Trish McCallan was born in Eugene, Oregon, and grew up in Washington State, where she began crafting stories at an early age. Her first books were illustrated in crayon, bound with red yarn, and sold for a nickel at her lemonade stand. Trish grew up to earn a bachelor’s degree in English literature with a concentration in creative writing from Western Washington University, taking jobs as a bookkeeper and human- resource specialist before finally quitting her day job to write full time.

Forged in Fire, the first book in her Red Hot SEALs series, came about after a marathon reading session, and a bottle of Nyquil that sparked a vivid dream. She lives today in eastern Washington. An avid animal lover, she currently shares her home with four golden retrievers, a black lab mix and two cats.

    This is the 3rd book in the Bound By series, and it is a good one! This story brings us Rio and Becca and it's about their second chance. They have a very complicated history. Theirs is a very good story with engaging characters, chemistry, strong story line, suspense, and action. I buy books by Trish as soon as I see them. She is one of my favorite authors and I always know I will get a great story. I enthusiastically give this 5 stars. On another note, if you haven't read Trish's Forged series also you are missing out!

    This was a good story. I liked it better than Lucas and Emma's story. I would've liked it better in 1st person but it was still good. It was pretty predictable though in who the "villain/villains" were. But overall it was a good read. I liked the path that evolved for Becca's life. It was a good way to show how she grew from the tragedy. The only thing that really struck me was that it never really was explained whether she saw something happen to her mother or if that was a mind thing that happened because of discovering her. Also, I didn't feel like Rio properly dealt with any consequences of his lack of faith in her. I felt like he kinda got let of easy for how he bailed without hearing her out or not having any faith in her. I would've liked to see him have to work more for her trust.

    Secrets will come out and that certainly is the case with Rio and Becca. Tag and some of the seals are back and they quickly join Becca’s fan club. The case is a cold case, but it quickly gets hot with people trying to kill Becca. The jumping of time works because Rio and Becca dated years ago and it helps build the background of their relationship, end of the relationship and the cold case facts. A great and quick read!

    Becca and Rio used to be a thing. Becca had a terrible childhood. Becca came home from school and found her mother had hung herself. Becca went to live with her father, his wife and 2 half siblings. The boy Adam was really mean to her. I loved this book. I would recommend. It has mystery that you don't see coming.

    Rio and Becca were once pretty tight. But lies were told and he left her. She went away and grew into the woman she was meant to be. Her mothers death had left many scars inside her. But when she gets a diary that once was her mother's truths started to comes out. This was a fast read and it was predictable in the outcome.

So she travels to San Diego and goes to the police department and there finds Rio who doubts her information. From there on things get dangerous, interesting and Rio and Becca begin feeling the tension growing between them. An interesting story with some twists and interesting ending. Loved all three of this set.

    San Diego PD Detective Dante 'Rio' Addario originally appeared in Bound by Temptation' and initially wasn't a particularly sympathetic character; he starts off in a similar vein here when his ex 'almost' fiancee, Rebecca Blaine, bursts back into his life after 12 years demanding that her mother's suicide be reinvestigated, she has new evidence that suggests foul play. All this happens fairly quickly in the book and I really don't want to give away too much plot, as there is plenty of it: the breakdown of their relationship 12 years ago, the impact of the affair of Rebecca's mother and the repercussions of her 'suicide'. A previous review said the story was too short and maybe so (I'm really not a fan the 'novella') but the plot is tight and fast paced, none of the endless descriptions and waffling that can often pad out a 'longer' story. I liked that there were other characters from 'Temptation' here as well. All in all another great book from this author and a good addition to the Red Hot SEALs and Bound world. Just waiting for 'Forged in Ember' now!!!

    This is probably the least favourite of the series and the only reason is because it took so long for Rio "to get a clue". Luckily Rebecca was able to tell his friends and they made sure he knew he was an "ass". When he finally figured it out I cheered so it can't have been too bad. Good one Trish.
