    As we've learned in the previous two books, there isn't anything Bruno wouldn't do for Serena. Book three is no exception.
    In America, Bruno grew up on the wrong side of the law and has been there ever since. Serena's family was Mafioso until her father's death. Can you ever escape that life? In Serena's case, no. Good thing she's had Bruno to keep an eye on her. Had, being the operative word.
    Serena remembers the explosion, her getaway and leaving Bruno behind. She's heartbroken. Devastated. The first order of business is to keep Serena safe. After a few mishaps and very close calls, Bruno's men accomplish this task. That doesn't deter the Cleaners or Don Abruzzi from going after her. Serena is on the the run. She's running for her life and that of her unborn child. The Cleaners will never give up on finding Serena and getting their revenge. Serena must face life without Bruno, but it's not just her life at stake. Serena is carrying Bruno's baby. She knows if Bruno could, he would move heaven and earth to save them. If only it was that easy.

We pick up where we left off, Bruno is presumed dead, Serena is beside herself for leaving him behind, now on the run for her life, they will never stop looking for her. She’s alone and wants Bruno with her. She’s befriended by a woman and they work together in a woman’s shelter for two months, that is until her past catches up with her again. Will Serena ever have peace of mind? Is Bruno really gone or is he trying to protect her again? This books is filled with suspense, danger, dark moments, it’s sexy, sweet and smoldering hot! You definitely need to read this to find out how it ends for Bruno and Serena. No spoilers from me ladies!!!

    This was the perfect ending to this emotional story. Bruno and Serena had the odds stacked against them time and time again, but time and time again they over came those odds. This story is based on life in the mafia, for me however, all the mafia drama was background noise, what pulled me into the story, was the love between Bruno and Serena. If you like a roller coaster ride, this is the series for you, you will not be disappointed. Ms. Abbott knocked it out of the park, and I can"t wait to read her next book.

    I can't believe the worst luck for Serena! She has had it so bad. Seriously. I'm having the worst time trying to get over the obstacles. They are absolutely crazy.

    Let me tell you. This was one crazy journey. This book had it all. It was fantastic. Drama. Danger. Excitement. It was all there. I gasped a few times. I unfortunately didn't shed any tears (which is probably the reason for 4 Stars instead of 5 Stars). I didn't quite get an emotional connection with the characters. But it was still a fantastic read.

    I loved the connection between Bruno and Serena. They worked well together. There seemed to be a huge obstacle in one of their ways. It seemed like bad timing followed them everywhere.

    I really enjoyed this series. It was a really great read. I hope there will be a follow up novella in the near future. I'd like to see what they are up to. I'd recommend. Highly.

    I can't say enough about Alexis Abbott, who, as an author is so talented that he can tackle a subject with such a beautifully written storyline with characters that are so fleshed out that you feel like you are sitting on the sidelines watching as the story unfolds so flawlessly! This was one of those books that I hated to turn that very last page because I just wanted this story to continue, that is how invested I felt with these two characters!

    Wow....Just Wow! This bad boy stole my heart. Luca is a man we all wish for and Serena is his perfect countpart. This trilogy kept me up past my bedtime. The constant action and intrigue was beyond exciting and the heat between Luca and Serena was off the chain. This book, as well as the first 2 in this series, is the perfect example of why Alexis Abbott is the Queen of the Bad Boy Mafia genre.
