I loved how J.D. knew what the holidays were all about. She was all in, helping her friends out, going to Vegas for a bachelor's party, having a friends and family discount at her shop, I totally enjoyed reading her stories! This book was exceedingly enjoyable to read! I am very happy she got her true mate.

First, I’ve loved this series and will be reading many more by Alicia Montgomery. Now, for Scrooge. This one was a difficult read for me. JD is not my cup of tea. Crude, crass, vulgar language and her utter lack of self-control was a put-off. I’ve never understood a woman’s need to prove hers is the biggest dick in the room, either. I almost stopped reading this one early on. I’m happy I pushed on (very nice ending) and although she still won’t be a favorite character, I can see and appreciate the dichotomy in her character and believe she has a tender and generous heart (buried very, very deeply).

Cam (Aleksandr) is a great character, a polar bear shifter. His personality rang truer to how his background was described. No, I don’t see the mate factor for him and JD, but you can’t argue with fate.

“… I had to see for myself what kind of man Aleksandr turned out to be and what mate fate had chosen for him.”

“I’m sure you didn’t expect me,” J.D. said.

A last comment (and all of this is strictly my opinion), I physically cringed EVERY time she referred to Cam as “champ.” I think any male over the age of ten years does too!

Warning: Do not start reading this in the early morning hours or you won't get any sleep. I finished a book before 2 a.m. and figured I'd read a few pages of this one. Wrong!!! I finished up at 5:30 this morning but at least I had the luxury of sleeping late. I've loved J.D. in all the previous books. She's been quirky, outspoken, loyal to a fault and you can't help but like her. Cam was a bit of a mystery in the past but as we learn about him in this book we gain an understanding of his personality and past. The two of them were such an unlikely pair that they really did balance each other out. I was disappointed in Cam a couple of times but he saw the error of his ways and made amends. He really should have listened to his bear more. I enjoyed having the characters from the previous book make appearances and they showed how loved J.D. truly was and how much of a family they all were. I adored Cam's grandmother. She was down to earth and just wanted her grandson to be happy. There were forces that wanted to keep Cam and J.D. apart but heaven help those who try to stop fated mates. There were also a few twists in the story that added to the plot. Although I am sorry to see this series ending, I can't wait for the next series, "The Dragon Guards of the Northern Isles."

I love this book since yes it’s a Christmas book but the characters JD and Cam such an unlikely pairing but it worked. I laugh and laugh and had to explain a few scenes to my husband who was wondering why I was laughing so much. What I could have asked for more details on that year before the wedding and have JD in Russia handling that side of Cam’s family. I have officially read all the Blackstone books. I recommend to all over the age of 18 of course.

Perfect ending to the Ranger series, although I hate to see it ending, or is it?? Finally JD's story, and man was it worth the wait! JD has been such a backdrop to this series, always speaking her mind and unafraid to cuss anyone out and I was such a fan. So the fact that she was finally getting her HEA was awesome and I couldn't wait to see who her mystery mate was.

They are such opposites, but JD being JD waists no time jumping the mans bones as soon as her cat figures out he is her mate which is right away, why wait, they go at it like bunnies and on Damon's desk of all places.

Cameron Spencer is such a nerd, you would never peg him as JD's mate, but that he is. But Cam is not all that he seems to be and he is afraid that his little feisty cat will high tail it when she finds out.

Cam doesn't take into account that brooklyn born JD can take a whole lot more than she is given credit for. Add all the laugh out loud moments, twists and turns, and the steamy romance and you have quite a read.

Cam is a wimp and JD was one of the most level headed down to earth females I have ever seen in a romance.

He does not deserve her - the things she goes through to be “worthy” of him, to be able to stand by him - it had me in all my feels.

    I cried for this woman

It was a good ending to the story / series - the side plot was a little odd, although predictable. There was enough nonsense that it really wasn’t necessary tbh.

Smut was alright, dirty talk was basically non-existent.

Ending was abrupt, as it is with all of these freakin books.

I’m so glad we finally got all of J.D.‘s secrets out of the way.

Been waiting for J.Ds story for what feels like forever. And it did not disappoint. Seemed like a very different style to the previous books. No one fighting the bond but still facing obstacles. Loved it! Now I've officially read every single on of the authors books I'm not sure what to do with myself.

I loved the feisty JD, and thought her perfect for Cam.
I was sure there was more to the apparently cold scientist.
It was great to have this book tie in with the Northern Isles stories.
