    I thought this was a very hot, sexy and intriguing book. The hero and heroine are both strong independent characters, that find themselves drawn to each other very early on. Each of them decides the other is hot, hot, HOT!
    The heroine is in the process of trying to open a very special dude ranch. All the employees at the ranch are working very hard to finish so they can open on time. Unfortunately bad things keep happening. It appears someone does not want the place to open at all! I found myself wondering too, who was the bad guy. Fingers are pointing at just about everyone. And the bad guy... only at the end.
    It's great to watch the romance grow between Wade and Kendra, even with all the misunderstandings and personal fears and prejudices. It's always good to see characters having to grow and change to really come together.

    I had a friend push me to read the story, which I bought in December of 2015, and I can't believe I let so much time go by before reading it. I think I'm now going to have to get the others in the series and give them a go.

    The 5%? You won't catch me nude on a horse in full desert sun, with or without a towel or padded saddle. I'm too old: every year, it gets further to the ground and the ground gets harder. Sunburn isn't a pleasant thought, either. Nor horse or deer fly bites, bee stings, cacti needles.

    The voice of vast experience? "Clothing is basic protective gear around horses." I'm thinking the desert would have similar needs. (Ask any habitual wearer of burnoose or burkha.)

    Kendra used to be a professional poker player and now is about to open her dream business. She and a few misfit employees are working to make a success of Poker Flat Nudist Resort. They have run into so many obstacles that the resort might not even be able to open.
    Wade agrees to work at Poker Flat Nudist Resort only as a favor owed to his best friend. He is trying find out who is causing all the weird problems at the resort. Kendra doesn't know the reason he is there other than to do the job. Oh my, when Kendra and Wade meet there is definitely a sexual attraction between them. Let's, just say when Wade and Kendra are together the room heats up. Will they act on this attraction? How will it effect their working relationship and Wade's investigation?
    Kendra is special in that she can see the potential in other people that society may have given up on. I loved how Kendra and her employees worked together as a team and created their own unique family. This is a fun and steamy romance with a mystery to be solved. FYI, includes mature content.

    This first book in the Poker Flats series by Lexi Post is a great start to the series. You get to meet all the unusual characters working at Poker Flats; but the story is about Kendra Lowe, a former professional poker player and Wade Johnson, one HOT Cowboy who becomes the stable manager. Kendra's dream has always been to open a Nudist Resort which would offer nude horseback riding. Wade takes the job as stable manager but he also has a hidden reason for being there. Sparks fly when Wade meets his "Boss" and Kendra likes what she sees in her new employee. The opening of the resort is drawing closer but a series of mishaps cause problems which might delay things. Is it possible for them to "just" work together and to find out who's trying to stop her from opening. You've got everything in this book to hold your attention: Laughter, mystery, romance & steam. I recommend it to start off a great series to enjoy.
