The second in Codename: Chandler series. I LOVE this series. It's my favorite. This novella is just long enough for me to think, are you sure it's a novella? Which is awesome.

This is about Chandler before she had to Flee. Which was the first book in her series. So this was before all of that happened. Gives us a glimpse into what she had to do for her country and lets us into what the kind of person she is.

Trained for deadly tasks she is rushed into an operation to save a girl from a sex traffic ring. Some things don't start to add up for her and soon she realizes things are not exactly what they seem to be.

Full of suspense, exciting fast-paced action, and balanced out by some fun, some sadness and even a little bit of loving. I couldn't ask for more from a story. It has everything. Plus, a kick-a** heroine. I love it and can't wait for more in this series.

Enjoyed Chandler. Non-stop action. well done.
That said...felt the ending lacked too much logic. First winter and Maine is toast. Liked one character too much for them to suffer that way, thought it over the top. Did like the demise of the staff-on all accounts through the story.
Definitely will read more in the series.
Gave it the fourth star for being action packed thriller (hovered on 3 for improbability regarding end).

I don't usually read thrillers, but I love Joe's blog posts so I bought this book to show my support for him and to say thanks for everything he's done, as well as all he's put up with, over the years. I thought I'd just read the first paragraph and put it in my 'to be read' pile and get to it down the road. Well, that didn't work out. I couldn't put the book down. Joe and his co-authors kept me on the edge of my seat until 4am! That's okay, it was worth it.

If you're looking for a quick, immersive, book, this is the one for you. A great read.

First there was Flee; high octane, impossible acts of physicality, limited character development and non stop action.

Exposed is the second in this new series but it is a prequel to the first novel. I found this addition to the series to have more character and plot development. The seemingly impossible physical acts and non stop action are still present but it is a more enjoyable read. The character of Chandler is given a touch of compassion and humanity which makes the story line more appealing. The authors seem to enjoy bizarre plot twists and having Chandler save the world from some diabolical doomsday in each of the novels. As with the first novel, chapters would have helped, at least it would have helped me. If the reader will allow it, this series will provide an excellent escape from reality. So far the first two novels have been light hearted but enjoyable reads.

Strong characters and creative situations make this thriller a must read! Fans of Konrath will enjoy this novel, and if you are not familiar with this author, prepare for a treat! I'm looking forward to reading more of this series.

Obviously books 4 and 5 are the background stories for books before them. Really wish they had been 1 and 2 since I know what happened at the end! But they were both good stories.

EXPOSED by Joe Konrath and Ann Voss Peterson is another fast paced thriller in the Chandler series. A prequel to FLEE, this novella is guaranteed to keep you turning the pages until you reach The End. I love Chandler, the tough as nails heroine with a heart of gold. She's smart, determined to save the world, and never backs down from a fight. I'm looking forward to SPREE, the third book in the series, and the new challenges Chandler will have to face and overcome!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent thriller.......more Chandler please!

I had just finished a book on the day I downloaded this and as it was a shorter novel I decided to read it next. What a very well written story it is!
Chandler is an elite agent that few people know about, and on the surface her new assignment seems straight forward:- remove a VIPs daughter from a model agency which is a front for a trafficking ring.
However once inside, things don't seem quite so simple and so begins an exciting and deadly chase where no-one is really sure who's on which side, and why the girl must be completely unharmed.....
Reading Flee by the same author first will give more background on Chandler but this works well as a stand alone story.

I agree wholeheartedly with most of the previous reviews. If you suspend belief and treat this as a fun read you will find yourself pulled along at a cracking pace and unable to put the book down. The only thing that stopped me from giving it five stars is that the storyline did get extremely far fetched at times but it did not spoil my enjoyment of an excellent storyline with strong characters. Download it now, you won't regret it!

Although doesn't take long to read, I couldn't put it down. It's like a female Bourne. I love the Konrath, Peterson and Blake crossover characters
