So much pain, repression, shock, and loss of hope before this solitary world is turned on its head by a single intruder. Emotions spike and keep compounding in the most fascinating ways. The sexual abandon and push and pull of the turbulent MCs had me on trigger’s edge. The violently erotic sex was cataclysmic. Pepper Winters has created one of the darkest stories she has ever written and one of the most enigmatic characters in Kassen. A man who has cut himself off from civilization and lives with a brutal past that still haunts him. He will do anything - kill anyone to survive and protect his home. Gemma a thrill seeking mountaineer is trying to fill a void, an emptiness one adventure at a time. She sets out on another climb hoping to chase away her loneliness. When she gets lost on her journey and takes a wrong turn she encounters something far more dangerous than the rockiest of peaks - Kassen. This book ends on a cliffhanger bigger than Mount Everest it's raw, gritty, violent and disturbing in a way my dark heart 🖤 craves. It has trigger warnings galore and it is not for the faint of heart. But it is lush, beautiful, sad, electric and it made my heart and pulse race with it's intensity. I can't recommend it enough to all of you brave souls that love to take a read on the dark sexy side. It will leave you breathless, shaken and wanting more.
