    It’s back to Cougar Creek in Captured by Her Cougar. This time it’s Storm in the spotlight in the series, and he’s the complete opposite of Rath. If you read Claimed by Her Cougar, you’ll find that Rath is one of the country cougar shifters of the family, while Storm is the city cougar shifter who doesn’t want anything to do with Cougar Creek. He’s only at the Creek to assist his brothers during the mating season to make sure to break up any fights that happen between the male cougar shifters over the female cougar shifters. Although, now he has another mission and that is to keep the prisoner Gabriella contained in his cabin until she tells them that she isn’t with Archangel.

    Unfortunately, Storm is getting nowhere with her. She’s persistent she’s not with Archangel, but he doesn’t believe her. He’ll do anything to get her to ‘sing,’ but unfortunately, his fiery attitude is not helping. It doesn’t help either when Gabriella has the same fiery attitude.

    I love these two together, especially with all the bickering and tension between the two. They both are the perfect match for each other, even with all the drama going on between the two. Gabriella knows how to handle the problematic cougar shifter. Storm though has no idea how to handle her, especially when he realizes that he’s falling for her. There’s also the issue of everything happening in the mating season and how the other cougar shifters feel about Gabriella being there. So much is happening that you do not want to miss out on reading this novella.

    I don’t want to give too much away from the storyline because this a quick novella to read. It didn’t take me long to finish reading it. This has become my favorite so far in the series until I read Flint and Cobalt’s stories. Although, I did get a taste of these two in this book. I may end up enjoying their books more, but right now Storm wins it for my favorites. Some readers may not like his attitude at the beginning towards how he treated Gabriella, but in the end, he will win you over. 🙂 Gabriella also changes her ways at the end too. Like I said before, these two are perfect for each other.

    I give the second book in the series 5 stars and highly recommend this book and the series to PNR readers. I recommend reading the first book first though, so you can read Rath’s story and also find out what happened to have Gabriella become a prisoner to Storm.

    Absolutely loved this story, Storm is the H and Little Bird aka Gabi is the h of the story. I loved their banter and bickering which is their foreplay. Heaton hits us with some intense scenes, of the action kind both in and out of the bedroom. The chemistry between these two characters is explosive and will burn your kindle. A lesson is taught in this story, that you can't hold someone responsible for what their family did or who their family is because everyone has their own voice and opinion. Captured by her Cougar is worth Reading but I would read book one first(Claimed by her Cougar) because book two starts at the end of book one. Happy Reading!!

    Captured by her Cougar sees us return to the Canadian wilderness where we meet the second of the four cougar shifter brothers featured in the Cougar Creek Mates series.

    This is Storm and Gabriella's book. We were introduced to both characters towards the end of the first book Claimed by her Cougar when Gabi's half-brother, Alexander, came looking to cause trouble for the Cougars but things didn't quite go as he'd planned........

    Storm is convinced that Gabi is as bad as Alexander and as deeply involved in Archangel, regardless of how much she protests that this isn't the case. The longer he keeps her locked up in his cabin, the more he begins to feel for her and the less he can deny what he knows deep down about what she truly is to him!
    Although she's being kept captive Gabriella isn't afraid of Storm, or what she now knows he is, and stands up for herself as much as she can, but that doesn't stop her from plotting to get free and escape. The thing is, her attraction to Storm is undeniable and the more time she is around him the more she realises that she can sense him and she too begins to comprehend that there is more to their spark and attraction, even though she doesn't fully appreciate the implications.

    This pair were smokin' hot and the tension, physical attraction and passion between the pair was palpable. As ever, Ms Heaton didn't hold back on the chemistry, heat or action.
    I love the fact that be it fighting or sexing it up, Felicity's descriptions build such a picture that you can literally 'see' what she is writing about. I can't wait for the next instalment to find out how things go for Flint and Yasmin!!!

    A definite 5* recommended read for me!

    When Storm decides to keep Gabriella prisoner in his cabin at Cougar Creek he does not know what he is getting himself into. He figures he will get her to admit that she is working with Archangel like her brother was, and then he would figure out how to ensure she never got the chance to hurt his family again. When she insists that she is nothing like her brother and has no useful knowledge of Archangel he doesn't believe her. She insists she will only tell her stlrybto her friend Ivy, but Storm is not going to put his brother's mate in danger. The standoff leads to other..things as the two roomies fight the feelings they have for each other. Neither one of them gives trust easily, and then there is the whole human/cougar-shifter thing. Find out what happens when rock meets stone.

    This book is the 2nd in the Eternal Mates spin-off series about Cougar Creek. Although it could be read as a standalone book - to get the full force and see how the underlying storyline plays out you should read the first book.

    So this book follows Storm and Gabriella who are as stubborn as eachother; one determined to gather information on their enemies and the other determined to stay alive. The characters are extraordinary and the plot ever thickens!

    Felicity has outdone herself with the big fight scene and I was gripping my kindle, sat on the edge of my seat and breathing hard! This book in general has you wanting to keep reading - the style of writing means that there is always something going on which keeps ur eyes firmly glued to the book/screen!

    I look forward to the 3rd installment of this series!

    Nach dem Angriff auf ihr kleines Refugium in der kanadischen Wildnis hat Storm, als Teil der Familie, die für die Sicherheit des dort ansässigen Pumarudels verantwortlich ist, Gabrielle in Gefangenschaft.
    Gabi ist die Halbschwester des Mannes, der für den Angriff im Namen von Archangel verantwortlich ist. Sie hatte bis vor kurzem gar keine Ahnung, dass es überhaupt Menschen gibt, die ihre Gestalt ändern und zu Tieren werden können und wurde von ihrem Bruder Alexander zu dieser “Jagd” mitgeschleppt und wurde nach seinem Tod von einem seiner Opfer gefanen genommen und verbringt ihre Tage in seiner Hütte, die nun ihr Gefängnis ist.

    Storm versucht herauszufinden, was Gabi über das Rudel weiß und ob sie Teil von Archangel ist. Doch bald schon merkt er, dass er eigentlich viel lieber das zarte blonde Wesen, dass in seiner Hütte lebt, vor allem Bösen beschützen will. Das gilt auch besonders für die Puma-Schifter, die sich zum jährlichen Treffen in Kanada immer zahlreicher einfinden und Gabi und das was sie darstellt als Gefahr für sich sehen.

    Auch Gabi sieht nach und nach immer mehr den Mann, als den Wärter. Sie hat keine Angst vor Storm. Weder vor dem Tier in ihm, noch vor dem Mann. Doch bevor sie sich ihre Gefühle ihm gegenüber eingestehen kann, sorgt ein Missverständnis dafür, dass Gabi flieht und nur Storm und sein Brüder können sie aus dem Schlamassel retten.

    Diese Buch fand ich wirklich sehr gut. Zwischen den beiden Hauptcharakteren gibt es von Anfang an Spannungen, da sie sich gegenseitig misstrauen und doch zu einander hingezogen fühlen. Sie streiten sich und keiner gibt dem anderen nach. Genau solche Geschichten mag ich besonders gerne. Deshalb habe ich das Buch auch geradezu verschlungen.
    Dass am Ende natürlich alles gut wird, ist bei dieser Art von Geschichten abzusehen - denn das ist ja der Plan. Aber hier gibt es Hürden zu überwinden und Meinungen, die geändert werden müssen, bevor das unausweichliche Happy End passieren kann.

    I really loved reading this book and i sure am loo,ing forward to reading the next book in this series and i have found this book to be filled with lots of drama, lots of passion, a bit of danger, a bit of adventure, courage, honesty, confusion, fear, denial, sexuality, intensity, lots of hot sex, need, sensuality, understanding, caring, protectiveness, homour, misunderstanding, great storyline, trust, joy, love, soulmates, hunger, kindness, laughter, loyalty, family and friends, hot sexy cougar shape shifters, excitement, happily ever after, warmth, compassion and finally this was a wonderful book to read as well.

    This story is the second book in a new shifter series called Cougar Creek Mates Shifter Romance Series, which is an offshoot of the Eternal Mates series (which I love) and based in the same world.

    Storm is an interesting character. I must admit that I wasn't sure I liked him at first, but he grew on me - when he stopped being an a-hole towards the end, he became more likeable. He is one of Rath's brothers and first introduced to the reader in the first book, Claimed by her Cougar. He has a massive chip on his shoulder with regards to humans due to an incident that happened several years previously, so when Alexander, a hunter who works with Archangel, attacks his brother, Storm takes it upon himself to keep the hunter's step-sister Gabriella prisoner. Determined to gain information of Archangel from her, he finds himself torn between his duty to his family, and his undeniable attraction to her - as she's his one true mate.

    Gabriella is a fascinating character. I like her a lot, but feel that she vacillated between being a strong female lead, standing up for herself against more powerful people/shifters, and a useless damsel in distress; this is not necessarily a problem, but this meant (to me) that she could have behaved more consistently either way. Gabriella finds herself held prisoner by a sexy cougar shifter. Scared, but determined, she tries to come to terms with her step-brother's death and her growing attraction for her captor. But as the mating heat draws other shifters back to the Creek, will she fight for her freedom from captivity, or will she find freedom in his strong arms?

    I began reading this story, told through both Storm's and Gabriella's points of view, and it swept me up and carried me away. I enjoyed this one a lot more than the first book. Storm is a little like his name - he is a force to be reckoned with, but he also is a total a-hole for most of the story. Granted, he has reason to be, though that still doesn't excuse him in my eyes. The insta-love between the main characters is thankfully absent in this story. I could see the hate Gabriella felt for Storm and the resentment of her imprisonment. However, there’s a little bit of Stockholm Syndrome going on as the story progressed, I feel.

    As this is a novella rather than a novel, I think the author did an excellent job in extending the time the characters got to know each other in this book compared to the first book in the series. There is a big fight scene (which I won't go into due to spoilers) that I enjoyed; this is one thing I love about this author's writing - her descriptions of action, particularly fight or battle scenes are extremely exciting. This scene also introduces the reader to Storm and Rath's other two cougar brothers, Flint and Cobalt. I am now looking forward to reading their stories shortly.

    I reached the end of the book in a happier frame of mind than I did with the first story. This book didn't feel as rushed this time, but I still don't know if the author is putting too much pressure on herself to get these books out quickly, or not. I prefer quality over quantity, and this book, although a lot better, is decidedly below her best work even though I still loved it. I hope the other books in the series are less rushed, and I am looking forward to reading the next book soon.

    Felicity Heaton has written another fast-paced, sexy paranormal romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. I love her fast-paced writing style, which flows effortlessly from scene to scene. She is still on top of my favourite author's list.

    I do not recommend this book to younger readers due to the extremely HOT and explicit sexual scenes. However, I highly recommend this book (and series) if you love sexy paranormal romances full of cat shifters and other paranormal species. - Lynn Worton
