Once again, Jane Stain nailed it. I throughly enjoyed Baltair and Ellie’s story. Having read every book up to this point, it is nice to learn what is happening with characters from other stories, though you would not have to have read them to enjoy this book. It is fun trying to read Scots. Jane has a great way of writing. I look forward to the next book.

Baltair: A Time Travel Romance (Dunskey Castle Book 12), my fifteenth read from author Jane Stain, an author I've wanted to read since I began acquiring her books back in 2017 and finally got around to in the last couple of months. I got this book back in August of this year & am just now getting around to reading it as I've committed to reading the Dunsky Castle series in its entirety. I look forward to the next book from her, Baltair: Time of the Fae (Dunskey Castle Book 13). Each book is a complete story woven into a Highlander romance epic. What really gets me going is narrator Andrew McDermott, I love his Irish brogue, it adds to the enjoyment of the tale. “I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Nadia and Ellie are friends and clerks at the Celtic University continuing the time travel to Scotland of the very early 1700s. They have met Ciaran, who Nadia has married, and are searching for the cure to the curse he has fallen under caused by the halberd controlled by the Druid Child. Baltair and Eoin have come to return them to 1706 with English copies of a 'fantasy' book originally written in Gaelic telling about the clan war they are about to fight, with tales of the Druid, the Fae, and the heroism of Ciaran. Lots of action, including the construction of a catapult, along with the love story of Ellie and Baltair as they converse in the old language. Kelsey, one of the original girlfriends of the MacGregors, a graduate of Celtic University and married to Tavish, is now under suspicion. I am looking forward to the three books that will eventually conclude this series.

I truly enjoyed reading this book. At times I felt like I should have read other book/books in the series first based upon comments or references. It wasn't critical but would have been nice to have the complete story and history of everyone. It definetly made me want to read more of the series.

I stopped at 20 percent. I could not get interested in it. I like time travel stories. This one, I found boring.
