Her first novel, Whistlin’ Dixie, debuted in the top 100 of several book lists and made the tiny town of Grafton, Illinois, a reader’s romantic escape. There are five more books available in the series: Leather and Lace, Something’s Gotta Give, Love, Marriage & Mayhem, Forged in Fire, and Cold as Ice. She also released a companion cookbook featuring the recipes from the series as well as tried and true comfort food from generations past entitled, The Coalson Cookbook of Memories.

In addition to the Tempered Steel series, she is the author of the spinoff paranormal romance series, Legends. The first novel, Legends: Catori, garnered her recognition in the USA Today’s Happily Ever After section of Lifestyles. Legends: Kermode, followed in 2019 and Legends: Piasa is coming in 2021 along with the final book, Legends: Amarok, is coming 2022.

In 2019, Maggie also began releasing her over-forty series, Hell on Heels. The first two books in the series, Minx and Jinxed are widely available. Look for Sphynx, the next book in the series, to be released in Fall of 2022.

Maggie begins the book with some serious heat so be prepared to head for a cold as ice shower as you become immersed in Rebecca and Nick's story. This is a stand alone book but. If you haven't read the Tempered Steel Series, you have been missing out on a great read. Pick up Whistlin' Dixie and enjoy the journey with the 7 hunky Coalson brothers as they meet their heroines while they solve the mystery of who is out to destroy their family business in Grafton, Illinois. This is book six and I can't wait to read the next step in the storyline.

    What a continuation to the series…Nick and Rebecca have an on again/off again relationship and now he needs to rescue her again…he needs her back as in forever....

    Nick and the rest of his brothers are trying to get to Pye and end this feud once and for all but….things keep happening and it’s like there is no end in sight. Will Pye take Rebecca away from Nick for good or will he enlist more help from another unknown (but good guy) to get her back???

    What an intense, suspenseful, tension grabbing, steamy and love filled story to keep you reading and waiting for the next book.

    I started this book not knowing that it was part of the series. To say I was lost was a huge understatement. I had to stop a few chapters in as I had no clue what was going on.

    Read the previous book in this series before attempting this book.

    We go through a cycle of hot, and cold. When we are getting ready to start the cycle again it makes way for new beginnings. Winter turns to spring and things begin to grow. Spring into summer helps everything blossom. Summer into autumn helps the harvest and autumn into winter helps you start anew. Nick can be cold to Rebecca but why? This book was as good as the rest in the series. I enjoyed it.

    Maggie has gone and done it again BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT is what i have to Dadi about Adams latest, where we see the suspense and drama that occurs with the Coalson Men & here it's literally the life or death situation that occurs not only the 😱
    In Cold As Ice we see Nick push Rebecca away after claiming her after he helped rescue her in Forged In Fire, he just didn't think he's good enough for her whilst she knows he is even when he's breaking her heart. And these 2 have different dire consequence whilst Rebecca decides to do her own PI investigation in looking for Pye's book. If you think Lucky's time in Vegas was bad wait and see what happens when Rebecca & Nick are there. Here is where we meet new character Jonas Blackshires, whose there to help them get Pye as he's want him also & happens to help them more than either of them could ever think of.
    Things are pretty drastic here until Nick thinks he's going to loose her to another.
    Really Recommend Maggie's latest as things take turns in different twists and turns and here's hoping things will be turning out for the better for Coalson Family...... 💞

    Cold As Ice was another really good instalment in the Tempered Steel series by Maggie Adams.
    We've followed the misfortunes, ups and downs and happiness of the Coalson family from the first book in the series and CaI (book 6) brings about more twists and turns, danger to the family, new additions and follows a relationship that we first glimpsed in the fifth book, Forged in Fire.

    While I loved the action and suspense in the continuation of the story arc that we've been following and for the most part I really liked Rebecca, I found it really quite difficult to like or engage with Nick's character. Together they set the sheets on fire and though he made some of the right moves and seemed to be into Rebecca, at points I just didn't feel that he was the right guy for her. While reading the story he did grow on me but I just didn't have that same interest as I had for his brothers have in their own stories.

    Action packed, suspenseful, fast paced and hot, this was a great read and I'm looking forward to the next book/instalment to see where things go from here.

    Cold as Ice works as a standalone but, to fully appreciate all that happens in the story, I'd recommend you read the series in it's entirety. 4*
