I’m so glad I took a chance on this book, I LOVED every single second of it. It caught my attention from the first page all the way the very end and then after the ending I was just craving more, I NEED to know what will happen with Dean and Tyler. It was an amazing read and this was the first book that I have read from Jaimie and let me just tell you I was not disappointed. This was my kind of book, it has revenge and hot hot sex, plus with passion always passion and great characters. I fell in love with Dean an Tyler right away. If you like hot bad boys and kinky sex with heart then this book is for you but I do mind you that it is a bit twisted and a bit dark.

Tyler loved Dean through out her childhood days and then something happened and he had to go away but she thought he lied when he told that he would come back for her because she has not seen him since, Little did she know that everything was going to come crashing down. She has stranger that watched her follows her and yet she is not scared of him. For whatever reason she feels comfortable with him..

Dean wants to get his revenge he wants to destroy Tyler for what she did to him. He wants her to crave him to be obsessed with him and he succeeded. But things don’t always work out the way he wants them to. He wants to break her but he ends up feeling for her again. Will they survive after everything that has happened? Will they discover the truth and forgive on another?

Dean was the love of Tyler's life but left with his family when she was in high school. He told her he was coming back, but never did, or so she thought. Ian was their other friend and has remained by her side throughout the years. She's always missed Dean and thought of him through the years but never thinks she'll ever see him again.

Tyler knows someone comes in her apartment. Things are moved around and changed daily. She also senses a stalker following her but she feels safe he'll never hurt her. He finally approaches Tyler at night in her bedroom never revealing his face. She's falling for him hard but he's determined to keep his identity secret.

Dean is after revenge. He has planned through the years how to make Tyler suffer for what she did to him and his family. Dean's plan is working until he realizes his feelings for Tyler are as they were when younger. But nothing goes according to plan. Some things aren't what they seem. And secrets exist where you least expect them.

I liked the characters and figured out where this was going early on. I wasn't happy with the ending and couldn't get past the similarities it has with another popular book. I didn't like the ending of that one either and they're so much alike. This book was a four star rating until the last five to ten percent. My review is based on my personal feeling about this book and my thoughts above explain my choice for three stars. The story did keep my invested and I liked the dual POVs.

There are books that disturb you too much you end up giving them a five-star rating becaus you can't believe that the author wrote something so indescribable that you just could not stop reading it.

I've come across a few of those books myself. This book right here is one of those books. I couldn't process everything at once, but the suspense kept me reading on and on until I found that I was already at the last few paragraphs.

I can't believe the suspense in this book. While it mainly concentrated on the deviant relationship between the hero and the heroine, at the back of the reader's mind, he'd be asking himself who's the real antagonist? Who was responsible for the hero hating the heroine so much?

The twists at the end was unbelievable. You may have had a feeling about who it was all along, but the revelation will still get your brain spinning. The ending was actually great. I get that many people were disappointed with how it was ended, but that was how this book was supposed to be - a dark story that is never going to be a fairy tale.

There is a second book, Redemption. I am excited to start reading it tonight. I hope that this book will satisfy more readers. Deviant was not supposed to have a second book. It was supposed to really end the way it ended. However people clamored for more, so I hope the second book will have the closure that I'm sure most of the readers out there are looking for. Personally, even if it never had a second book, I still loved the ending just the way it was.

Jaimie Roberts has successfully written a story that readers will not easily forget. It is a story that's as dark and twisted as the hero, but it is also as hopeful and as unwavering as the heroine. Deviant is truly a book that will bother you and puzzle your mind. This is a testament to just how talented the author is. I know I will always be looking out for her books because she always delivers.

I got this book because it was on a “kindle deal” and I did not expect really much of it. It was not especially well known and did not have many reviews. Ok, the guy on the cover had a real nice six pack I could drool on.
But now I must say it’s one of the best deals I’ve got so far! My head is reeling as it was so good. So now, I’ll work my a** off to advertise this book because it deserves to be read and praised. This is a story to put on the shelf “Books You Wish More people Knew About”.

Fans of “Consequences” by Aleatha Romig, “Raw” by Bella Jewel and “Blood and Roses series” by Callie Hart will really love it.

Dean, Ian and Tyler are three childhood friends. Back and forth the story goes, between childhood memories of Tyler and the present events.

Tyler is a journalist, curvy in the right places and nearing thirty. Ian, her childhood friend has always been there for her. They once drunkenly joked they’ll get married together if always single at thirty. Tyler’s parents encouraged her to seek more than friendship with Ian, their golden boy while they were wary of Dean.
But Tyler’s heart has always belonged to Dean, since that first day he punched a boy who was tormenting her. It was love at first sight. Tyler, six years, felt “all funny in her belly” at the sight of the beautiful blue eyed boy. With her heated cheeks, he called her Rosey and the nickname stuck.

Through Tyler’s memories, we see Dean, two years older being her friend and protector. He waited for Tyler to turn sixteen before their first kiss. He knew he would have a hard time stopping at kissing and wanted to do things properly.
But they did not get the chance to go further as Dean had to disappear with the promise to come back for her. He never did.

Now a woman, Tyler has never forgotten Dean. She’s always wondering where he is, if he is married, has kids… There is always this connection she felt to him that never faded.

As she’s falling for her stalker, Tyler is torn between him and Dean’s memory. Dean has always been her first and only love. She still dreams about him and longs for him. She’d like to have Dean’s tenderness and her stranger’s rough deviance. Little does she know they are one and the same.

Jeremy is sixteen, has been sick for a long time but dreams of kissing Julie, a girl he’s seen at Mac Do. Tyler will be taken by Jeremy and soon enough will visit him daily at the hospital. That part of the story deeply touched my heart as it had a “The Fault in our Stars” vibe. Jeremy has been alone his whole life, put in foster care and always sick. He’s never got friends because “who would want to be friend with someone sick”. He says it does not bother him and puts a brave and strong face for everyone to see but it’s all an act. Tyler will brighten his days and she’ll love him like the brother she never had. She wanted to give him so much because life has not been fair to this wonderful boy. Jeremy really broke my heart and I cried fat ugly tears many time.

Every day, Tyler gets to work and then visit Jeremy. But her nights are free for kinky sex with her stranger. She craves intimacy with him but he’ll always deny it. Dean wants her at his mercy and waiting for the final blow to be delivered. But as the story unfolds, he will get caught up in Tyler. He never really stopped loving her . He is branding her (yes, there is biting an sucking involved Ladies… sigh!), owning her so no one can have her but him. At war with himself, denying his feelings, he is still determined to exact his revenge, even at risk of backlash. But his actions will have dramatic consequences and will not only destroy Tyler but have terrible fallout.

So, to make it short(er) , this book had all ingredients I expect from a really good book.

-Wonderful and well developed characters:
Tyler is strong and yet feminine, can bend but does not break. She so wanted to take care of Jeremy. Dean is all possessive alpha, domineering in bed and mafia prince.
Jeremy was so likeable, I had my heart squeezed each time I got to read about this wonderful boy with a cheeky smile, glint in his eyes but so alone in life. And Ian is…I’ll let you discover by yourself.

-Revenge. Dean was like a spider in its web: waiting, observing and planning for years. He gave blow after blow even if he was left with a bitter aftertaste;

-A heart wrenching side story, warming my soul but leaving me distressed at the same time;

-Hot BDSM sex scenes;

-the right balance between “before” and “now”, between depiction and action. It felt real, I lived the book;

-unexpected ending and betrayal.

Warning, it ends on a cliffhanger much like Raw did. The good news is the second book will be published in just a few days, Friday 3d April. Yessssssssssssssssssss!!!

I've absolutely loved reading this dark sexy romance !! I literally couldn't put it down, I NEEDED to keep reading and page by page I was sucked further into the twisted depths of the story.
I can't believe it's took me this long to get around to reading this and a huge shout out to my book buddy for the recommendation, she knows my penchant for a good dark, gritty, sexily twisted read ;) ......that's exactly what I got here with Deviant!

I love that this is told in a dual POV which for me gave me much more insight into the characters and how they ticked. In all honesty I really disliked the male protagonist up to approx 45% of the story and I really couldn't see how I would warm to him at all yet there was ....."something" ......yes something that seems to call to me about his character. I think I was that surprised at his actions I was in disbelief that he could actually carry out his deeds he professed he intended to do!!! However by the end of the story holy crap I'm converted he's totally flipped my presupposition of him. My head is totally perplexed and my mind all of a quandary over the fact this was such a twisted tale I shouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I have!!!

As a young child Tyler meets Dean and is besotted with him, they have an instant connection. Dean knows he and Tyler belong together and as the years pass he only falls for her more and more however a sudden turn of events when Dean is 18 means he suddenly exits Tyler's life leaving her devastated. Fast forward 13 years later and Tyler is a grown woman with a fast paced career she loves .....plus a stalker that she knows nothing about!!
Tyler still pines for Dean and feels let down he never returned for her, yet the thrill of a faceless man and no strings attached hot sex leads her on a depraved path she had fantasies about. Tyler's perfect man would be the soft loveable Dean and the rough deviant she knows as Lotus......little does she know they are one in the same.
Dean is back and looking for revenge, his target is the one woman that could hurt him the most and she betrayed him in the worst way.

I can't express just how much I enjoyed this story not only for the twisting, mind boggling and gut churning content but for the state of bewilderment its left me in. I always say if a book can leave you in a state of shock or make you raise questions about the story/characters then it's been a damn good book ....and well Deviant has left me just that!!
This is the first book by this author I've read and the ending left me craving more so imagine my smile ten times bigger than the Cheshire Cat when I realised there's a second book of this series *claps hands squealing in delight* ......I know what I'm off to click right now !

The first one more of a dark story, the second one more of a romance. The first one was more rough, the second one more… mushy.
I liked both and read Redemption in one go, however I found few situations a bit naïve, that’s why I haven’t really been swept away by the story.
I must say I don’t care if there are similarities with other book I read (I think there are plenty in romances) as long as I enjoy the story and, in the end, what really matters to me is that there is something in it that makes it worth reading.
