This book takes place in Fox Hollow, which is home to shifters, psychics, and others that are a part of the paranormal community. Liam is a fox shifter on the run and finds refuge in Fox Hollow. The first person he meets is the uber sexy mechanic/firefighter wolf shifter Russ. These two have some serious chemistry that they can't deny. Soon trouble comes calling for Liam, but will he be able to survive without anyone else getting hurt, or will he have to high tail it out of the place he has come to love and the one person he feels drawn to? Loved this book! Liam and Russ are adorable. Plenty of nail biting scenes to keep you on your toes. Plus, the cover! woo hoo! Hot!!! I did receive a copy of this book from Hidden Gems and this is my honest review.

    Liam is a fox shifter on the run from a hired but who happens to land a job in Fox Hollow, a small shifter safe community in the Adirondacks. Russ is a wolf shifter who runs the local auto shop and is a volunteer fire fighter. Neither one believes in fated mates but they are going to learn that date has other ideas in store for them both. I love Morgan Brice's books and this one is no exception! I look forward to more in this series and see the potential for some cross-overs!!!! I highly recommend you read this book!!! Just the right amount of action and the characters are so relatable.

    Morgan hooked me with another paranormal series that she wrote, so I wanted to dive into her version of the shifter genre. I wasn’t disappointed but there were some things that made this plot seem a little too easy for the MC’s to fall in love.

    The story revolves around two shifters brought together by crazy circumstances. Both having scars from previous relationships and reservations about starting a new one. What made this alittle too easy of a love story for me was the fated lovers angle. While not against the idea, the quickness and relative ease by which both MC’s accepted it was were I found “fault”. Not that it was bad, just easy. That’s not to say that we don’t find our MC’s in danger and their bond tested.

    Overall I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next.

    What a great beginning to a new series. Love the idea of a town like Fox Hollow which is open to all kinds of shifters and psychics. It was wonderful to see how Russ and Liam could tell immediately that they were “fated mates” even though they were hesitant to take the next step. Lots of action and mystery taking place and so nice to see the whole town come together when the “chips were down”. I loved the little aside towards the end that indicate that this series is going to tie in with some of Morgan Brice’s other series. If you like urban fantasy M/M romance, you’re going to love this!!

    If you've been following my reviews for a while now you know I love love love Fox shifters. They are cunning, sneaky, feisty, small and just all around perfection in my opinion. Anyways I digress. This is a quick and easy read with insta love , if you read shifters on the regular than you know with fated mates this is a given. It takes place in a tight-knit community filled with people, shifters and other varieties of those in tune with the supernatural. If you're looking for more than a fluffy shifter romance this has a heavy dose of steamy intimate scenes and a touch of action.

    Morgan Brice is a new author to me and overall I enjoyed the Huntsman, so I'll be keeping an eye out for future books in the Fox Hollow Zodiac series. I'm a sucker for a small town shifter romance with a HEA.

    I enjoyed this book and that the fated mates also hinged on choice. Both characters kept telling their animal side that they were human too and humans did things differently. That doesn't mean that they didn't get together quickly but rather they both recognized that they each had to also chose one another. I liked that take on fated mates but I also like consent in my books so that's probably why! Brice even makes the point that it doesn't solve everything but it does smooth the edges on what might be larger conflicts in non-fated mate relationships.

    There's a little bit of mystery and intrigue, which I also enjoy in a book. When it's mixed with the paranormal it hits a lot of the right notes for me so if that's something you like, then I'd give this book a try.

    There were a lot of good character details worked into the book, like how Liam learned more about being a fox (don't want to give it away) and who was in the pack Russ is part of are two such details. When a book is going to be part of a series I enjoy the series more when it's not a lot of info dump in each book but a slower development of the characters over time. We already know something about characters who living Fox Hollow so when they show up later we'll recognize them and understand how they fit into the story.

    Right now this is a stand alone series but there's a line that sets it up to be connected to Brice's larger universe and I look forward to seeing how that might play out.

    This is my first book by this author and now I'm hooked. This book had a little bit of everything...romance, action, humor, and sexiness...all perfectly balanced out. Liam and Russ are fated mates so the romance and love is quick, as expected but we do get a great love story. I really liked that their shifter animals have their own snarky personalities and communicate with their human. The secondary characters capture your attention to want their stories without overtaking the story. And I really hope we get their stories. Now I'm off to discover more books from Morgan Brice

    Morgan Brice is one of my favorite authors and I loved her series Badlands. I wasn't going to read this book, though, until I read her novella Imaginary Lover, which introduced me to Fox Hollow (although the Huntsman happens first). I was intrigued so decided to read the Huntsman. I really liked it and thought Liam and Russ were such a great couple. The setting was great and the story very exciting, I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

    Morgan Brice is a genius creating amazing worlds with supernatural topics. This book 1 of this new series is the proof of that. The plot is intrincate but at the same time, Ms Brice made it easy to understand using human nature as the catalysts of the story. Of course what made more captivating this love story about fated mates, is that besides the sweet and romantic scenes between Liam and Russ there are a lot of interesting situations, action, danger, an evil foe, psychics, magic and different types of shifters with some perks that were new for me. Also, the many characters inside the book were developed in a masterful way with many intense and emotional interactions that made them very complete and authentic. I loved especially Liam and Russ relationship and all the little details that made it so unique, closing everything with a sweet and romantic epilogue. I can't wait to read more in this incredible series especially with the promise the author made at the end for the future apparition of familiar faces from other stories in the big world built by Morgan Brice. Simply WOW!!

Russ is a wolf shifter, he meets Liam when he arrives to tie his car. They both soon realise they are fated mates, but have past hurts to get over before they can be together. They get to know one another which soon leads to love

    This was a fun read for the most part, but overall I felt that it lacked depth. The worldbuilding was good, and I liked this authors take on the shifters, but I also found that needed more depth. Simple things like whether humans knew about shifters, or what allowed humans to be introduced to their world weren't clearly spelled out. It seemed ok for spouses to know, and Liam told his boyfriend that he was a shifter when they hadn't been together a long time and weren't living together, but then we're told that it's meant to be a secret and they're not to expose themselves to humans.

    The characters were likeable, and were well developed which was definitely assisted by the alternating POV. What we did miss was what happened between Liam and Russ with regards to the mating bond - what it felt like when they actually bonded, could they communicate telepathically, feel each others feelings etc. It was all glossed over - they mated and then we skipped immediately to the epilogue.

    While the storyline flowed well, I wasn't quite clear as to whether this was supposed to have some mystery and intrigue with the Huntsman, or whether it was so obvious by design. Sometimes it read like we were meant to be trying to figure out who was behind it, but I found it glaringly obvious who was involved. I also found the story missed closing out some loose ends (like the couch - they completely messed it up, said they were going to clean it up the next morning but got the emergency call so it never got cleaned and was never mentioned again - simple things, but things that were specifically called out and then left hanging). And where did Drew keep going any time Russ and Liam were at the cabin? We never see Drew there when Liam is, and shenanigans occur all over the house and they never get caught or teased by Drew.

    Overall it was still a fun read, and I can see a clear setup for Drew and Noah, but I also found it easy to put down. I would suggest it's a good read if you're after something light with shifter themes that doesn't make you think too hard.
