- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2020I received an ARC from NetGalley for a review of this book.
The author should be applauded for going out of the norm. Unfortunately, I found the style in which the book was written made it a hard read. I wasn't able to finish reading the book because of this. The style was almost like a play and just not what I am used to in reading. Sadly, I couldn't follow what was going on enough to know if the story it self had potential.

5.0 out of 5 stars An experience
This is not an easy read. It makes you work hard. If you tune in, you can see the scenes flashing past your eyes. It's not completely coherent yet there are snatches of stories and enough action to fill your head with images of the seedier side of London life. It's not really a read at all, it's an experience. Five stars for originality.

4.0 out of 5 stars Raw
Raw and visceral writing. Stark and contrasting. Probably one of the least commercial books I have ever read - and for that reason alone I consider it necessary in the sea of formulaic literature that's out there.
