As with book one, I enjoyed the shift in points of view between the two characters. Mays is adept at writing from each one's perspective and helping the reader see each one's thought processes.     This is the first book I have read by Nikki Mays but it certainly won’t be the last because this was a good, witty, smexy and well-written read that kept me entertained from the first chapter to the last.
    The crazy banters between Damon and Michelle and the rest of the close-knit group of friends and family members cracked me up all the way through. They were really hilarious at time. Can't wait to read Marc's story in the next installment. I listened to the audio version and enjoyed the narration and voice of Reagan Boggs who did a great job!

    Okay, I'll address what other reviews have said, yes there are grammatical errors and some simple spelling errors. Even as an English Major, it wasn't enough to take away from the book. On to the story, I love how Michelle is able to bring Damon out of his shell. There were small parts that made the book for me, such as going into detail about a kitchen-aid mixer and attachment for pasta(we have one at home), other small tidbits like that, which are not needed for the story line, but enhance the book overall. Now that I am done with this book, I'm starting the next.

    As with the first book, I really liked the story but there seemed to be even more errors in this second book. I found myself having to reread lines, which was a bit annoying. There were missing words in a lot of sentences that was a bit distracting while reading. There was one line during sexy time where it says “ first he inserted one finger, then fingers”. How many more fingers? Did he go from one to two fingers, or did he go to four? Who knows?
    I liked how once Damon decided he was done fighting to stay away from her he just went all in, but I loved how Michelle didn’t just give into Damon when he decided he was done staying away. She made home work for it. Like the last book, I loved Mellie’s banter with everyone especially with Michelle even at inappropriate times.
    I really like the two books and story lines that I have read so far from this author. I would have given a higher rating but the grammatical errors and missing words took away from my reading experience. I will still continue with the next book because I am curious about the other characters, I just hope the editing is better in the future books.

    Damon and Michelle have danced around each other for a couple of years. Damon doesn't want to dim her light with his darkness. They share a group of friends so they always seem to be in the same places. This was a great 2nd book in the series. I loved Damon despite his serious side. His funny side is more subtle but you will continue to laugh. Just enough suspense to keep you guessing.
