    I was immediately drawn into Sierra Hill’s new book “Change of Course” by Kyler's infectious personality and his interest in Lucas, his professor. He is one of my favorite characters and I was so happy to see him have his own happily ever after. His comments about Lucas’s behavior in the bar were funny and made me want to keep reading to see if Lucas would fall for his charms! The part where Lucas first saw Kyler walk into his classroom was perfect and set the stage for a long semester of shy glances and after class help. What jumped out at me right away were all the secrets swirling around their lives. With all the friends they have in common, it would be hard to keep their relationship a secret. Their lives are filled with drama and I can see a big showdown when all the secrets are revealed.
    I like the backstory of Kyler’s life because it showed how he overcame a bad home life to become the smart and confident man he was today. I love the sexy banter between Kyler and Lucas and it definitely brings them closer together. Lucas sensed that Kyler had feelings for him which only complicated their student/teacher relationship, but he found it hard to stay away. Kyler wasn’t sure that spending time with Lucas was a good idea, but you can’t help what your heart is telling you. I hoped that things would work out between them after Lucas admitted that Kyler brought him out of his shell and made his life better. Kyler and Lucas have matured as they got to know each and they always speak from their heart. I can only hope they won’t let outside forces influence their future, because they belong together forever.

    Another fantastic book in this series by Sierra Hill! I loved Lucas and Kyler! The tension between them was FIRE! I love a good student/teacher story because I love the aspect of them having to hide their feelings. Trying to keep away from each other. Not wanting others to discover the feelings they have either. It keeps me on pins and needles the whole time! Lucas was not "out", so when he decided that he needed to come out to his bestfriend (since college) I was feeling the nerves right along with him. For being such complete opposites, Lucas and Kyler had a whole heck of a lot in common. Both of them thinking that they don't need anyone, but needing to connect with someone one level that is more than just physical. To say that my hear burst when they finally decided to actually be together is a HUGE understatement! But then that made the drama that followed that much more heartbreaking!

    This was GREAT way to start off my reading for the year!!!

    An older man (Lucas) hooks up with the smoking hot bartender (Kyler) for an epic one-night stand. Months later, they’re reunited, as professor and student, with all of their chemistry but strict barriers in the form of school policy, Lucas’s desire to remain in the closet, and the added complication of mutual friends in common. Lucas and Kyler go through an epic amount of drama in this novel-- to name just a few, there are secrets, an obnoxious controlling ex, a meddling family member, the lingering complications of an unrequited crush on a straight bff and a random, toxic, predatory female student out who turns vengeful when her advances are rebuffed (of all the romance tropes, the random evil woman with the false accusation of sexual harassment is one of my least favorites, but there’s so much going on in this story that at least it gets a bit lost in the shuffle). Lucas and Kyler never really have a dull moment, and it’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of their relationship. While their physical connection is easy, their emotional bond takes work, and they both make a few mistakes along the way-- Lucas, in particular, has more than his fair share of thoughtless blunders. Ultimately, however, they settle into a happily-ever-after that wraps up their adventures nicely.

    This was my favorite of the series. I have loved Kyler since he made his first appearance. Kyler is Peytons roommate taking over when Brooklyn leaves for a summer nanny job. Lucas is a art professor at the college and Garrett's best friend. Its all six degrees of separation. Lucas and Kyler meet at the bar where Kyler bartends and sparks start flying. Really loved their story and would definitely read it again.

    I wanted to love this book, because it's my favorite trope : teacher/student - but this was exactly what I don't love in a teacher/student book.
    I want to see the characters in that kind of situation, when they are in school and in their own persona as a teacher and as a student. When it's a bit taboo and risky, when you don't know what will happen, will they get caught or not?!
    But not in this book.

    I loved reading the book 'til 45-50%, but after that it got boring and not exciting at all. I lost interest and I just knew how the book will end... spoiler alert, it hasn't ended as I thought it would....it got worse than that! And that is why I gave 3 star, when a gay book got a mostly hetero ending, it just pisses me off. I don't know the author, I think it's the first or second gay book she has written, but sometimes you can just tell if someone is strictly m/f author or can write m/m too. Sorry, m/m isn't for this author. (or she just needs to read more in the genre to get it)

    I got an ARC of the book, and this was my honest review. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but there are things that pisses me off, and sadly, this book's style was one of those.
