Bioterror Kindle Edition

3.9 out of 5 stars 33 ratings

In a world where the line between science and monstrosity blurs, one experiment threatens to unleash a horror beyond comprehension.

SIX YEARS AGO – NKUDBKAH, IRAQ
In the shadow of conflict, a small Republican Guard mechanized infantry unit and the isolated village nearby are unwittingly chosen by the CIA to be part of a horrific experiment: Project BioGenesis. This dark endeavor seeks to harness genetically modified organisms as a means of biological warfare. But when the operation goes catastrophically wrong, the reconnaissance team sent to assess the weapon encounters a terrifying fate, becoming infected by weaponized parasites. The only solution? Annihilation under a blanket of napalm and phosphorus, a cleansing fire meant to erase the evidence of their failure… or so they thought.

NOW – CHICAGO, ILLINOIS
Fast forward to the present day, where down-on-her-luck journalist Shawna Geddes witnesses the abduction of a homeless man by shadowy figures in a white van. Driven by instinct, she follows and uncovers one of the most horrifying secrets in modern history. Joined by her unscrupulous colleague, Harry Niles, Shawna discovers a series of mysterious deaths in Chicago, all linked by a grotesque, wriggling tendril—an infestation spreading like wildfire across the globe. They are ensnared in its malevolent coils, racing against time to expose the truth before it’s too late.

Prepare for
Bioterror, a gripping blend of science fiction, horror, and political thriller. Tim Curran masterfully explores the depths of mad science and bioterrorism in a tale that will leave you questioning the very fabric of reality. Can humanity survive the onslaught of this vermicular monstrosity, or will it succumb to the dark forces unleashed by unchecked ambition?

Dive into the chilling world of Bioterror today—before it's too late!

If Tom Clancy and Brian Keene wrote a book together, this would be it. As said in other reviews, the spycraft portion really falls flat. So slow. My least favorite Curran Book.

Just an awesome novel. Curran does a fantastic job of giving you a global view of a biological crisis as well as a narrow view through his characters. The impression I got was that there were really three distinct terrors. There was The U.S. Government, the collective, and the worms themselves. They were all equally terrifying. Tons of parallels with the Corona Virus pandemic that seemed chillingly familiar. Whole novel has a delicious sense of dread that starts about page 3 and NEVER lets up. Definitely up there with Dead Sea, Resurrection, and The Devil Next Door as one of Curran's better efforts.
