The last book in the series 😢, oh well it has been a wonderful series that I have thoroughly enjoyed and recommend to everyone who likes romantic suspense.

It was great revisiting with older characters from this author’s Detective Parker Bell series, catching up with what has been happening in their lives like we’re old friends. 😆 Yes, unfortunately Tessa has found herself in more trouble but the mystery is one that has you guessing, like all of this author’s mysteries. I loved how all of the main characters from the entire series were included in this book, what a way to wrap it up.

Oh my, this emotional roller coaster followed some medium loops and dips then wham, down you go with tears rolling along your cheeks from the deep emotional impact. Beautifully written but oh so devastating too. This of course is balanced out well with other lighter moments that were very reassuring, I mean please they characters needed some luck!

As usual, great descriptive language painted each character and scene allowing readers to mentally visualise the story as it progresses. I literally finished feeling very content even though it was the last book.

A fantastic book in a brilliant series.

Well I don’t think I’ve ever read a series that ended like this. Oh yay maybe that one. I don’t know if I’d say it was a satisfying ending but it was certainly crazy and suspenseful never saw any of that coming ending. This whole series has been different which I love. Same old gets boring sometimes. I’m sure this author is gonna come up with something just as great for her next series.

Wow. Ten books have passed, but it's hard to get it into my head that it's over. I feel like I say the same thing in every review, but this book was full of twists and turns, and I enjoyed the ride from beginning to end.

Ten starts with a kidnapping. In the middle of the night, Tessa hears someone break into her house. She manages to make one last call to her most trusted friend, Skylar Wyatt, before she is taken, but Skylar still has no idea where Tessa was taken or who took her. But then, people connected to Tessa start getting murdered, and once again, the detectives find themselves in a race against time to find Tessa and catch the killer.

The plot was great, and there was one huge twist that actually knocked all the air out of my lungs. I'm honestly still reeling from it, and partly in denial. The fact that Jane Blythe is STILL able to surprise me is a testament to how different and original the plot in every book in this series was. I did think that the plot after the big twist was less captivating than before, but that could just be that I'm a sucker for a good whodunnit mystery and waiting for the big reveal.

I've come to love the characters after being with them through thick and thin, and one thing I was most excited to see in this one after reading Nine was how Sophie would recover after her kidnapping. Although she wasn't the main focus of the book, I loved Sophie's scenes in this book most of all, and it was evident how much she had matured after the events of the last book. It was super heart-warming to read about Xavier and Annabelle and Paige, characters I still remember meeting at the very beginning of this ten-book journey.

As always, the writing was great, especially the mystery parts. But Ten, as the last book in the series, needed something that none of its predecessors did: closure. And before reading the book, I was nervous to death about how it would all end. I loved it, and there's something very satisfying about reading about so much tragedy and tension, but still having those domestic, cozy scenes to fall into at the end of the day.

Overall, this was a great series, and even though I've got mixed feelings about it coming to an end, it was an amazing journey, and like I say at the end of every review for this series, I'd highly recommend this for any lovers of mystery, thriller, and suspense—and you always get a little dash of romance!

I have truly enjoyed every word of these ten stories, notwithstanding that they have been scary and showing the dark side of human nature, but they have also shown love and family and how good can triumph over evil when people rise above their fear and speak up. Brilliant series - going to look into some other of Ms Blythe’s stories now.
