Bonded Fate (Guardians of the Maiden Book 2) Kindle Edition
JOINED BY BLOOD. BOUND BY DESTINY.
Reeling from Cassiel's confession, Dyna struggles to understand what the Blood Bond means for them both, all the while trying to stay one step ahead of a new found enemy. When reuniting with a familiar sorceress, she realizes the only way to defeat Tarn is to find her Guardians—all of them.
Cassiel never meant to tie himself to a human, especially one that inexplicably draws him. But then the bond develops a startling change, and it puts into question everything he thought he knew.
Zev straddles the line between human and wolf, unsure if his dark thoughts truly belong to the Madness. It’s growing stronger, determined to take over—and he may just let it.
The journey to get the answers they each need will test them all. But what Dyna doesn't know is that it comes with a price, and it may cost more than she bargained for.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2023That is what Bonded Fate did to me. It is without a doubt a fave read of 2022!
Learning more about the blood bond, and Cassiel's past were high points of the story - next to the willow scene ifykyk. The moment Cassiel and Dyna got close after they finally talked was a great moment in the story, I kept wanting to happen - and was getting mad when he was being infuriatingly stubborn and would lmao. This seems to be the moment he becomes more willing to open up more and connect more.
Zev has become a big part of my thoughts since picking up Bonded Fate and I'm so worried about him. My heart weeps every time the madness taunts him to the point I wish I could protect him. He deserves so much and to know he thinks so lowly of himself makes my heart hurt for him.
Rawn and Lucenna become more present in this book, which really makes me happy. I do think they are an essential part, and having Fair and hearing more about the elves is so fun! Lucenna getting Dyna to be honest with herself, after starting to teach her magic was written so beautifully I forgot to actually breathe from anticipation during that scene. Rooting for Dyna the way. I won't lie, I screamed when it came out that I was right regarding the twist to the relations (ifykyk, I don't want to spoil it).
Now time to see if other theories are correct, and I'm curious to see what new theories I'll have after reading Shattered Souls. Like...
Klyde, he's a bit of an enigma for me still so it will be nice to see him more in Shattered Souls, and if he and Lucenna will have anything..I'm pretty sure Klyde will also be another guardian so we shall see!
The tension growing between The Guardians and Tarn's men escalates violently in the conclusion of Bonded Fate, with an ending that left me throwing my kindle and crying.,
I didn't want to talk to anyone either haha.
The devastation Beck inflects is severe, ruthless, and heart racing - but it does not end with the guardians.
Becoming fond of even people on Tarn's side - she shows that not all who help villains are villainous themselves. Yavi is a great example of this and she holds a good portion of my concern since Von first mentioned what the seer foretold, Now it has only festered and gotten worse after she found out what King of Azure declared. My heart broke as she realized the betrayal on Von's end. Yavi of everyone deserves only happiness - but I fear she will not get it.
Dyna's growth in BF has been the most amazing in my opinion, and I'm thrilled to see where and just how powerful she becomes...because I believe wholeheartedly that Dyna is going to be powerful. It will also be wonderful to find out more about her powers, and hopefully, soon I'll find out if my assumption's regarding Dyna's powers are correct.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2021First, my compliments to Beck Michaels for another great book. The story, the character, the world building, the whole package is just nothing short of amazing. I am left feeling unsatisfied, however, because at the end I read the following...Shattered Souls coming August 2022. August 2022! That is just simply too far away. This is exactly why I do not like starting a series unless it is either finished or nearly finished. After reviewing the author's website I discovered she has plans for a seven book series. If it continues to take one year for each book I'm just not sure I can stick it out for the next five years. I'm getting old. I also read she has been working on the story for 15 years. Shouldn't the seven books be completed twice over by now?
My frustration aside, this book was enjoyable. I finished it in two days. I did find myself wishing I had read it before it went to print so I could correct the mistakes I found, there were enough to become noticeable. Not a reflection of the author but the editor/proof reader.
I shall close with this. It is never bad when you are left wanting more and I do so want more, but five years is longer than some people keep the same job, longer than some people keep their cars, heck longer than some marriages last. This is a commitment and I'm just not sure I'm there yet.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2022BECK MICHAELS YOU GENIUS I LOVE YOU???????
I can't even begin to explain how much I am obsessed with this series, but I am going to give it a go.
The plot. The writing. The world building. The characters. The character DEVELOPMENT. Absolutely beautiful and astonishing. The complexity and the struggles of each character are so different and intriguing that no matter who's POV you're reading it feels like a rollercoaster of emotions. I truly have love for every character in this book and want them all to get their own storyline that's how amazing Beck Michaels is at developing the people in her book. I don't even know where to begin so I'm going to go through each one and explain why I would literally take a bullet for (most) of them.
Dyna.... Sweet girl, I would literally punch a puppy to protect you. For a bit in the beginning of the book, I truly thought that how sweet she was to everyone was going to backfire on her, when in reality it's just brought every one of her guardians together. I absolutely live for her growth in this book. In book one, I was kind of relieved to not have the typical fantasy female who is such a "bad ass, loner, different from everyone else, super strong and can beat the crap out of anyone at age 16" pick me ass girl. Not that that is a terrible thing, but I was starting to feel like all female MC's in books were cookie cutter versions of each other, so to see a female MC who isn't sure of herself, has a lot to learn, has a lot of things she's afraid of but trying to overcome, is very smart but not exactly physically capable of protecting herself YET, is quite the breath of fresh air. I truly cannot wait to see where her journey takes us in the next book.
Zev, my baby. The amount of trauma this person carries would be crippling to anyone, and it's interesting to see the way he kind of grows from it and the end of this book and how he realizes that his suicidal thoughts aren't the answer, that he can heal. I just hope he finds a person to love like everyone else is. Also, his mom is a b i t c h and I hope she rots even though we've never even met her lol
Cassiel. Your name is like a mix of Cassian and Casteel.... I see what you did here Beck Michaels. I love it. His broodiness... chef's kiss. His love for Dyna... swoon. His character development is a bit slower than I was expecting but I am still enjoying the journey. I'm truly intrigued by his family dynamic and his position as a prince. Use that power to your advantage honey!!!
Daddy? I mean.... Rawn? Never change baby. I love you. If Beck Michaels decides to change the trajectory if your character throughout this series, I will go to war for you sweet boy.
Von. Oh honey. Listen, I am really interested to see where his character ends up, and I am truly curious to see if he is another one of Dynas guardians. I think it would be a shocking plot twist, but I'm also not holding my breath. He's obviously a significant character if he gets his own POVs. I love the complexity of his status as a slave and the realization he, and the rest of his friends in the camp, that they could be free if they truly wanted to be.
Lucenna. I am mad at you. I hope you become better, the only reason I still have a smidgen of hope for you is because I love the cause you're fighting for and I think you're an overall bad ass, but your attitude girl!!!!! Be nice!!!!
Other characters I am super excited to see the workings of is Elon, Len and Yavi. Elon and Len especially, they would be so bad ass fighting against Tarn.
Speaking of that crushed up freak, what an interesting villain. I truly like his storyline and I can't wait to see him die later in the series. He dies, right? I'm putting in my bets now

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!
I absolutely love the story telling in this series! The tangled webs that have all came together and those still to be shown, the representation, and the depth of each character (although I would like more of Rawn's story) developed so thoroughly that you really care about what happens to them. The world building is fantastic, and the way in which the author has written about mental health and the struggles Zev (and others) constantly battled with was very well done. I'd have loved more progress of the journey in this book, but it was by no means a flaw, I'm just greedy and wanted so many things to happen! I seen that there are to be seven in total, so I believe that the pacing of the story is deliberate and it really allows for the detail which sucks me in wholly. I can't believe how long there is until the next book 😭 thank you Beck Michael's for this series!!
I recommend if you love Sarah J Maas, Raven Kennedy and Jennifer L. Armentrout like I do, although the two books released as of now aren't as spicy (the burn is SLOW but I just know the rest of the series is gonna get spicy 🥵 I am here for it)

4.0 out of 5 stars 4⭐ - @clodiaslibrary su IG

5.0 out of 5 stars HOLD THE FRICKIN PHONE
Beck Michaels, like all of your Guardians in this book, I was just doing my thing until Divine Blood and Bonded Fate came into my life, and I just have to say, you should be put in prison for these cliff hangers! They are illegal!
*teradactyl screech*
In the acknowledgments of Divine Blood, Michaels mentioned how she has been working on this series for 15 years, and IT SHOWS. This could have easily turned into a stereotypical, Lord of the Rings style "let's go on an adventure to find a rare item" where the book consists of 60% filler and 40% plot, but I was never bored! Instead, I got SERVED interesting, complex characters who are deeply flawed, and who make mistakes and have regrets - which, incidentally, lead to interesting plot and story developments - and incredible, complex worldbuilding. The exposition feels so effortless because Michaels allows to her story and characters to just BE, where I get a strong sense of them just from their characterisation and details. I know some readers may complain that there's a lot going on, perhaps too much, but Michaels handles the complex lore very well. She knows her story, she knows her stuff, and you're in good hands.
What are you doing reading all of these reviews? The only reading you should be doing right now is Divine Blood and Bonded Fate.

5.0 out of 5 stars That ending had me SHOCKED!
This book was probably one of the best reads I've had all year. I remember reading book one last year and thinking this is giving heavy LOTR and now this book just came through with its promise of ampting up the stakes. Gonna go read book 3 now so I can prepare for book 4 hehe. This is definitely a recommend for those that like action and adventure with the cutest found family and slow burn romance.
