From the Author

This is the third book in the Hidden Truth series. It's special to me because it delves into the challenge a father faces when he realizes his son is an addict. I have a loved one in my family who has struggled with drug addiction, so in writing this book, I was able to revisit some of the tangled and confusing emotions that came along with that very difficult time in our lives. The story, of course, is entirely fictional, but the father's struggles feel very close to home. If you have a loved one who struggles with addiction, seek help. There are so many wonderful people who've walked this path and who will help you navigate yours. This is not something you want to tackle alone.

Robin Patchen is a USA Today bestselling and award-winning author of Christian romantic suspense. She grew up in a small town in New Hampshire, the setting of her Nutfield Saga books, and then headed to Boston to earn a journalism degree. After college, working in marketing and public relations, she discovered how much she loathed the nine-to-five ball-and-chain. After relocating to the Southwest, she started writing her first novel while she homeschooled her three children. The novel was dreadful, but her passion for storytelling didn’t wane. Thankfully, as her children grew, so did her writing ability. Now that her kids are adults, she has more time to play with the lives of fictional heroes and heroines, wreaking havoc and working magic to give her characters happy endings. When she’s not writing, she’s editing or reading, proving most of her life revolves around the twenty-six letters of the alphabet.

Teenage drug dealing, addiction, sociopathic killers, agoraphobia, rehab, and sober living! Book 3 of 3 deals with so many tough issues! The drug addicted teen, Aiden, is Garrison Kopp's son. Aiden's mother, divorced from Garrison, is an addict. Garrison, former FBI Agent, now does forensic accounting so he can be home more for Aiden. It's not helping; Aiden is sullen, manipulative, mendacious, slovenly, and addicted to oxy.

Aiden's addiction is only the tip of the iceberg in this complex storyline. The character development is superb; the bad guys are wicked and the "normal" people are really likable. This author's writing style is impressive and wonderfully descriptive. "Its good to hit bottom. That's where the solid ground is."

Each book in the series stands alone well with no cliffhanger, but the stories are connected by the characters who know each other. While dealing with difficult issues, the storyline is rich with hope and the love of God. The suspense is scary, the love story is heartwarming! You won't want to miss this inevitably feel-good read!

Not even the strongest people can survive without at least some help from others, but choosing to be vulnerable enough to ask is a challenge. This struggle is a recurring theme in this fast-paced, heartfelt novel.

Garrison is a loving father trying to save his adolescent son from substance abuse. To further complicate things, he has to confront his growing feelings for Sam, a woman facing demons and struggles of her own. When a dangerous situation arrives to threaten them, Garrison and Sam must learn to trust God, friends, and one another to endure.

With vivid, relatable characters, drama, suspense, and inspirational themes about faith and love, Generous Lies keeps the reader engaged on multiple levels. I highly recommend this book. Just be prepared to want to read it all in one sitting!

One day out of the blue Garrison Kopp calls her needing her help . He needs a place to stay for a few days and naturally Sam wants to help him so she offers him and his son a place to stay for a few days. They will stay in one of her rental cabins. Garrison and his son Aiden have some problems to work out. Can Sam help Garrison? What problems are Garrison and his son bringing to her quiet little town? When former FBI agent Garrison Kopp's teenaged son is found to have a drug addiction, he's desperate to find help for him. But what if his son doesn't want to be helped? Garrison feels it'd be better to travel out of town with his son--the further son Aiden is from his friends and connections, perhaps the easier it'll be to overcome the drug addiction. But one of Aiden's friends has hidden something in Garrison's car--and the rest is edge-of-your seat suspense to the end! There's murder, kidnapping, and danger with a developing romance between Garrison and his friend Samantha. An exciting read with relatable characters. I found the struggles of dealing with a child who's addicted to drugs realistically and honestly portrayed as well. I highly recommend this book--and this entire series!

Robin Patchen is a great writer of Christian suspense and romance. This book is about a father, Garrison Kopp, who decides he needs to do something drastic to get his son’s attention, and help him get off of the drugs he is taking, which were gradually stealing his son’s life. He calls a friend, Samantha, (who he wants to get better acquainted with) and asks if she has a cabin available; then he takes his son, Adrian, out of state, reducing contact with and calls to his friends. An additional plot weaves in and out of this, involving others in a potentially deadly situation. This book is one that is difficult to stop reading—you will likely be so wrapped up in the story, you won’t want to stop reading! Be sure to get a copy, and find out, for yourself. You won’t be sorry!

Sam holds things close to herself and doesn’t take risks. How much is she willing to risk for her friends.

Garrison Kopp thought he knew best, thought he could do it all himself. When his son, Aiden, overdoses and goes to hospital and has lots of drugs in his system. How can Garrison fix it?

Follow the suspense through the ups and downs of relationships.
