The Sin of Kissing You (Falling Trilogy) Kindle Edition
Bay ran from me four years ago and I can’t blame her. I broke her heart and my own with one split second mistake. Now we’re thrown together for four weeks. Training camp after the draft is the final step to cement my pro football careers, but after seeing her again, she’s the only future I want.
If I were a better guy, I’d walk away and let her live her life. Maybe I haven’t learned my lesson yet because I can’t stop thinking about her. And I won’t stop until she knows how much I still love her.
The sins of my past are hard to run from, but I’ll battle every single one, if it means one more chance with her.
The Sin of Kissing You is the second book in the new Fulton U universe sports romance, Falling trilogy.

About the author

Maya Hughes, that's me!, can often be found sneaking in another chapter while hiding in the bathroom from her kids! :-) I’m a romance writer who loves taking inspiration from everyday life, namely my husband and biggest fan. Inspiration also strikes when I hear a song, meet someone new or daydream while at soccer practice.
I’m the mom of three little ones, the wife to an amazing husband and also work full time. Some of my favorite things are cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, white wine, laughing until I can’t breathe, traveling with my family and Jeff Goldblum.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2021Okay so I needed some serious time to sit with this review before writing it. How much time you ask? The amount of time it took for the final book to come out and for me to binge it and remind myself that Maya wouldn't break my heart like this and that everything would be okay. I come to you one month wiser and happy to report that this series was worth it. But you need to be able to handle this book to get there. Gosh that sounds so ominous but bear with me here.
Okay so we pick up right where we left off in the first book. Bay has certainly not grown any less hostile towards Dare/Keyton and Keyton has literally spent the last 4 years pining away for Bay and trying to fix what he broke (see Fulton U series for more on this). I would literally fight someone for Keyton in this book. I know he doesn't need my protection because he's got it covered but my God I would do it anyway. Bay finds that unfortunately Keyton still holds the keys to her song bird's cage and she is no closer to working through her music based anxiety than she was before. These two reluctantly fall back into a hot and heavy relationship trying their best to prove to each other that maybe this time is different. They have four years of growth and changes. Maybe this is their time? When Bay is presented with a career defining opportunity she can't turn down and Keyton makes a possible career ending mistake showing that his past still defines him hard choices have to be made for the sake of both of their futures.
If you do read this series and struggle after this book know that I get you. I was in the same place. This book will do things to your feelings and will likely make you feel angry maybe even a little betrayed. That's okay. Live in that for a minute and know your feelings are valid and they are coming from a place of Maya making you feel intensely strong about two fictional characters. That is an impressive skill that should be admired. Then you should immediately pick up the last book and feel joy in your soul again. If you think this sounds like too much for you then please don't torment yourself. There is nothing worse than reading a book that wasn't meant for you in the first place and making yourself or the author feel bad. This review is my fair warning to you. If you continue from here prepare to feel all the feels and thank me later.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2021but leaves so much unanswered. Thank goodness the 3rd book is out! I would be cursing right now if it wasn’t.
This one was pretty uneventful, for the most part. It was mostly a transitional book to reconnect the main characters and show what they had been up to since they were last together. It was great that Knox showed up, Dare desperately needed someone in his corner. It’s obvious that they care about each other but Dare needs to let go of feeling that he doesn’t deserve to be loved. Whether it’s by a woman, friends, or Knox and his parents.
The interactions between Dare and Bay were all over the place. I understand why but they’re relationship is really messed up. I felt like Bay was using Dare to get her music out there, and I felt that Dare was using Bay to remind him to keep his anger under control. It worked for one but not the other, in fact, one of them was worse off, in my opinion which is why it ended the way it had to.
I have high hopes for the next book. I’m looking forward to seeing how things work out because I always wish for a happy ending.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2021Once again this crafty storyteller has torņ my heart out and shatteřed it to smithereens. At least I can look forward to the last book knitting me back together again, because, holy carp, this second part of Bay and Dare's story is angst overload!
Okay, I had to get that out since I’m still reeling from this one. I mean, wow! Just wow. And yes, for those of you wondering, this second act ends in a cliffie just like the first did. But there's so much packed into this story that if I didn’t already love these characters, I would now. And since they already secured a place in my heart, it feels like I’ve spent an hour in the blender on frappe.
Things didn’t end well for Dare Keyton when he left his small hometown of Greenwood. He couldn’t get away from his horrible home life fast enough after graduation. But then he made the worst possible choice, taking out his frustration on his sweet girlfriend, Bay, and destroying the one possession she held dear that was passed on to her from her late father. What Dare had yet to understand is that leaving town and putting his past behind him didn’t mean that his emotional baggage wouldn’t follow him.
Four years later, he's finished college, gotten signed with the LA Lions professional football team and is arriving at their summer training camp. He couldn’t be more surprised when he runs into Bay, one of the housing staff for the training camp.
These two! Oh my heart, it's like everyone in the world knows they belong together, but the stars simply refuse to align for Bay and Dare/Keyton. I felt every second of their pain, desperation, disappointment, desire and fragile hope as if it were my own. I can’t wait to finally get to their HEA.
I think, when it's all said and done, the reader will have worked just as much for this HEA as Bay and Dare! If you’re cliffie adverse, wait until the last book comes out, but definitely make this romaņce priority one on your TBR. It's unbelievably touching and downright mesmerizing, and it will be one of the very best things you read this year!

5.0 out of 5 stars My Second helping
I read the first book and was so upset to find it was part of a series because I couldn’t stop holding my breath! but then I was elated when I discovered that I was only a week out from the release of book two. I was insanely addicted to Dare and Bays story so when book 2 landed on my kindle I didn’t dare put it down. This instalment has me twisted up in knots now and I don’t know if I should rage, ugly cry or fist pump the air. You can’t help but hate some of their actions but love their others for both the main characters. You really can’t decide who is the bad guy or if there is even one. Is everyone just messed up or is nobody? I can’t wait for number 3.....alas this time I’ve got a month to wait until I find out if Bay Dare’s to find her Bae.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this couple
I just love the Bay and Dare story. This book had me more frustrated than the first based on some of his Choices but I’m still excited to see where the next book will lead them

4.0 out of 5 stars 3.75 stars
While I loved the first book in the trilogy and was waiting for Bay & Dare's reunion, it was quite a disappointment. I liked all the pain, angst and emotions this book brought out but I think Bay was too selfish and self absorbed for my liking. The way Dare was constantly trying to correct his mistakes and just wanted a real second chance with her but Bay just used him to get over her fears and lead him on, only to leave him in the end without even trying to make their relationship work was cowardly. Normally, I love it where the male mc has to grovell but here I felt really bad for Dare. He truly had nobody and his only anchor was Bay but it was releif that he atleast reconnected with Knox. Anyway I'm too pissed at the way this book ended but I'm going to read the next one to get some closure and hope that Bay would recognise her mistakes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh my word- 😭😭😭
I haven’t reviewed the first book yet, but after pulling an all nighter because I couldn’t put it down, I had to review.
We meet Dare and Bay where we left off in the Art of Loving you.
Dare has a gruelling football camp which is pretty much the make or break for his career, but he can’t let go of trying to fix things with Bay. We see the attachment between the two of them strengthen over the course of the book. The invisible thread that tethers them together hasn’t left them. Just knowing how long he’s waited for her gives me all the feels.
We see how Bay starts to let the past go to embrace new opportunities and how Dare has the past keep coming to haunt him.
Can they survive this though?
I cried so much and had all the feels during this book.
Maya Hughes has outdone herself again. This book is angsty, real, raw and you’re rooting for the characters right from the outset.
Things I loved:
The angst
Good character development
Links to Easter Eggs from another series
Blasts from the past
Things I didn’t love:
The cliffhanger ending- do I really have to wait a month to find out more?!
Bring on the next book!
