighing and wanting her men with her amazing writing talent. She created this South Haven community as one you want to live in. She touches me time and time again on so many levels that I can’t even put in words. I so can’t wait to see what Bash’s story will reveal, because that man is a troublemaker like no other. And I’m sure there’s also more to discover.

    I'm loving this series, and this writing style! Shaw and Trent don't have the history that we saw with Jackson and Lucas, but that didn't diminish their chemistry or connection. The way they met was unique and oh so hot! How they then reconnected was fun and I couldn't help but love Bash's meddling.

    I loved that they were comfortable with each other from the start, and that there was a true friendship there too.

    Beautifully done, and now I can't wait to read Bash's story and see who manages to take him and how they do it! Definitely a series I would recommend, and I definitely want more from this author.
