About the author

Lyn Horner resides in Fort Worth, Texas – “Where the West Begins” – with her husband and several very spoiled cats. Her two grown children live within easy driving distance along with a gaggle of delightful grandkids.
Trained in the visual arts at the prestigious Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Lyn worked as a fashion illustrator and art instructor for a number of years before turning to her longtime love of writing. She takes pride in crafting passionate love stories, both historical and contemporary. When not writing, Lyn enjoys reading, gardening, genealogy, visiting with family and friends, and cuddling her furry, four-footed children.
The author’s Texas Devlins series blends authentic Old West settings, steamy romance and a glimmer of paranormal. This series has earned multiple awards and nominations, including Crowned Heart reviews and a Rone Award nomination from InD’Tale Magazine.
Lyn was a contributor to Rawhide ʼn Roses, a Western Romance Anthology. This book was a finalist in the 2015 RONE Awards anthology category. Lyn was also part of the bestselling western Christmas anthology Silver Belles and Stetsons. Regrettably, these books are no longer available. However, she is represented in The Posse, a historical western anthology available on Amazon.
Jumping from the American Old West to the present time, Lyn immersed herself in her eight-book romantic suspense series, Romancing the Guardians. These books combine her trademark flashes of psychic phenomena with Irish folklore and a chilling pre-apocalyptic theme. Along the way, readers are treated to thunderous action, terrifying suspense and sizzling romance in places around the world.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2017I loved this book for several reasons. The biggest reason was the characters. It was refreshing to read about characters closer to my own age rather than sweet young things in their twenties. Delilah is a mathematical genius and a business woman. Pairing her up with a rugged American Indian couldn't have been easy. But Lyn pulled it off with flying colors. They weren't shy about expressing their extreme differences but maturity gave them the advantage of the wisdom of how to overcome those differences and still enjoy a romantic relationship that would last a long time. But have to say, having a Leon was easy to fall for. He's proud and protective at the same time and he knew a good woman when he saw her.
Another reason I really enjoyed the book is the French location. I've visited the settings in this book and it was fun to revisit them through this book as the Hell Hounds (bad guys) chase them through the French countryside to gain access to the secret scrolls Delilah protects. With each of her books in this series, Lyn takes us to a new world location and it keeps this series fresh. I recommend that fellow readers read this entire series for better understanding but I'm certain none will be disappointed. Each book gets us closer to the secrets and the big battle that is sure to happen when the Hell Hounds, descend to steal the secrets along with the power of the knowledge they contain. Can't wait!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2017Leon was sent to Paris to bring Delilah back to the Guardians stronghold. But the evil that is after Delilah shows up and they are on the run to get away. The two of them fall In love, but have they gotten the evil to close to the stronghold?
- Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2017I enjoyed the leading man, Leon Tseda. He is a normal man who happens to be Navajo. He's 5-feet-10 and 52 years old. He's not a super-jock, a ninja, or a weight-lifting fanatic. I'm happy us old, grey-haired guys have a hero we can relate to. Leon has no Superpowers, just a skilled observer of human nature. Delilah's unique skill is her ability to process numbers, and like Spock, she is logical. The pair complement each other when things go from bad to worse. The chase leads across France with scoundrels in hot pursuit before they return to, you guessed it, Navajo land, where Leon has the upper hand. I enjoyed this book enough to make me want to read the rest of the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2017This is a fun, fast read. I fell for the hero almost immediately and Delilah made me want to be able to meet her... or at least friend her on FB. She needs Leon's help but she's no damsel in distress. She carries her weight in the adventure. That's become a must for me when I read romantic suspense and Lyn Horner doesn't disappoint.

Delilah Moreau is a Guardian living in France and dedicating herself to her business and not the prophecy she has been charged to guard. One day she gets an uninvited and unwanted visitor when Leon Tseda comes calling. Leon is a Navajo sent to bring Delilah back to the States to join the other Guardians only she is not willing to just trust him nor does she want to go to the States and leave her life.
It doesn’t take long before Leon convinces Delilah that he is there to protect her from the Hellhounds led by Balor and who is determined to kill all the Guardians and obtain all the prophecies. When the Hellhounds come to Delilah’s office she can no longer deny that she is in danger and needs to accompany Leon. They are followed wherever they go since Balor has people at his disposal everywhere.
There is no doubt that the airports are being watched and a disguise is the only chance they have of going unnoticed. Cutting his long grey hair and dying it even Delilah takes a moment to recognize him and her blond curly wig and outlandish outfit is equally shocking. They cannot fly from France and their journey takes them to Nice but how long can they hope to go unrecognized?
Balor wants Delilah but his greatest desire is to get Lara Flewellen the leader of the Guardians who he blames for his disfigurement and all his other troubles. He has had Lara’s twin sister Sara his prisoner for two years keeping her addicted to heroin and making her give him information on where Lara is. There is a connection between the sisters and as much as Sara tries to keep Lara’s whereabouts a secret the pull of the heroin and her withdrawal from it are too much for her to bear but that is a story for another time.
While running Leon and Delilah grow close and although he never thought he could be with another woman after the death of his wife he is beginning to think differently. Leon and Delilah are both older she is in her forties and he is in his fifties and neither ever thought they could find love at their age.
I have read all the books in this series and loved them all. Reviews are all subjective, each person sees something another might not and I see a series filled with suspense and amazing characters.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2017One of my favorites of the series so far! Kept me totally engrossed first in Paris then back in the USA. I just couldn't put it down, so I read it in one sitting. Highly enjoyable and I can't wait for the next one to be released.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2017Lyn Horner is one of those writers you can count on to deliver consistently good storytelling. Often I pick up a book and it's a bit of a gamble--not so here, because this author always hits the mark. Great read!
