Two broken hearts find love and healing in each other in this sexy contemporary romance spin-off from the New York Times bestselling author of the Rock Chick and Dream Man series.

Evan "Evie" Gardiner has spent her whole life being the responsible one in her family, but enough is enough. It's time to pursue her own dreams. Evie's finally going to finish that engineering degree she's been working toward. But first she needs to come up with the money to pay for tuition. Working as a dancer at Smithie's club seems like the perfect solution to her problems . . . until her family lands in yet another scrape and comes to Evie for help. Only, this time, her family's recklessness is risking more than her dreams-it's endangering her life.

Daniel "Mag" Magnusson knows a thing or two about desperation and disappointment, but no one notices that his good looks and quick wit hide the painful memories that haunt him. When Evie's family puts her in danger, Mag insists on offering Evie his protection. He has the skills to guard Evie's life, but as they grow closer, Mag realizes he'll need to come face-to-face with his demons to prove himself as the man who will protect her heart.

Dream Maker is officially a new favorite!
Dream Maker is everything about Kristen Ashley that I love. It's had an amazing Rock Chick feel happening with some Dream Man mixed in and I couldn’t get enough. It was entertaining, sexy, and flirty! I loved the depth, development, and fun dialogue. It was an outstanding story and a fantastic start to a new series. Evie and Danny were exceptional. Her awkward and quirky mixed with his alpha was perfection. There was great character development and I loved seeing them grow as I got to know them. Evie was wonderful! I felt for her and loved how hard she worked to make her life better. Danny was the best, so sweet, caring, and protective. There were just a lot of really tremendous standout moments between them that I loved and had me cheering. I felt for them and was rooting for them. I could feel the anguish and pain, love, and heat. It was all excellent! This is the first in a series and I am beyond excited for what's to come. I loved meeting all of Danny and Evie’s friends and I’m thrilled with the pairings. I thought that fantastic groundwork has been laid for future books. I also LOVED seeing some of my favorite characters from other series, I was pretty much smiling my entire way through because of all the different connections. I also really enjoyed new characters that were introduced that brought some really great moments into the story. I loved the details and descriptions, painting a vibrant picture. For me, it’s those details that make the story fuller and richer, pulling me in and making me a part of the world. When I started this, I had the same feeling I did when I read my very first Rock Chick book, it was thrilling. This story had an awesome, fun vibe that had me smiling and laughing my way through. There's a nice amount of emotion and heat, and of course, there's drama and a nice element of suspense that was exciting, it was just super entertaining. I thought this was brilliant! I had that I can't read fast enough and I don't want it to end mindset happening. It had me excited the entire time. Dream Maker is officially a new favorite! 𝔻𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕞 𝕄𝕒𝕜𝕖𝕣 by Kristen Ashley is a stand-alone novel that is the first in the 𝔻𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕞 𝕋𝕖𝕒𝕞 𝕊𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕤 which is a spinoff of the Dream Man and Rock Chick series. The Dream Team is an all-new set of young women that meet their own alpha commando heroes, get into trouble along the way and find their HEAs.

What I love about the Dream Team Series the most is the positive portrayal on strippers. It’s 2021 and strippers are people too and am glad this book normalizes that. One should not be ashamed of their profession. I loved that this novel captured the essence of female strength and having a strong group of girl friends in your life.

Lottie from book .05 Quiet Man, apparently loves to play matchmaker with her friends and her man Mo and her girls. Her girls that are a group of strippers who work at Smithies, the town’s local strip club. Lottie sets up Evie and Daniel "Mag" Magnusson on a blind date. The story is told in both first and third POV.

Evie is a tech nerd and Mag finds her completely adorable at first sight. Evie lacks confidence, is a complete klutz and loves Mag’s super rough commando exterior. In true Kristen Ashley fashion, our heroine is somehow put in the middle of a dangerous situation and the hero, Mag has to be her savior.

Mag sees Evie for the beautiful, smart, and wonderful person she is. He notices that her family is taking advantage of her and puts a stop to it ASAP.

Mag steps in when Evie’s family puts her in extreme peril. This is the dream situation as someone who has a similar brother as Evie’s no good, junkie, criminal brother. To have your strong man step in like that is life goals. It was so touching to read about all of the ways Mag was there for Evie. They are truly a perfect pair.

I love that Kristen Ashley novels capture those small moments in a relationship and really stays there and revels in those moments. In order to tell a story and move along, those small details are often missed or skipped over by other authors whereas, KA doesn’t do this. I think one of the reasons we love her books is because it’s in those small moments with just you and that guy you like when you’re first dating, and he does something magnificent or noticing that he’s done something nice for you that no other man has. Those moments are what KA captures.

KA’s book normally also provide complete telling of the story as well as justice for wrong doings and all confrontations complete. Nothing is left untold. I ADORE that about her writing.

On to the next book in the series! She teased the next book with Ryn and Boone and I am totally hooked!

Dream Maker was a fantastically penned romance that had all the ingredients of a fun, old-school Kristen Ashley novel, made even better by the bevy of guest appearances by prior series' characters. The love story was beautifully explored, the characters had depth and history, and every nuance of emotion—from friendship to family to love—was poignantly written to showcase every piece of this story to the best it could've been. This had all the feel-good vibes of a rom-com mixed with the impending danger of a suspense novel, something only Ashley can combine fluently, and I was engrossed from the moment it opened up.

Ashley explored the psychology and history of Evie's character so well that it was impossible not to find a piece of yourself in her and to feel the pain of her struggles. But she was characterized in a way that you never pitied her, and instead saw how incredibly resilient and strong she was to continue fighting for something that never fought for her back. The beauty only brightened when Mag could see what had shaped her and who she was beneath the weight of her life, and wanted to be something to her even despite his own battles. Together they were instinctual, a tension-filled ball of desire and emotion just waiting to consume them both, but written to be a slow reveal that readers could really sink in to and relax in for the breadth of the story. And to see this big group of people immediately see her as worthy of fighting for, my heart exploded with a warmth that I can still feel days after finishing.

Dream Maker was an absolutely brilliant novel that felt like falling back in time to the Rock Chick days, finding myself literally laughing out loud because of the perfectly timed humor while simultaneously being carried away by the swirl of the romance and action. Something this author writes incredibly well is sisterhood, and she does not fail replicating that here—not just with old crews but with a brand new group of girls I cannot wait to see grow with one another. The most difficult thing with a KA series opener is seeing the road map for relationships to come and suffering through the long, long wait to get each of them—and honestly, that's not even a downside because I enjoy the desperation of waiting for each story to reveal itself knowing it'll be so, so worth it.

New spin off to Rick Chick series with strippers from Smithies. Evan ‘Evie’ is a very nerdy awkward stripper but has a massive heart.
When her brother is arrested and he asks her to look after a bag think get complicated when it goes missing and really bad people are looking for it. Daniel’Mag’ is her bodyguard but that make thing really awkward because they had a terrible date a few night previously.
I love this new spin off. Has a similar feel like rock chicks but has it’s own feel too. Absolutely love Kristen Ashley is the queen of badass main female characters but also has fantastic support characters they you absolutely love.
