Robyn Rychards grew up in the granola bowl of the United States, Boulder Colorado, a town filled with fruits, flakes and nuts. She considers herself a Jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none and has taught herself to sew, paint, play the piano, garden, cook, the list goes on. But now that her books are published, she’s thrilled to finally be considered a master of one. At least as much as a person can be, for the learning never really stops.

She feels her active imagination is a blessing and a curse, with the blessing far outweighing the curse since it has led her to fulfil her dream of writing for Harlequin. Robyn started writing stories when she was a teenager because she didn’t have enough books to read. Sometimes she finds it hard to believe that people are willing to pay her to do something she enjoys so much, but mostly she’s happy to have such a wonderful excuse not to cook and clean.     After what looks like a heart attack results in the death of Sage's mentor and friend, Eric, she assumes his position as the Chief Medical Officer on the ship.

    Dace is a police detective who is undercover as a security guard to investigate Eric’s death with only Sage and the Captain knowing the real reason that he is there. Will they be able to find out why Eric was murdered and why before they strike again?

    This story has a perfect combination of romance and suspense and the characters were well developed and had great chemistry. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

    Richards has written a romantic suspense with an interesting trope that should have been explored further in this book. The writing is ok but could benefit from a good editor.

    I do love cruising, so this was a book that called to me and travelling around Mexico places I have not visited fabulous, and this is a fast paced story that brings cruise ship doctor Sage Brady and undercover cop Dace Langdon together in a sensual dangerous game to catch a murderer, but in doing so they catch each other’s hearts.

    Sage has left the busy ER in Chicago for the supposedly quite life as doctor on a cruise ship but when her boss is found dead she is moved into his position as they discover that he was murdered so will all of the stress she left behind return or will she find love with the man that is sent to help?
    Dace has been through a lot as a cop he is struggling at the moment after losing one of his informants and is told by his boss to take a holiday he of course is not happy and he is instead sent undercover on a cruise trying to find a killer but finds love as well.

    Sage and Dace work so well together the sensual pull on their first meeting is hot but with danger at all corners they must be very careful, I really enjoyed getting to know them both, they really deserved to find love and that instant heat between them sparks up the pages, this is one that will keep you turning the pages.

    Cruising With Danger (Louisiana Heat Series) by Robyn Rychards
    Dr. Sage Brady tried to reinvent herself. She has spent time working at the busy Chicago ER and decided to take a job as a doctor on a cruise ship. Then she was given the position of Chief Medical Doctor on the cruise ship. She learned that the previous Doctor had been killed. So she is on high alert.
    Detective Dace Langdon is not fond of his undercover assignment on a cruise ship of being a security guard. But better then the vacation that his boss had suggested.
    Dr. Sage Brady and Detective Dace Langdon were to work together. They are both determined to discover who is a narcotic smuggler on the trip and also who might have killed the previous Chief Medical Doctor.
    Will this connection become more then just working together? It is a wonderful story and 100% held my interest. Robyn Rychards does a wonderful job at writing this story so that you felt you are right there on that ship!

    CRUISING WITH DANGER by Robyn Rychards is a book whose primary two characters are people of honor and intelligence immediately attracted to each other and deeply in love by the end of a short cruise. Sage Brady is a former big city emergency room doctor. Dace Langton is a big city police detective. Both have a job on this cruise because both need a drastic change from the lives they were leading. The former cruise medical director was murdered in his home; Sage is appointed to take his place and help Dace as he looks for information about who the murderer was. The suspense is good and the relationship between these two, although beginning at the deep end rather than being gradual, shows the goodness at the center of their characters. This book and this author are worth the read!

    A book with a good plot and action. Interesting characters with difficult pasts. A crime scene that can sail away. Good reality and background. All together well written and composed book. Easy to read and enjoyable.

    Dr. Sage Brady finds herself the interim Chief Medical Officer on a cruise ship after the previous doctor and mentor passes from a heart attack. However, upon further investigation, it is discovered the doctor was actually murdered.

    Sage is teamed up with Detective Dace Langdon who is working undercover on the ship as a security guard. They pretend to be old acquaintances that have rekindled a romance but soon find themselves not just playing a role. What starts out as a mini vacation (of sorts) for Dace turns into the discovery of murder, drug smuggling, and not knowing who can be trusted.

    If you enjoy a mystery with suspense and of course romance pick up the next part of Ms. Rychards Louisiana heat series. A standalone book in the series has a murder on a cruise ship. Sage is a doctor on the ship and has taken the place of the medical doctor that was murdered. You will find them try to figure out the why's and where's and in the midst find Sage and Dace a security officer that is working on the case, also figure out what to do about the attraction that exists between them. Ms. Rychards gives you a little bit of everything you will enjoy in this book.
