Mojitos, Moonlight….and Murder.
What could be better than a week of sipping mojitos, basking in the sun, and listening to waves lap against a Caribbean beach? Nothing, according to Jordan Blair and her friend, Ellie Cassidy, until their vacation transforms into a terrifying nightmare.
The former occupant of their room has vanished and the charismatic resort manager is unconcerned. He suggests the woman has taken off for a romantic interlude. Given the visible police presence and Jordan’s police training, she doesn’t buy that story. Another guest attaches himself to Jordan and Ellie, but his playboy demeanor and covert activities arouse Jordan’s suspicions. Could he have been involved with the woman’s disappearance?
Plagued by unanswered questions, Jordan lets her guard down. Now, she and Ellie are running for their lives. Will her survival skills save them or result in a fight she can’t win?

5.0 out of 5 star sLovedthis book!!
By DennyMacon August 29, 2018
Format: Kindle Edition
I really enjoyed this book a lot. Itwas such a fun read; I couldn't put it down and read the entire book in a day.It was very well written, had likeable characters, and was extremelyentertaining throughout. I couldn't wait to read the second book in the series,Death's Footprint, so I started (and completed it) the next day. I highlyrecommend this book, although you'll never look at travelling the same way onceyou read it! lol

Jordanand Ellie embark on a much-anticipated vacation at a resort in Barbados. Ellieseems determined to drink her way through their vacation. Jordan, a Canadianpoliceman, seems determined to enjoy her travels while keeping an eye out forher friend. They meet a few men who seemed bent on their own agendas. I reallyenjoyed the interplay between the characters. There was danger, attemptedkidnaps as well as a hint of a future between the characters. Itsurprised me how fast this story went. An excellent read.

5/5 Star; Fun frolic in the Caribbean but deadly! December 2, 2015
This is a fun frolic in the Caribbean for two Canadian women who are looking for smooth drinks and warm waters, fleeing the cold climes of their native Canada. The two friends are very different, and the interplay between them is fun. You will enjoy this novella, I guarantee it.

"Targeted"is a tightly paced thriller that takes place at a Honduras resort whereCanadian tourists, Jordan and Ellie arrive & the story's tension starts the minute the girls exit the plane to stand, unknowingly, in the view of a character peeping at them through binoculars.
On the way to the resort, the girls meet Darcy Piermont, a character I hopewe'll see in a future novel.

Soon after arriving at the idyllic beach resort in the Caribbean, good friends Ellie and Jordan learn of the disappearance of an English girl from their resort. To make matters worse, they are staying in the missing girl’s room. Jordan, more practical in nature, due to her profession as a police officer, begins to suspect something shady is happening at the hotel. While Ellie is more intent on enjoying their vacation and having a good time.

The girls quickly befriend the good-looking hotel manager, Tate Robson, and the slightly eccentric Darcey Piedmont, but neither of these characters is what you imagine.

The girls have been targeted by a local gang and being trusting tourists, they find themselves in a dangerous situation. Fortunately, due to Jordan’s training and logical mind, they manage to escape their would-be kidnappers. However, not everything is straightforward, this book had me guessing until the end.

Targeted is literary escapism at its best. This feel-good novella was an easy read. It is a perfect distraction for a summer’s afternoon, when you want to be whisked away to an island paradise, with white sugar sands, sea kissed by the sun, and cocktails made to order.

In Donna Warner and Gloria Ferris' Targeted, Canadian police office Jordan Blair and her friend, Ellie Cassidy get the adventure of a lifetime on their vacation in Honduras. When they discover a woman, who had stayed at the same hotel, recently went missing, they learn that life there isn't just bikinis and drinks. Jordan is left to rely on her survival instincts to make sure she and Ellie make it home.
I didn't want this story to end. It was fast-paced and full of interesting characters. I want to go on more adventures with Jordan Blair. This is perfect for any thriller lover who wants a quick dose of excitement.
