Does Scripture sanction the grounds for “righteous” divorce and remarriage?

The entire subject of divorce and re-marriage is a complex and emotionally charged issue. It is one of the most vexing problems the church faces in these modern days. Throughout church history, Christians have been divided on the issue of divorce and re-marriage. On the one side of the argument, it has been believed that Jesus declared it not a sin to remarry in the case of marital infidelity and the Apostle Paul declared it not a sin to remarry in the case of abandonment. On the other side of the argument, it has been believed that it is adultery to remarry while one’s former spouse is still living.

Why are there two different interpretations of the same Scriptures? Which interpretation is correct and in keeping with the context of Scripture? In this thorough exegesis of all the biblical texts on the issue of divorce and re-marriage, Timothy Klaver once again leads the reader by the hand, allowing the reader to see with their own eyes what the Bible itself has to say on this life-altering issue. This book will be an immensely valuable tool in instructing those who are troubled and struggle with this subject. May we give marriage the same reverence that Scripture gives it: “
Let marriage be held in honor among all” (Heb. 13:4a).

TIMOTHY KLAVER was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. He is a gifted artist, having drawn since the age of four. During High School, he had a desire to get into the field of comic book illustration (and still has a desire to self-publish a three-issue mini-series he wrote back in 1997). After High School, Timothy took a few traditional animation courses through Timothy Slater's Animation School. This came to an abrupt end due to unforeseen circumstances. In 2000, Timothy graduated from the Internet Graphic Design program at Westervelt College with Presidential Honours. He was on the rise as an extraordinary designer, and even ran his own chat room, called Chat-aholics (for those who love to chat; you know, chat addicts), for nearly 10 years. In 2010, Timothy graduated from the Building Trades program at North American Trade Schools. He very much enjoys doing things with his own two hands that give him a sense of accomplishment.

Studying to be a pastor, Timothy graduated from the Biblical and Theological Studies one-year program at New Brunswick Bible Institute (2005). Timothy did not feel the leading of the Holy Spirit to return for two more years, but continued in his daily personal studies, making the Word of God his sole authority, which has led him to where he is today. In 2010, he wrote his first book, THE END TIMES: LETTING THE BIBLE SPEAK FOR ITSELF. Initially, his book was lined up to be published through West Bow Press, a division of Thomas Nelson and Zondervan, but circumstances beyond his control prevented this from happening and it did not get published until 2017. The goal with writing this book (and all his books) was to lay it out in such a manner as to take the reader by the hand and lead him/her, allowing him/her to see for him/herself precisely what the Bible actually has to say in regard to eschatology (the end times).

A prolific writer, Timothy has authored nearly two dozen books covering a full range of topics: THE END TIMES: LETTING THE BIBLE SPEAK FOR ITSELF (2017), ROMANS 7: WHO IS THIS MAN? (2017), DIVORCING DIVORCE (2018), THE CHRISTMAS STORY IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER (2018), THE EASTER STORY IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER (2019), WHAT ABOUT THIS JESUS? (2019), and THE BIBLICAL TRUTH ABOUT TITHING (2020). He is also the general editor of the ABIDE: A READER'S BIBLE series (2020). He has authored hundreds of articles on THE BEREAN'S DESK blog since 2010.

Timothy and his wife, Maria, reside in Ontario with their three children. Follow Timothy on MeWe.

Or are you the kind of NPC loser who likes to spam stranger's pages with your awkward laughing emoji because you don't have the intellectual capacity to actually engage truth? We both know that you laugh awkwardly because you're incapable of arguing the main point and you can't provide a legitimate refutation or a coherent counter-argument to the facts and evidence I have presented. You and your fellow zombies and trolls are void of any logic, reason, or common sense and instead rely on subjective opinions and blind emotions to guide you. Your only course of action is to resort to the typical cognitive dissonance, intellectual dishonesty, and blissful and willful ignorance you hive-mind group-think snowflakes are known for. The only items in your arsenal is the use of fallacious arguments that have no basis in reality, deflection, projection, and ad hominem. In a battle of wits, you tools are unarmed. This kind of spamming crap wasn't even amusing when committed as teenagers. You're a grown adult! Grow up and get a life already! STOP SPAMMING STRANGER'S PAGES!

This author’s writing style proves all but instantly that he paid absolutely zero attention to his elementary school teachers when they indubitably said to focus more on peer to peer connection and communication and especially the importance of quality over quantity, as I referenced above. Furthermore, his pompous vernacular only serves to solidify this point.

Nothing funny, chuckles. You’re a clown and your writing is bloated and trite.
