    Wow, just wow! I have fallen in love with Ivy and Cillian! From the moment they see each other, it’s love at first sight. Their age difference, and her deception make their relationship a roller coaster ride. But their love for each other always shines through. Her family Dynamics make their life difficult, but Cillian always helps her through it. Can’t wait to see what happens next with this crazy Irish clan.

    I really enjoyed this story—it’s a compelling blend of romance, heartbreak, and second chances. We follow Ivy as she experiences true independence for the first time, stepping out from under the shadow of her controlling father. During a spontaneous night out at a bar, she meets Cillian, and there's an instant, undeniable connection between them.

    Their first night together quickly turns into something deeper, but as Ivy’s secrets begin to surface, their whirlwind romance comes to an abrupt end. Cillian is heartbroken and spirals into a reckless period of heavy drinking.

    Years later, when Ivy returns home to help care for her ailing father, she crosses paths with Cillian again—and all those intense emotions resurface.

    I was completely drawn in by the fast-paced romance and emotional depth of the characters. I appreciated how Cillian gave Ivy the space to grow, even if his approach wasn’t perfect.

    I don't blame Ivy, if a hot Irish man was speaking to me that way, I would of lied also ;)

    After reading FEARLESS and meeting Connor McLoughlin and all of his brothers, I hoped they would get their HEAs at some point, and I am thrilled to see that they finally do. TENDER TEMPTATION is the first book in the CHARMING IRISH SERIES that follows the McLoughlin Brothers. This is Cillian's story.

    Cillian McLoughlin is the CEO of McLoughlin Construction. He works hard during the day, and in the evening, he goes to Kel's, a local pub, to have a couple of beers before heading home. This is where he meets Ivy when she decides to go out and celebrate her birthday for the first time in years. You see, Ivy had a brother who died on her birthday years earlier, and ever since, her family didn't acknowledge the day, so she decided that since her parents were out of the country, she was taking her birthday back and celebrating with a drink. Well, that drink turned into a whole lot more.

    I enjoyed Cillian and Ivy's story. From the moment they met, you can tell they were meant for one another. Their relationship has them in a tiny bubble for most of the summer, and their focus is solely on them until it bursts and all h3ll breaks loose. I guess this is a good time to tell you about some of the c0ntent w@rnings, age gap of fourteen years, she hides the fact that she is the daughter of a billionaire, he has a tiny 1ssue with dr1nking on the daily when they meet, but it gets a whole lot worse after the bubble bursts, there is also v3rbal and 3motional @buse within her family. I am pointing these out because they can be tr1ggering for some readers, and they are not easily found. Kaylene Winter did a great job handling each with care, as I have seen her do in prior books. She doesn't hold back from hitting the c0mplicated 1ssues but does it gracefully.

    This is a second chance at Love, so while we see their relationship for the first time, we also witness what happens after they break up and their glorious reunion. I will admit that there were a couple of times I had to put the book down and walk away for a while because I was getting emotional over it, but that's a credit to the author's writing. She had me feeling as if I was right there watching it all unfold and either loving or h@ting things as they happened.

    I recommend this book to readers who enjoy STEAMY Contemporary Romance, Insta-Love Romance, Age Gap Romance, Hidden Identity Romance, forbidden Romance, Second-Chance Romance, or Large Family Romance.

    Mixed Feelings About This One

    In the first book of the series, Kaylene Winter really dives into the emotional rollercoaster! There were so many ups and downs that I wasn’t sure if I liked the book or hated it from one chapter to the next. We met Ivy and Cillian, and let me tell you, there’s drama everywhere.

    Ivy is young and has a wild side. I’m not sure if it’s brave or just desperate, but she’s clearly got something to prove. After a family tragedy makes her dad super controlling, she jumps at the chance to escape for a bit when he leaves town. With seven weeks of freedom ahead of her, Ivy plans to make the most of it. Her wealthy background adds an interesting twist—she’s not your typical eighteen-year-old and has a bit of an old soul vibe. On her first night out, sporting a fake ID that claims she’s twenty-four, she falls hard for Cillian, a thirty-two-year-old Irish heartthrob she meets at a bar.

    Cillian doesn’t have everything figured out at thirty-two; he’s kind of a player who’s focused more on his business than love. I liked him—he’s a bit rough around the edges but has a sweet side. He’s just as smitten with Ivy as she is with him, and their night takes off from there.

    Now, I wouldn’t call myself a prude, but there’s a scene involving Cillian and Ivy that made me cringe a bit. It led me to skim through some of the other steamy scenes, and there are quite a few! Their instant chemistry was fun at first, but it did start to feel a little repetitive. I found myself more interested in the predictable breakup and reunion that was brewing. Fortunately, the story has enough curveballs to add some angst and keep things interesting.

    The book is well written, and alongside our main characters, there’s a whole cast of friends and family to offer advice and support. While I’m not a huge fan of this particular story, I’m intrigued by Cillian’s brothers and might check out their stories next. "Tender Temptation" can be read as a standalone and has a nice little epilogue to wrap things up.

    Kaylene Winter is a newer author for me, having only read one book from her in the past and y'all.. this was really, really good. Tender Temptation, the first in a new series, all but screamed at me to read it when I skimmed over that blurb and my goodness. What a journey this was for these two, and I totally made the right decision to read this story and meet them.

    Tender Temptation gives us Ivy and Cillian's story and this is not one you want to miss if angsty, forbidden, age gap romances are your thing.. totally my jam! Packed cover to cover with heart, heat, twists, and so so so so many feels.. these two hooked me pretty early on in their journey, and I didn't put this book down until after the pages quit turning.

    This was really good y'all with a cast of characters, and I'll definitely be back around for the next book in the Charming Irish series.

    I can recommend this book.
