This is the first book in the Fated series, it’s the first book by this author and I already have the second book up to read next, I loved it so much. It’s hot and heavy and full of love, passion, heartache, family drama and plenty of secrets to go around. Francesca Jones whom is known by most everybody but her mother as Frankie, is a physiotherapist from a small coastal town in the south west in England. That needs to move on with her life, one fateful meeting at her cousin JJ’s Inquest with a man named Jabby has left her unable to move on past her grief and past the vivid erotic dreams that she has been having of him. When she gets offered the job of a life time in New York, she jumps at the chance as is pushed by her aunt and uncle. She jumps at the chance as it means she gets a few months with her best friend Bella who works for the New York Post, that alone makes it worth going, as with her best friend she can do anything, even admitting to the erotic dreams that she has been having after she is caught talking in her sleep by Bella.
    James Alexander Blackmore II is a powerful CEO of Blackmore Industries, he is Frankie’s new boss it’s his little brother Nathan that Frankie is employed to provide physio for, but he is a man of many names Alex is the most common and the one he goes by every day, but Jabby is a name he has been known by as well. Fate has decided that the time is right for them to meet again, but neither of them are ready for it. Alex is shackled to obligations that he can’t be freed from just yet, and Frankie has just decided that she is ready to move on. Can they fight the future they are fated for? Or will Fate have a twist and show them it’s worth the fight in the end?
    This series has kicked off with a bang, its well written and passionate, its suitable for over 18s only as there are scenes of a sexual nature and some dominance. The best thing about this book is that you get to meet such great characters that you can’t help but want to fight for them, and I for one can’t wait to hear more about Bella’s story in the next book.

    So...I really liked the love story of Frankie and Alex (Jabby). Both have had rough times with family but Frankie found unconditional love with her uncle, aunt and cousin JJ. Unfortunately JJ was killed in military action and that's where Alex came in. He was the leader of the military op that resulted in JJ's death. He was torn up over it but through JJ, he learned of Frankie and from the beginning he loved Frankie from afar. Even though she was still too young for him, I guess Alex recognized his soulmate but needed for her to grow up and become of legal age. Frankie meets Jabby after JJ is killed and although she inadvertently blames Jabby for not protecting her beloved cousin, she is also extremely attracted to him for some reason. As a result, her obsession with Jabby affects her interest in any other men along the way.
    We find out that Alex has set up a job for Frankie to rehab his brother Nathan who has suffered a leg injury from his motorbike racing. This served to bring Frankie within his vicinity and also to help his brother. In the beginning, you see Frankie and Alex texting back and forth and you knew that the texts were more that employer and employee. Alex seemed to be very attentive to Frankie's needs and you already knew he was the "Jabby" from the past. Anyway, the story continues with the revelation that Alex is Jabby and they both realized how in love they are with each other. Alex was swoon worthy and Frankie was all caught up with all the attention and sexiness Alex threw at her. I really loved how Alex was so alpha and growly with Frankie and made her feel like she was the love of his life. This was what made me confused. We knew he was having family issues because he was constantly called back home to deal with the problems. I understood he didn't want Frankie caught up with all the stress from his family. But what he did and the decision he made to not tell Frankie was unbelievably dumb and stupid. How can you love someone and then hurt them so bad? I was as heartbroken as Frankie even though I knew there had to be a good reason. But it seem like everyone else knew what was going on and yet they left it for Alex to tell Frankie what the story was. So how is it that everyone else knows what's going on and not the supposed love of your life? That was a horribly bad call on Alex. But of course they will have their HEA...the author just had to make them suffer for a little while. Other than that I really enjoyed this story..and the sex was great too! Alex was very dominant to Frankie who was submissive but not in a wimpy way.

    Fated is the first book in the Fated Series by A.S Roberts.
    Francesca Jones (Frankie) comes from a small seaside town in England and has just flown to New York City as part of her new job requirement. She is a Physiotherapist and has been headhunted specially for this job- the offer was too good to pass up. The wage is incredibly generous and the position comes with a lot of other incentives such as flights, accommodation and lots of free time to do as she pleases. An added benefit to the job is that her best friend Bella happens to be living in New York- as a journalist for The New York Times. She can’t wait to be reunited with Bella, as it’s been too long since they last saw each other. Then there’s the added incentive of being able to get away from painful memories and let go of some emotional baggage that has been holding her back for far too long now. The last thing Frankie expected was coming face to face with her erotic dream and getting a very powerful reminder of the past.
    Alex Blackmore is has had responsibility thrust on him from a very young age. It’s not something he enjoys, but he is very good at what he does. As CEO of Blackmore industries he is used to calling the shots and making things happen. He is a master of control. So when Frankie walks back into his life, he is powerless to resist- his dominant tendencies and need for control are going to be pushed beyond his limits. He is determined to make her his, but will she be willing to hear anything he has to say? They both have a lot of guilt, pain and are tortured by the past- can they find a way to let go of their burdens and welcome their future?     This is the first book by Ms. Roberts that I have read and I loved it… I am led to believe that this is her debut novel and I am really impressed by how polished and highly professional this story is. This is truly a stellar debut; I can only imagine how incredible the rest of the series is going to be. Ms. Roberts is definitely an author to watch for in the future!
    The characters are so wonderful; they are quirky, individual and very endearing in all their flawed glory. I loved Frankie- she is smart, funny, strong, kind, caring, a little naive and quite vulnerable. She really had a low self-opinion, which is understandable considering her past- I wanted to give her a great big hug and tell her how lovely she really is. Alex is sex-on-legs- tall, dark and handsome, with a panty dropping grin….. and I want him! I realised that I have A LOT of book boyfriends now - so as of today, I have started a Harem for them all and have added Alex to it. He really is swoony, flaws and all. The chemistry between Frankie and Ales is really sexy and sensual- their bedroom scenes are electrifyingly erotic. Bella, Nathan and Edwards are a fantastic. They brought wit, funny banter and lots of interest to the storyline. I really would like to find out more about them all.
    I am positive that this is only the beginning of my love affair with Ms. Roberts’ work and I can’t wait to read everything she writes, especially the next book in this series!

    Fated by A.S.Roberts is a story about the relationship between Alex and Frankie.

    I cannot believe this is an actual debut novel for this author. This reads as though the author was born to write. I lost sleep reading this book as I could not bare to go to sleep without turning "one more page". This book will have you hooked from the very first page.

    I laughed with the characters, fell in love with them and they also broke my heart. This book had attacked me with all the feels possible. This book even frustrated me as I wanted to bang the characters heads together. But it was in such a good way.

    Once you start reading this it will keep you interested until the very end. You will not be able to stop. I also love how you could even do spin off books with the other characters and I just hope that the author goes into their lives a little bit more in the future.

    An absolutely captivating read that I plan to read over and over again and I was definitely kept on the edge of my seat. I had such a book hangover with this book, it's unreal. This is one beautiful book that you will not want to end. The author did an absolutely fantastic job.

    I am really looking forward to investigating more from this author in the future. Really emotional book. Would definitely recommend to all my friends and family.

    I really enjoyed the debut story for A.S Roberts.

    Frankie is an English Physio, hired to help Superbike rider Nathan Blackmore recover after an accident. She moved from England to New York for this job and shared an apartment with her best friend Bella which was provided by Blackmore Industries. Frankie has been raised by her Aunt and Uncle, her father had passed away and her mother is a right royal cow.

    Frankie and her best friend Bella go to watch Nathan's brother Alex play a game of Rugby and quickly realises that they have met before. There are some up's and downs in Frankie and Alex's story as well as some secrets but all are very well written and the story development is good.

    This story flowed well and had a few twists and turns I didn't see coming. This book is a stand alone and the ending of the story finished well. The story didn't quite grab me on a full emotional level, but that was just me, after reading some of the other reviews it did have that full emotional experience for other readers. The characters were great, the story was enjoyable, well developed and I will be buying the next story in the Blackmore series. I want to know how Nathan gets on, I really like him :)

    So do yourself a favour, give a new author a go and one click Fated. A.S Roberts', Frankie and Alex story wont disappointed you.

    This was my first read by this author and although it didnt grab me saying OMG, it grabbed me enough that i want to read more by the author and more of the series so i can that a win.
    Frankie gets a new amazing job in the states but will it all be as it seems?
    Alex needs a physio for his brother but is he putting all his cards on the table?
    Twists, turns, emotions and a wee hint of 50 shades alpha maleness and you get one good story.
