The Elven King’s Forever (Fated Elves Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 140 ratings

Can two enemies work together to save the one person they both love?

After all this time, Dustin’s transformation is nearly complete, and his happy ending is so close he can almost see it. His wedding is fast approaching, and he’s about to start school. He has his future, his lover, and his friends, and he at last believes that he can truly have it all.

Meanwhile, their old nemesis lurks in the shadows, ready to destroy any happiness Casersis might have. They knew Bradley is dangerous, but no one is prepared when he makes his move and kidnaps Dustin.

In order to rescue Dustin, Casersis must work with his old adversary, Erastus. They both love the almost-elf in very different ways, and if they can’t set aside thousands of years of hate, it’s Dustin who will pay the ultimate price.

This 74,000-word non-shifter omegaverse novel is set in a world where mpreg (male pregnancy) is a fact of life. However, this series does not end with a baby or pregnancy.

Tags: Omegaverse, non-mpreg, non-shifter, younger alpha, older omega, the end is nigh!, still so much age gap, it matters less now, all the schmoop!, wedding planning, university prep, Erastus is a good pup and Dustin likes him, Casersis is not a happy camper, kidnapped!, bad guys!, rescue mission!, Casersis sucks lemons because he has to work with Erastus, Stacy is awesome, I think Casersis and Erastus both want to adopt her, soulbonding, fated mates, mages, magic, the loveable idiots might actually get their HEA.

Can't say enough incredible things about this finale and the series as a whole. Breathtaking world building, complex beautifully flawed characters that have become family! What a beautiful jury this has been!

I had a hard time getting into this series but once I made it through the first book I read the next two in one sitting. I was so excited after the 3rd book to find out what the conclusion would be.
While I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm disappointed, this 4th book was nowhere near the quality of the last one. This book was quite a bit more disjointed in that it read like the author maybe took a while to write it and maybe forgot exactly where she wanted it to go. It did not flow as well from chapter to chapter as the last book either, which left you guessing on what exactly the pacing of the book was supposed to be.
Add to this, one ending to a chapter being completely forgotten in the next and this last book could definitely use a re-edit. It has good bones and has the potential to be a good ending but as it is now it just falls short.

A fantastic ending to this series. I was hooked at book one and each subsequent books just pulled me deeper and deeper in to this fantastical world. This is so not a standalone and I strongly recommend reading the previous books first, I was glad to see these wonderful characters get their happy ending.

First, the very beginning. Dustin was supposed to meet with his therapist but instead goes on a date with Cas. The therapist is never mentioned or contacted. It is as if he never had a conversation with him.
Second, after Dustin goes shopping he then goes to find Cas. Cas is supposedly working and Dustin then pulls him away to have sex. But when it switches perspective Cas is still with the wedding planner. Dustin then gets home before Cas, so he never went to find him. Then they have a long conversation and no sex.
Third, the whole kidnapping scene seemed thrown together. Dustin didn't even comment on his missing detail. Then after lunch he all of a sudden seemed worried and happened upon a random person to help. This whole scene between Dustin and Stacy seemed put there so she would have a reason to be at the house and help tract him down.
Fourth, the wedding is supposed to be on August first but the time line for the book would put it in June or July. The Author states that the wedding is six months after the incident which would have taken place on January 28th since it was three days after the school year stared on the 25th. So six months later is only the end of June beginning of July.
Also, Stacy seemed to go from stranger to beloved family member way to fast. Who moves a virtual stranger into their home after one day? It would have been better if they had gotten to know her over the months leading up to the wedding.

Loved it!! This was a fantastic ending to the series although I’m sad that it’s over. I’ve loved this whole series since the beginning. Casersis and Dustin have grown so much! I loved how Casersis and Erastus work together to save Dustin, sooo freakin good. In the end there is a beautiful wedding and unbreakable bond between the MC’s. The story was really well written, highly recommend!!! I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My review is solely based on my thoughts and opinions.

I have to say that I was surprised that Casersis didn’t invite his son, from the Summerlands, at any point in this series, to visit him. That seemed to be entirely in keeping with his character, and to not have even had a hint of it seemed odd. I also find it odd that Casersis never once asked Kaudien about why he help Erastus so long ago, and where he got the items that he gave Erastus. Again, this doesn’t seem to be quite in character for him.

Dustin was great through this, and I did feel that he was fully within his character throughout. I loved that he had no patience for Bradley and wasn’t willing to even pretend. Though I have to wonder how he managed to manipulate so many people into making such stupid decisions.

Loved it! I loved the whole series from the first book to the last watching Casersis and Dustin grow into the couple they have become and even with the drama in their lives they still love and charish each other enough to marry and add to their found family. Fast reading well written with enough going on in the main characters lives to make a page turning enjoyable book series from the first page to the very last one.

I fell in love with the banished elven king and his mate! As the series started off so spectacular and exciting it ended the same way! I never thought I'd see the changes in Cas that I did by the end of this series but I was so pleasantly surprised by him. I would definitely recommend this series to be ready!
