About the author

Emma is a USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary romances. She was raised in upstate NY. Being an only child, she spent a great deal of time alone dreaming up characters that would keep her company on long family road trips. Putting her writing on the back burner, she went to college and became a chiropractor. After spending 14 years healing patients, Emma decided—with the help of her amazingly supportive husband—to use the creative side of her brain and let her characters come to the page.
If she’s not writing, Emma can be found at the gym, one of her kids sporting events, Starbucks, or at a live music event.
A perfect day for Emma would be spent at her lake house with her husband, two ginger-haired children, and Vizsla, reading a book and drinking a large cup of coffee (or wine) with music playing in the background.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2019Wow I loved the attraction Cam and Kingston had!! The chemistry between these two where off the charts! Must Read!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2019I typically love rock romance but this newest release just doesn't do it for me. Don't get me wrong it had some elements that I look forward to in an enjoyable rock star romance read, a hot rock star, an unexpected meeting with a not so typical girl, and the heat level with a sizzling attraction. However, it might be the pace of the character meeting, than falling (with other elements that I don't want to get into just in case I spoil it for others) that I had a hard time connecting with or something else. This was my first read by the author and it was just a 3.5 stars, but I do like her writing style so I’ll see what else she has written.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2019Kingston is not your typical rockstar, but he does make some crazy choices. He's with his therapist and in deep only to find out she's not, gets himself into lots of trouble and this man is also taking care of his sister.
Fear of needles but willing to do what he can for her, he meets a nurse, Cam aka Camilla, is about to show his heart no mercy. She doesn't fully know what she's signing up for but neither can deny the attraction.
Loved this story. He might be famous but you feel like know him and Cam has a heart of gold that brings the real King not public image of him to light.
I laughed with them, loved them and at times almost shed some tears. Penny and the rest of the crew are incredible back up.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2019This was an okay read, romantic and sweet in some places, sexy in others, but it was a little hard for me personally to get over the ick factor of the relationship the H is in at the beginning of the book and how he continues to feel about her for awhile into the book. It's not the kink, it's the profession. 'nuf said. Also, I thought the H and the h get together VERY fast, no spoilers.
This sticks in my mind because it is a little different and his relationship with the OW haunts me because I found it disturbing.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2020I really enjoyed reading this story, first time reading this author and I was not disappointed in anyway. All the characters were great both main and supporting also I thought it was very well written and I did love the drama 😊 what's a good story without ex lovers drama 😊. Anyway this is a really good read you won't be disappointed. Oh I did want uncle Richie to be confirmed father.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2019Kingston's a rock star. He's just coming out of a toxic relationship with his therapist when he meets Cam. Cam's a nurse, a normal woman who's divorced from her cheating ex-husband, and not at all star struck about who Kingston is. They have immediate chemistry, and he's totally smitten with her, so they decide to try to have some semblance of a normal relationship. She's so approachable, making immediate friends out his his bandmate's wife Syd, and his sister Dee. His ex-girlfriend/therapist shows up when he's on tour, intent on winning him back, causing whatever drama required to get her way.
I've only ever read hockey romances from this author, so I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. I gotta say that she did a spectacular job with this story. The characters seem to be complete opposites, but in fact, they're after the same type of relationship; it just takes them a little while to get to their happy place.

Bad boy rock star with a past that will not be ignored.
Beautiful nurse with the heart of gold pure as the snow.
He is trouble incarnate and he found his next conquest. Only it is not easy for him this time she sees right through his act. But as soon as things get serious they get complicated.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2018Not what I expected. Not at all. But that is in the most positive way. This story surprised me. I liked it a lot. Well written with a nice storyline and plot. I like that the characters and how they develop.
A passionate and emotional read with twists. Enjoyable and recommendable. Hot scenes and great passion.
It is sometimes a dark story but that only gives more to it. Very captivating because of the writing style and use of words.
Kingston has a past that haunts him down. It is troubled but he has to come through it and let it be the past. Cam is the opposite of woman he usually meets. She is sweet, innocent and likes him for who he is and not for what he is.
It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. The epilogue is very welcomed and gives the story more to it and it finishes it better of than without it.
There are passion, hot scenes and lots of chemistry in this amazing story. A true and complete HEA.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Rock Story.
Kingston is a rockstar he has to see a therapist or he’s going to be kicked out of the band so he does he see’s Helena and they have been having an affair for a year, Kingston goes out with his bandmate Davies to a restaurant where he see’s Helena sitting at a table with a man who is kissing her fingers and that’s when he notices it a wedding ring on her finger. Kingston storms out and Helena follows him out she tells him that it’s none of his business then she goes back inside to her husband, Kingston doesn’t know how to feel about this but now he knows why Helena hasn’t said anything about taking their relationship a step further after why would she when she can have them both. But the next day Kingston goes to see her she is his choice of drug he got rid of one addiction and now she is his new one but he tells himself that this is the last time and when Kingston leaves she threatens to tell his manager that he’s not complying she always tells him that but now he needs to get a new shrink because he’s had enough. Kingston has to go to the hospital he’s donating his bone marrow to his sister Pasadena he has to get a needle everyday for 5 days so they can collect his stem cells and Kingston is petrified of needles but when he meets Cam the nurse she calms him and when she gives him the needle in his butt he doesn’t feel a thing. When Kingston leaves Cam’s friend Penny the receptionist says that she wants to hear everything but Cam doesn’t know what she’s talking about until Penny tells her that it was Kingston Lawless a rock god but Cam didn’t know so when she got home she looked him up yep he’s definitely a bad boy he’s no good for a good girl like her. I loved this story but I didn’t like Kingston’s selfish shrink Helena at all she was such a b*tch, fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
I bought a copy of this book ages ago and I’ve only just read it and that is such a shame it’s a 5 plus ⭐️ read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and quick read
Very quick read. Heartwarming and endearing.
All the characters have their roles, which are predictable. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and it was a bonus that there weren’t drawn out soap scenes. Things moved at pace as one would expect in a shortish book.
At times the author teased the reader by drawing out the suspense by spending longer describing actions leading up to a significant reveal. But, you can skip over those or indulge depending on your preference.
