    I received an ARC of book 2 in this series from a blogger, so I thought I should pick up book 1 to start at the beginning. I am a lover of baseball first and football second. I have no love for any other sports, and even less when it comes to cars. If you couldn’t care less about sports, PLEASE do not let that hinder your decision to read a romance book that involves sports. There are so many good ones out there, and this is definitely one of them. Shelby is a smart, sexy, young woman with plans for her life. Griffin is a cocky, sexy, drift driver who only wants to win. They have an instant dislike for each other when Griff finds Shelby posing on top of his beloved car, but that certainly changes over time. The main characters in this story aren’t the only reason this book is as good as it is. The secondary characters are just as important, and I hope they all get their own books. This story brings all the elements in – brains, brawn, beauty, loyalty, adventure, and second chances. I can’t wait to get to book 2.

    Adrian writes great characters! That’s not to say you’ll <like> all of them 😂 but they come across as real, fully developed people. Shelby is a racer’s daughter turned race shop manager turned shop model. She’s an aspiring driver herself but not sure how to reach for her dream.

    Griffin is a hot, grumpy, jerk of a driver. 🤣 It’s a real compliment to Adrian’s storytelling that she is able to redeem him! But here’s the thing - Shelby & Griffin are perfect for each other - not in spite of their flaws but because of them!

    I actually gasped out loud in delight while reading the last chapter. Not often does that happens for me! I really enjoyed Drift Heat, despite nothing literally nothing about drift racing. 🏎💨

    "Drift Heat" is an amazing book. This past year I had gotten into watching drifting because of my two best friends (one of them is my boyfriend) and I had fell in love with watching the sport and fell in love reading this book. This book had me laughing, being frustrated, and crying. Overall, this is written by an amazing author.

    Wow!! I was blown away by Adrian's first book....and she continues to do so in this second book!
    After Shelby and Griffen's first meeting you could tell the heat and chemistry would be off the wall between them. And yup...I was right! Whoa the heat was like the asphalt after a burnout! When I wasnt wanting to punch Griff and possibly yell at him, I was cheering him on. Shelby was bad ass! For going after what she wanted and not stopping at getting it. Serious girl crushing!! And the detail of the racing was amazing! I felt like I was physically in the stands watching it live!
    I can't wait for whatever is next!!

    Although Adrian is a new author she has a knack for describing things in perfect detail. Before reading this book I couldn't tell you a thing about cars. I love that Adrian brought these characters to life in a way that even of tou can't relate you do!! I can't wait for Wyatt's book!!
