    Enjoyable story. The focus is primarily on werewolves, but a few supporting characters are vampires, too. It's based on the premise of fated mates (which I really enjoy). What makes this story stand out is all of the other stuff going on. There are a bunch of different story lines woven together, and that kept it interesting. If I had to pick one thing I wasn't too crazy about, it would be that the hero's progression didn't seem natural, but rather forced and sudden. This was the first book I read in the series. It stood well on its own, but I think I would have gotten more out of it if I'd read the ones that came first.

    This is part of the "Enduring Kiss" series and is really good and entertaining. I love how he story incorporates a different heroine and different supernatural Alpha. I would recommend the entire series and read them in order to really make it work. Each main characters in the stories are different from the previous ones which makes for interesting dynamics but still keeping the stories congruent and fluid.

    Sarah and Sean's story is a truly fabulous one. I purchased and started this book last evening and finished it this morning. The story drew me in and kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what was going to happen next. At one point I even almost got out of bed in the middle of the night to finish reading it, the pull of the book was that intense. Love the vampire and wolf combination! I haven't read any of the other books in the series but I can tell you I will be buying them asap!

    I read this wonderful book in one sitting, not knowing at first, that it was a new release in a series (Enduring Kiss Series). It didn't matter. I also didn't realize it was a paranormal read. It didn't matter. The book grabbed me from the get-go and held me to the very end. There was no confusion or feeling lost in the story at any time, even though other characters weaved in and out of the story. This book makes its own mark. If anything, it compels you to read the other books in the series.

    Embraced has all the making of a true, erotic love story; the beautiful, strong, yet conflicted Sarah, and mysterious, hot, and emotionally torn Sean, pull you into their world of visceral and primal attraction, of family (pack) loyalty and protection, of pain and betrayal. They both have secrets...after one steamy night together, those secrets must separate them. Yet they find that they share a secret that out of necessity, must bring them back together.

    The author's writing is exquisite, accomplishing something very rare; writing in first person point of view for both main characters, doing it beautifully, and giving the reader an opportunity to know the inner thoughts and feelings of both characters. I knew it could be done. I've read a few books by famous authors that have done it well, but never dreamed I would see it in this book. This ability shows the true talent and skill of this author. The writing is rich with detail, and the characters are strong. The dialogue is effortless and spot on. I don't dislike paranormal by any means, but sometimes I find that that aspect overpowers the story. Not in this book! The plot, story and characters are so well written that the paranormal aspect is a small detail, adding spice and flavor to the mix.

    I haven't read the other books in this series...an oversight I will soon remedy. This was a fantastic read, and I have become an instant fan of this author. I highly recommend this book as a stand alone novel, but suggest you do like me...buy and read the series.

    I enjoyed this story very much. It has a little of every thing. I thought it had all the right elements of a good story.

    Sean was broken hearted but it didn't last long when he met Sarah.

    There is deceit, lies, death, hate, love and of mating.

    I recommend this book and give it a solid 4 stars

    I do believe this is the first story I have read of C.E. Black. She truly is a wonderful author. I truly loved this story.

    Sean was a werewolf that was hurting. A woman that he thought he was in love with was getting mated to her fated mate. It was truly hard for him to let go but knew he had to. He would of never dreamed that the “Human” he met at the bar would change his life forever.

    You have to love Sarah. Though she is a girl that does not have one night stands she has a very strong sex drive when it comes to Sean. He is just to hard to resist. She has some secrets that are important for Sean to know. It could change everything for him.

    Sarah in this story will face a lot. She will face love and also betrayal in the worst way. Your heart will truly break for her. Sean will also face a lot in this book. He will face loss, hurt, anger, love, and renewed hope.

    Both will learn what it is like for family aka pack to stand behind them. They will learn how much their bond really means. This was truly a great story and glad I got a chance to read it.
