4.6 out of 5 stars 8 ratings

Tori Andrews wanted nothing more than to leave her small town. She’s hesitant to come back home for the holidays. Tori knows her meddling-mother will be up to her old tricks to find her a husband and keep her in White Cove.

Between her career and her match-making-mom, she’s thought as little as possible of finding the one. Until she meets her mystery bartender with compassionate eyes, a calming voice, and good advice. But when she discovers he’d already been propositioned by her mom to ask her out on a date; she no longer wants to know who he is.

Alice Andrews has plans for her daughter. She wants her in White Cove, and not just for Christmas. All family traditions are set to impress her daughter and she’s found the perfect gift. A new doctor in town. Alice promised to stop meddling but maybe just one more time will keep her daughter home. The hospital Christmas party will allow for an introduction. Meddling mom has given her daughter and the doctor the roles of Santa and Mrs. Clause.

Alice prays for fate to take over. Little does she know that fate began without an introduction.

What a beautiful and heartwarming story of family, friends, memories, and new beginnings. It is realizing that sometimes what you might have thought to be the life you wanted, doesn't measure up and yes, you can come home again. The story is a sweet, clean romance.

The plot will have Victoria "Tori" Andrews coming back home for the Christmas holidays to the town of White Grove. She left it years ago to live in the city and work as a bank manager. Some of the things that she thought was missing by living in a small hometown, she realizes she misses. And she is now discovering that the big city comes with extra stress.

Stopping in the local pub as she comes into town will not have the normal bartender, Joel, but instead a stranger--but one who offers sage advice. Have the Fates intervened and are they working with her mother?

"Go home and enjoy the holidays."

Tori isn't shocked at the matchmaking attempt of her mother, Alice, and takes it in stride. What a shock to meet up with the man handling the bar when she was there is none other than a new doctor in town, Dr. Trey Gilbert. And leave it up to Alice to pair them up in multiple occasions, playing Santa and Mrs. Clause.

Sometimes what we see and hear are not always as things really are and just when Tori agrees to a date or two with Trey, she will see him with another woman and hear an exchange of endearments. How can she trust him after what she witnessed? Will she listen to the advice of her brother-in-law and give the good Doctor another chance?

"Maintain that open and pure heart of yours. Take the plunge. Trey is a great guy."

The story will include an accident that will involve Frank, the bank manager that Tori worked under. When he undergoes emergency surgery and must be out to recover, she steps in and keeps the bank open and operating.

The longer Tori is back, the sweeter the memories, and the closer she and Trey become. Could this be a new beginning? The saying of 'absence makes the heart grow fonder' is just as true for leaving home and returning. When a new job offer is made to her, is this the push she needs to come back to White Grove? What about the budding relationship with Dr. Trey Gilbert? Maybe Mama is the magically little matchmaking elf that both Trey and Tori needed.

"To the beginning of many special occasions and magical memories."

I had some waiting to do, perfect time for a short read and something light. A sweet little romance, nothing heavy. Angela does a nice job writing though this is one of lightest books I have read by her.

COMING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS IS A SMALL TOWN ROMANTIC CHRISTMAS STORY. TORI IS COMING HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS TO SPEND TIME WITH HER FAMILY. SHE IS HESITANT BECAUSE HER MEDDLING MOTHER IS ALWAYS TRYING TO PLAY MATCHMAKER. THEN TORI MEETS A MYSTERIOUS AND GORGEOUS BARTENDER. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN TORI FINDS OUT THAT HE IS THE NEW TOWN DOCTOR AND HER MOM HAS ASKED HIM TO ASK TORI OUT? WILL SHE GIVE UP HER CHANCE FOR HAPPINESS?

TORI IS A COMPLEX CHARACTER WHO HAS BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT SHE TRULY WANTS. SHE THOUGHT SHE HAD THE PERFECT JOB AND WAS LIVING IN THE CITY LIKE SHE ALWAYS DREAMED. WHEN TORI COMES HOME TO WHITE COVE, SHE STARTS QUESTIONING EVERYTHING SHE HAS ALWAYS WANTED ESPECIALLY AFTER MEETING THE NEW TOWN DOCTOR. SHE REALIZES HOW MUCH SHE HAS MISSED HER FAMILY AND THE SMALL TOWN LIFE. ANGELA FORD HAS WROTE ANOTHER EXCELLENT ROMANTIC CHRISTMAS STORY. SHE HAS CREATED SOME VERY REALISTIC AND BELIEVABLE CHARACTERS. IT IS A MAGICAL LOVE STORY THAT WILL LEAVE YOU WANTING MORE.

Angela Ford has been on my author one day read list for awhile. Christmas Back Home did not disappoint. Victoria “Tori” Andrews left her small hometown of White Cove to spread her wings. But she’s starting to find the big city life draining. While Tori loves Christmas and the holiday season, she’s not looking forward to returning home. Her younger sister is married with a small child and her mother wants the same thing for her.

Dr. Trey Gilbert is the man Alice Andrews has her sights on for her daughter. Trey is an easy-going guy. Surprisingly, he and Tori have a lot in common and get along really well together.

Christmas Back Home is a truly sweet romance with characters who are easy to like. I loved that the story didn’t seem to be predictable, outside of knowing Tori would move back to White Cove. This is a happy for now story. I wish it was a happily-ever-after story with an epilogue.

Christmas Back Home : Coming Home for Christmas is a fun holiday novella! Angela Ford really wrote a heartwarming story about two beautiful souls Tori and Trey. Both are still unmarried and Tori's family will meddle in their lives to do some matchmaking. Her mom, sister and her husband will do everything to get those two together. Will her family marry her off to Trey? Will Christmas do its magic?

This is a fun holiday romance and I connected with Tori and Trey along with the extended characters of Tori’s family and friends right away. The plot was full of fun and a holiday atmosphere. The only thing was the scenes switched so suddenly that I had to go back and reread lines to figure out what was going on, so that could be written a little smoother or put breaks in between paragraphs to let the reader know that a change is coming. Christmas Back Home is a nice holiday romance.

This is a great Holiday read. Love the story line and Angela spins a wonderfully believable story. The characters are great as well.

The only thing that I feel could be different is that sometimes the scene switches without warning and I had to reread to get back on track
