Class Act: A Coach/Student Romance Kindle Edition
From USA Today Bestselling Author Gianni Holmes comes a heartfelt, forbidden, teacher-student stand-alone romance.
Abe Cooper is a triple threat.
He's my best friend's father.
He's the football coach at my high school.
And he's a married man.
His marriage is on the rocks and he could lose his job for the way he looks at me.
I could lose my only friend in the world.
I know I should stay away instead of flirt with him.
But all the cons don't outweigh how I feel when I'm with him.
When my home situation gets worse, Abe is there for me. But what we do under his roof when everyone's asleep makes me feel guilty.
Now his daughter, my closest friend, knows he's stepping outside his marriage and she's hellbent to find out who I am.
How long can we keep us a secret and how dare we be happy together when it might hurt the ones we love?
Class Act is a 100k+ stand-alone MM romance between a teacher and a student in senior year of high school. It contains a huge age gap and cheating, but there's no cheating between the MM couple. All characters are 18+.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2025When I title this review with “mixed emotions,” I enjoyed looking back on the reading as a growing affection for the two main characters as I worried about how the story might explode. Emery was someone who had been dealt a horrible family situation, as well as, an obvious challenging day-to-day even at the school. I thought it was interesting that Mandy, Abe’s daughter, has befriended Emery even before Abe enters the story. I suspect that Abe’s character had been reflected in his daughter’s. Knowing how common the prohibition for student/teacher romance is, I worried about their relationship from the outset. Emery’s age placed him in a legal age group, but the teacher-student relationship is often prohibited regardless of the student’s age. Also, Emery’s father is a monster, and you can’t help but want to protect Emery from that dysfunctional relationship. The crisis in the story does truly reveal the depth of love in their relationship, but I really loved the epilogue. You expect a peek into the future of the storyline, but this one was absolutely wonderful. I will sleep better after seeing their future. So, I guess I really loved the story, the characters, and the resolution of the plot. Great read…

Emery is 19, and a senior in high school. He had to repeat his senior year after trouble at his last school. Emery instantly clicked with another senior Mandy, and they were inseparable from the beginning. Emery tries out, and makes the cheerleading team. He’s the first male cheerleader in a long time.
Emery is an androgynous male, and because of the clothes he chooses to wear, he’s constantly ridiculed. Emery ended up getting detention when he got bullied, and fought back. Emery has to do detention with Mandy’s father, who’s also the football coach because Emery disrespected him at school. Emery lives with his father, who’s always been rough, but when Emery came out, really started hurting him.
Mandy asks her parents if Emery can spend the weekend, after a bad fight with his dad, and they agree he can stay over. Emery is sensing attraction from Mandy’s dad Abe, but he doesn’t believe it, because he’s married, and his best friend’s dad.
The more Emery hangs around Abe, the more the attraction become clear. One day they kiss, and it’s then, they both know what they feel is real. They have to sneak around, because Emery is still in school, the same school Abe coaches at, and because Mandy didn’t know….
As things progress, and both Abe and Emery realize what they have is real, and they want to be together for real… there’s just a few things they have to get past first, telling Mandy, and Abe leaving his wife.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2025The first book that I read about this author was Be Mine, Twisted Valentine. So I must admit I really did not expect what I found in the story of Abe and Emery. Yes, the love here is accompanied by cheating, by teacher sexually involved with his high school student, with a boy starting relationship with the father of his best friend. It all sounds very wrong and toxic. But despite all this the MCs were always so sweet and caring to each other, it was nice reminder that such kind of love still actually exist. I loved how devoted were Abe and Emery to each other, how they never doubted each other and were ready to walk through fire to keep their relationship. I fell for Emery since the beginning, so cute and brave boy, if I were Abe, I would never hesitate to do what he did in order to have this love in his life. It was great to be accompanied by these two gorgeous men in the last few days. And I trully admire Gianni Holmes for the ability to write in such different ways but equally impacting the reader.

3.0 out of 5 stars crei que me iba a gustar más

5.0 out of 5 stars A hidden gem!
It was only by chance I came across Class Act and I ate up every page of it!
I have NO IDEA how I haven’t seen this book pop up on my FYP until now because it was absolutely delicious.
Sure, cheating tropes aren’t for everyone but not once did I feel uncomfortable from the angst and I LOVE a daddy/size kink <3

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING
I think this is my favourite book so far by Gianni, I love Emmy so much! He is my new favourite character. I think Mandy’s character was written really well. I love how Abe was never bothered by the way Emery dressed or how he would act.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved
Loved every second of this book.
I thought I would struggle due to the cheating aspect but it didn't affect my love for the mcs at all.
So Glas Emery got his happy ending after everything he went through
