It was a fast read and real good. I love all of his books. I foresee this series being as popular as the Jack Creed series.

Selena Sharma is the owner of a bed and breakfast in Pottsville, Australia. Her father, Rousi Sharma, would prefer she move back to India and marry into a wealthy family. Although Selena's father is India's rice king, she would prefer to make it on her own.

Selena is also an amateur sleuth who helps police detective, Cameron Stewart, with some of his cases. They both tease each other because they like each other quite a bit; but they aren't dating - yet!

This particular story is about a serial killer who doesn't like to take no for an answer when it comes to proposing marriage.

C.T. Mitchell writes short books, but he includes enough information to make it interesting without a lot of details. There are no gory details or cursing. I've purchased several of C. T. Mitchell's books and look forward to reading all of them.

C T Mitchell wrote a great short read. Selena is a real treat in her sleuthing abilities. I read this in 45 minutes to one hour.

Selena’s father brought her up to stand up for herself. Now he regrets it and wants her to return to India and marry the man he had picked out for her. But that was the furthest thing from her mind. She still had plenty of things to be done in Australia. These included starting her very own Indian café franchise, Selena’s Spice, and helping Detective Cameron Stewart solve murders. I enjoyed this book and the Indian culture C.T. included. I recommend it for those who like a fast moving murder story.

This was a good story line. I like a short read sometimes, but I would have loved to see this one fleshed out some more. The characters are good but I felt there could have been more.

After saying that I want to say I am a fan of C.T. Mitchell. I have read some other books of his. So I would recommend
that you read this book and get a taste of what a good author he is.

I liked the characters and the setting. I enjoyed the quirky Selena who was a change from the usual heroines. She lives in Australia and is of Indian descent, which allows her views on the place of women to shine through. I will be reading more of this author's books.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing

This short story is very disappointing to someone who considers the region the author writes about home. The very brief descriptions are so inaccurate the author would probably have been wiser to use fictional names.
I wasn’t expecting a short story when I downloaded what I thought was a book from Amazon. But for such a short read, it was very poorly edited.
