This book begins with an almost not happening wedding as the bride starts having cold feet minutes before she's to walk down the aisle. Her sister Dani turns to the one person she knows can help her calm the bride, the grooms brother Nick.

Nick knows Dani is off limits but he can't help himself and a heated kiss almost turns to more at the reception. But he manages to get control of himself and leaves her feeling dejected.

It's ten years later, and Dani finds herself in a situation that requires some help. Help that could be Nick. Nick is recuperating from an knee injury. An injury not caused in battle but on an obstacle course he's run so many times he could do it in his sleep. Restless and bored at his brother's home, he jumps at the opportunity to help Dani.

Dani was hoping to work on a documentary, something that would enhance her resume instead the show New Millenia Media was hiring for was a Wedding Reality Show called Cold Feet. The bridemaids are the absolute worst, one day they're fine, the next at each others throats for some ridiculous reason or another. Now the bride has gone missing, no one has seen her since she retired the night before.

In the midst of the chaos, Dani calls her sister to vent.

Nick really had no idea what he was getting into, especially once the bride returns. He is put into the spotlight and really doesn't like it one bit.

The attraction between him and Dani is obvious to everyone but Dani and I love the way this relationship develops.

Plenty of laughs, suspense, and a simmer to sizzle romance.

I am looking forward to reading the next book in this multi-author series.

I really liked this book. Loved it. I can see me reading it again.
I’m usually not a fan of a couple not liking each other in the beginning but this book was so well written, there was hardly any bickering. You can tell from the start that Nick really likes Dani and he enjoys spending time with her, even when she’s mad at him. They have fun and witty banter and actually get along very well. They are so sweet together.
The reality show aspect was interesting and the mystery of what’s going on with the star in the show was intriguing and kept me guessing.
Lots going on and I couldn’t stop reading. I recommend.

One of the things I love most about Cat's stories is the pure happiness I get from reading them. I always close her books with a smile on my face and joy in my heart. This is no exception to that rule.

Nick and Dani are absolutely amazing, together and as their own person. Their relationship is chock full of history, a little bit of angst, and some seriously snarky one liners fired back and forth. It's laugh out loud funny, sexy af, and heartwarming.

What more could you want in a romance? The correct answer is nothing.

Hot Seal, Runaway Bride: Fantastic! Amazing characters. I loved the whole idea of the reality show idea. Nick and Dani were great together in and out of the bedroom. I liked that Clay and Zach were in the story. It's always great to old characters as well as new. I liked that Nick would do anything to get Dani's attention. He is great at what he does. Great story.

This story had me interested from the start. Nick & Dani grew up as neighbors...but both seemed to dislike the other. Dani’s sister marries Nick’s brother & all of a sudden they’re thrown together for family gatherings. Nick’s a Navy SEAL home on medical leave & ends up working on the reality show that Dani is working at....this story has everything you want in a great book....& it becomes obvious that maybe they don’t hate one another as much as they’ve said. Couldn’t put it down...read through it quickly I was so immersed in it. I recommend this to everyone who’s read Cat Johnson & those who haven’t...it’s be a good one to get to know her with.

Dani has hated Nick for the past decade because he walked away from her after a heart stopping kiss they night her sister and his brother got married. But she keeps dreaming about that kiss and more that could have happened. Nick can't seem to forget her and that kiss and it feeds his fantasies for the past decade. Now he is on medical leave because of a knee injury while running the obstacle course. When strange things start happening at the reality show that Dani works for, she calls Nick for advise and he gets hired as security for the show. Will Dani get jealous because the "bride" on the show is using Nick as her personal bodyguard? Will Dani finally call a truce to her hatred of Nick and will they tell each other how they really feel? Why is the "groom" voted off the show and who will replace him?

I have read, and liked, nearly everything that Cat Johnson has written. This story, while very enjoyable, has a basic plot point that is completely unlikely and it interferes with enjoying the story, for me. That point is that active duty SEALs are not supposed to be photographed or filmed, it compromises their safety and that of their team. Therefore Nick being visible on a reality show could never happen. Other than that this is a typical Cat Johnson great book.

Nice guy, Navy SEAL Nick Nelson steps up to help out feisty Dani Garcia with her wacky reality show and finally gets it right with her ten years after messing it up. This is an often hilarious and very endearing romance between two people who grew up next door to each other who finally admit how crazy they are for each other. Low angst and that's fine. I really enjoyed this enemies (sort of) to lovers story.

Hating the next door neighbour turns to love. For ten years Nick and Dani have been antagonistic towards each other. They finally get a chance to spend time together and the hate disappears into the lust it has always covered. They finally become honest about their feelings and a new future awaits.
