About the authors
Richard A Shury studied literature at Otago University, and recently returned to New Zealand after haunting London for many years. He is looking forward to travelling again. His story Chiaroscuro was read at Liars' League, while his flash piece The Dog House made the Bridport Prize shortlist in 2020. His piece, The Day I Didn’t Die, was published on the Drabble, and he has had several short stories (Ricky’s Journey, Gamer, and The Formula) published in anthologies. Call him a part-time optimist. Tom Barlow is an Ohio writer. He writes crime, speculative and literary fiction. He has published over 100 short stories and five novels. "Mickey Magic" is an urban fantasy, "Everything is Inevitable" a cozy mystery, "I'll Meet You Yesterday" science fiction, "Bringing Knickerbocker Home" a family drama, and "Blood of the Poppy" a noir crime story. His literary short stories are collected in "Welcome to the Goat Rodeo" and "Odds of Survival" features noir crime fiction.
He writes because conversation involves a lot of give and take, and he's always thought of himself as more of a giver.
Thomas Gondolfi, father of three, gamer and loving husband, claims to be a Renaissance man and certified flirt. Raised as a military brat, he spend the first twenty years of his life moving to a new place every few years giving him a unique perspective on most regions of the United states.
Educated as an electrical engineer from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and working in high tech for over twenty years, Tom has also worked as a cook, most phases of home construction, and even as the personal caregiver to a quadriplegic. Tom enjoys games and after nearly thirty years he can still be found most weekends playing some role playing variation, board game and/or Texas hold-em.
Tom Gondolfi has been writing fiction for over twenty-five years and doing it professionally for at least fifteen. Most of his short stories have been commissioned for use in gaming products, such as Babylon 5 Wars and Starfleet Battles. He has honed his abilities through writing well over a million words and having them independently critiqued. He has been a member of and chaired several different “destructive” critique groups.
“Toy Wars,” Tom’s first commercially viable novel, was completed fifteen years ago with a recent polish prior to publication this year. “A marriage, a move, a new job, a new home and three teens – life just got in the way of publishing my work,” he said of the delay.
“An Eighty Percent Solution” is the premiere novel of the CorpGov Chronicles. Tom is already writing book two, “Thinking Outside the Box,” and book three, “Paradigm Shift,” with a total of nine books already plotted out for the series.
In 2012, Tom started his transition out of the high tech jungle by founding TANSTAAFL Press to bring his works and those of other prolific science fiction authors to market. TANSTAAFL Press has three offerings at this time – “Toy Wars” and “An Eighty Percent Solution”, both by Thomas Gondolfi; and “Demon Holiday” by Bruce Graw. TANSTAAFL Press has one book planned for release in fall of 2013, and three more for release in 2014.
I have been writing since 2013 with nine novels and more than a dozen published short stories out so far. Some of my books were published as Madison Keller before I changed my name in Ian.
I love table top gaming. Currently I'm playing a very flamboyant bard who also owns a tailor shop, because in real life I love making fancy costumes and plush animals.

Tim W. Burke grew up within a mile of the most notorious U.S. prisons. His humor has appeared in major U.S. newspapers and on U.S. broadcast television. His horror has appeared in "Weird Tales" and "Space and Time" magazines and in several anthologies.
"In THE FLESH SUTRA Tim W. Burke has charted a diabolical, metaphysical odyssey for his main characters, a journey that will take you through Death itself... and back out the other side."
-- Shawn Garrett, Pseudopod
“In this excellent novel, the writing is crisp, the characters sharply drawn, the plot engrossing; as a result, this tightly written and propulsive narrative addresses postmodern angst about humanity and spirituality in the context of body horror and psychosexual transcendence with literary flair and at times deeply disturbing imagery.”
-- Jason V Brock
“Seeds of body horror and jealousy, avarice and desperation all wrapped in fin de siecle city life and the trappings of the Spiritualist movement. This is a beautiful, precision time piece of unease and tension and Tim winds it all the way up, smiling at you as he does so.”
-- Alasdair Stuart, Host of www.pseudopod.org, the weekly horror fiction podcast
David is a practicing physician who lives to write instead of writing to live. He is a split class writer/academic surgeon with several cat-familiars and a wife. He tries to follow Monty Python's advice by always looking on the bright side of life, but has only needed to be rescued by the Judean Peoples Front on rare occasions. His website can be found at: https://davidmhoenig.wordpress.com/about/
He's working on his first novel, which is close to completion of the latest revision, and is about halfway through his next.
Davyne is the author of the PHANTOM RISING Series – a trio of historical romances which continue the saga of the Phantom of the Opera – as well as a paranormal romance, LOVE WHISPERS THROUGH THE VEIL, a science fiction novel, CARAPACE, and an anthology of speculative fiction short stories, SOAP BUBBLE DREAMS AND OTHER DISTORTIONS.
Davyne’s writing focuses on strong characterization, a sense of adventure, and emotional impact, reflecting her own passionate view on life. She draws from positive experiences in her life (going on safari, being in a television commercial, becoming a lifeguard) and more painful ones (being kidnapped as a child at knife-point [promptly rescued by Dad!], breaking her arms falling 60 feet off a cliff, breaking her neck at the senior prom) to realistically craft her characters, both good and evil.
Davyne grew up traveling the world with her diplomat parents, and has lived in Germany, Bolivia, Somalia, Afghanistan, Japan, and Korea. After several academic and career choices (including computer programming and fine art photography!), she finally settled into the law and was an attorney for over twenty years, although writing has always been her first true love.
The list of things she loves is long and includes her family (she survived having five teenagers at one time!), Christmas, cooking, laughing, being an introvert (despite her propensity to arm-waving when excited about a topic), intriguing mouths, sneezing and – of course – reading. Her list of dislikes is relatively small: bigots, hypocrites and mean people. Oh, and lima beans.
She lives with her husband in their Colorado home and in Mexico.

When not practicing or teaching Kung Fu or Tai Chi, T. M. is reading or watching horror, thrillers, or sci-fi movies.
B-movies? The cheesier the better. Classics? The butler did it. But it was his twin taking his place you saw for two minutes, in shadows, at the beginning with the pair of scissors shown for two seconds in the middle of the movie. See?
T. M. prefers writing in the horror, science fiction, post-apocalyptic and, occasionally, romance genre.
T. M.’s favorite authors include Clive Barker, Patricia Briggs, Dean Koontz, and Edgar Rice Burroughs.
Lisa Timpf spent her early years living next to a farm on the outskirts of Simcoe, Ontario. Though the family moved into town when Timpf was nine years old, this early experience sparked a life-long interest in nature, especially birds and butterflies.
Timpf received a Bachelor of Physical Education degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, then went on to study Sport History at the Master's level at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. During that time, she worked part-time as a sports writer at the Halifax Daily News.
After returning to her home province of Ontario, Timpf secured a job at Honda of Canada Mfg. in Alliston, Ontario, where she worked in a variety of roles including Human Resources and Communications, before retiring in February of 2014.
Timpf's writing credits include several columns written for the Creemore Echo, in an independent newspaper in Creemore, Ontario, as well as appearances in six Chicken Soup for the Soul anthologies, and pieces written for Small Farm Canada. She has also self-published a collection of creative non-fiction and poetry entitled A Trail that Twines: Reflections on Life and Nature, and a non-fiction book, St. George's Lawn Tennis Club: The First Hundred Years.
Star Trek (The Original Series) and authors such as Robert A. Heinlein and Andre Norton sparked an interest in science fiction in Timpf's teenage years. After her retirement, Timpf tried her hand at writing sci-fi short stories, poetry, and book reviews. Her sci-fi writing has appeared in anthologies such as Future Days, Dogs of War, From a Cat's View, Enter the Rebirth, and Mother's Revenge, and magazines and online zines such as Bards and Sages Quarterly, New Myths, Star*Line, Liminality, and Apparition Lit. Her collection of speculative haibun poetry, In Days to Come, is available from Hiraeth Publishing.
In her younger years, Timpf was an avid athlete, participating in softball, field hockey, ball hockey, ice hockey, basketball, broomball, volleyball, badminton and track and field at various points in her life. Now confined to less strenuous pursuits, she enjoys organic gardening, cycling, and bird-watching.
Keith J. Hoskins is an award-winning author and founding member of the Bel Air Creative Writers Society. He has eight short stories in seven anthologies as well as his own anthology, Beyond the Portal, and his trilogy thriller Forgotten. Keith is currently working on his first novel: Kray and the Coveted Seer, a fantasy novel set in a magical world. Keith’s main genres of interest are fantasy, science fiction, and thrillers.
Born on January 5, 1968, Keith has always had a love of fiction from an early age. He attributes this to his mother who introduced him to TV shows like Star Trek and The Twilight Zone, as well as authors such as Ray Bradbury, Author C. Clarke, and Stephen King.
Though initially drawn to fantasy and science fiction, Keith has found that he has a talent for writing short stories, especially those with bizarre or twisted endings, reminiscent of the Twilight Zone.
When he’s not fighting off dragons or piloting a spaceship through an asteroid belt, Keith is most likely spending quality time at home in Aberdeen, Maryland with his wife Donna, his son Bailey, and their mischievous schnauzer Harley.

After a few decades of reading nearly any science fiction or fantasy I could get my hands on, I thought to myself, "I can do this, how hard can it be?", thus proving once and for all I'm really not that bright.
I served for twenty-two years in the U.S. Air Force, working in fields ranging from aviation fuels to network security and IT program management before retiring as a Master Sergeant. Since then I have supported my writing habit by working as a firing range safety officer and occasional freelance courier (which sounds way better than Uber delivery driver).
Because insanity loves company, in the spring of 2019 I joined the Atlanta Radio Theatre Company as an actor and writer. As a member there I've had the privilege of performing at DragonCon and other venues around the southeastern United States.
Geneve Flynn is a two-time Bram Stoker Award winner and a winner of a Shirley Jackson Award and an Aurealis Award. She is a freelance editor from Australia who specialises in speculative fiction. Her works have been nominated and shortlisted for the Locus, British Fantasy, Aurealis, Australian Shadows, Rhysling, and Elgin awards, and for the Pushcart Prize. She is a recipient of the 2022 Queensland Writers Fellowship. She loves tales that unsettle, all things writerly, and B-grade action movies; if that sounds like you, check out her website at www.geneveflynn.com.au
