Awesome series!
Book 3 begins with Flicka and Deiter getting to Las Vegas safely. Now they must keep their wits about them to hide from people after them. Flicka's ex-husband and Deiter's family. It will take some time for them to figure it all out. This book is wonderful. It's got so many ins and outs that it's really hard to put it down. You'll want the next one as soon as you can get it.

    Gosh this book was terrific! I wish that I could give it more than 5 stars. Blair Babylon is perhaps my favorite author. I have purchased all of her books and read and re-read them all.

    This third book starts out a bit differently than the others. The first two books were written chapter by chapter from either Dieter's or Flicka's perspective. This one takes an unexpected turn, giving us a take on Prince Pierre Grimaldi's own views on the vicissitudes of life for him. He complains about the expectations and difficulties of life as a prince. I loved his statement that his cousins who might have inherited 'swan off to follow their life in The Church, or as a Rockstar'. His cousin Christine, being a female is ineligible. He makes several references to raping, either as omitted possibilities in fairy tales or the droit du seigneur or the older jus primae Noctis, where the local king or other lord would have the right to the virgin bride before her own husband. At the end of his rant, he states that he always wanted the throne and all it stood for. No repentance here.

    What an unusual beginning for this book. The action is fast-paced, as usual. It is filled with danger, attempted kidnappings of Flicka, Dieter trying to help Flicka past the PTSD trauma inflicted upon her by the physical damage done to her by Pierre and his head of security, trying to survive as very poor commoners, ignoring Dieter's demands that she just stay in their room with the door locked. Yeah, knowing Flicka's tendency to slip her security details, that will never happen.

    What I take away from this book, is that no matter our background, one can change the outcome from what looks like hopeless despair to a glorious interlude, at least until the next crisis. Flicka and Dieter utilize their past skills to manage quite well. Flicka surprises herself with her ability to take care of a toddler to both Dieter and her delight. More of the pieces of Dieter's past are being uncovered. He is more than a mercenary, he is a devoted and capable Father, and a caring lover to Flicka.

    Only about three weeks to go until the fourth book is released! While I anxiously wait, I think I will read all the books over again, this time in the suggested order! If you have yet to try one of Blair Babylon's books, your life is not complete! Go get Runaway Princess series, but you should read them in order. FIVE FABULOUS STARS!!!

    As always , at least for me , BLAIR BABYLON 'S writing has put a big ole Cheshire Cat grin on my face !!! This 3rd story of FLICKA'S has been a wonderful peek into a how each and every day can be a revelation into how resilient we all can be. Poor Flicka just wants a quickie divorce, but sometimes one has to Wait. Dealing with a very tough financial situation, that she has never before had to deal with, P T S D from her abusive ex- husband, no support from those closest to her , has lead to Flicka finding out that she is much tougher then she ever thought possible. I love the way that BLAIR BABYLON has written Flicka to be vulnerable, yet strong enough to know that deep down , she will be able to face a very hard period in her life, and still be okay on the other side. Such is real life , right ? One never knows how strong one can be until faced with adversity and some occasional chaos. And this book is FULL of that !! It is one adventure after another, one revelation after another , and one sense of accomplishment after another . BLAIR BABYLON writes so very REAL , that I sometimes feel as though these are REAL people , family even ........
    Dieter is also in one situation after another . He wants to do what is best for Flicka , the love of his life, but he also knows that she needs to get as far away from him as she can , because all of his secrets ( most of his life is a LIE ). And if anyone from his past ever knew how he felt about her, she would be in mortal peril. And if that happened, he would wouldn't feel bad when he destroyed everything in his path to avenge his love .
    Which is Why Dieter must keep one step ahead of his enemies as they close in on them both !!
    BLAIR BABYLON books are all must -haves if you like action \adventure , and and a whole lotta SEXY, red ,hotttt love scenes that you Will read over and over again !!!!!

    I like this story but I hate cliffhangers.
    And you do it to us again?
    I can't believe it. You honestly expect the reader to wait for the rest of the story, which will probably be in 3 more books, when you have already stretched this story to the limit.
    I'm not interested anymore. You have burned this reader one too many times.
    I use to be a Blair Babylon fan but no longer.
    Did I mention I HATE cliffhangers?

    Blair’s books always blow me away and this one is no exception. The third installment of Runaway Billionaires series finds Flicka and Dieter hiding from Flicka’s horrid soon to be ex- husband. With no money and no way to access their old lives without being found, they have to scramble and be like working class Americans Las Vegas in order to establish residency to allow her to get a divorce.

    Always resourceful Flicka who refuses to be a prisoner in a hotel room for anyone, goes out and lands a job and a townhouse apartment for them to live in. The bad vibes for her first job are noticeable as the other waitresses are wary of her and her boss thinks she shouldn’t be spending any time with her customers even though that’s clearly how waitresses make their tips. Chased out of her job after only two weeks, Flicka lands another job in a different hotel. She quickly gets noticed when the bartender quits and she gets everyone’s orders caught up. Flicka makes a wonderful bartender and if she wasn’t a princess in real life she could make a great living doing that!

    This is the third book in a series which will have five total, so in true Blair fashion, it ends on a cliffhanger. You’ll want to preorder the next book as soon as you finish this one. While you wait until July for the next to be published, be sure to read (or re read cause they are good enough to love every time) all of Blair’s other books. You’ll find they are all twisty and turny and interwoven with each other so much that you’ll feel like you’d be best friends with the characters if you met them in real life.

    I finished reading approximately 48 hours ago. I had pre-ordered so I could read it 'hot off the press', so to speak. Then, I made another pot of tea and read it again.
    I'm quite beyond an avid fan of the world Blair Babylon has created for us, with her Billionaires in Disguise/Rockstars in Disguise books. I have every book, epilogue, short story etc that she has written under the Nom de Plume of Blair Babylon. Dieter and Flicka, the leads, in this 'The Runaway Princess', have had readers captivated since before this series began. This installment- #3 of 'The Runaway Princess' arc, played with so many of my emotions, it was rather like a pianist doing scales. Trepidation, fear, hopefulness, joy, laughter, tenderness, love, passion, sex - (hot, hot sex), betrayal. Yep, other authors play with our emotions. It's what readers want and it's how authors generate fans, loyalty, revenue.
    Blair though, she takes us on fantasies. Dieter and Flicka, are trying to hide in plain sight, in Las Vegas, of all the 'off the beaten track' places in the world! Flicka's soon to be ex, is an entitled, despicable, stench ridden tower of flesh, with his very own army charged to seek and destroy Dieter and to capture Flicka at all costs, short of murder. But that's not the only breath capturing element in this book. Flicka's damaged body and soul, flourish under Dieter's so very careful, then devilishly delightful ministrations.
    You don't need to have read the 2 prior books in this series, to pick up this story. But, I assure you, you'll crave to, once you've read this book. This is a heart clenching, pulse racing, and yes, mouth watering book. And, at the climax, you WILL be accessing the Pre-order link for the next book. These stories are THAT wonderfully addictive.
    I do apologize, if you are disappointed that I've not offered up a summary of this utterly scrumptious book. I don't particularly like to read spoilers when I read reviews. So, I extend the same courtesy to anyone reading my reviews. Trust me. Look at that cover. Dieter's character is truly as stunning as that gorgeous cover promises. Flicka is not remotely a pallid, ineffective wisp of royal entitlement. Together, the bodyguard and the (ex)princess have a combustible, exquisite relationship. Treat yourself. Luxuriate in the fantasy, the scintillating caresses, the unexpected explosions of laughter, the mind numbing betrayals and then? The climax of this book has minds racing as to the seeming inescapability of family ties. Whether they be blood ties or soul links; good or evil.

    In A Faraway land is Flicka von Hannover’s story and is part 3 of a 5-part series. All must be read to understand and fully enjoy the series. As to be expected with any book by Blair Babylon, there are many twists and turns and of course a cliff-hanger!

    Flicka has resided in Vegas for 6 weeks with her blonde protector to establish residency so she can Divorce the rapist, bigamist, soon to be ex-husband and aptly labelled Rat B&$)&%!, Prince Pierre Grimaldi.

    Wow! Only a few chapters in and already my heart is torn. Blair my darling, my heart is bleeding, my skin prickles, goose bumps formed, and my eyes cry a shared pain. You left my heart and emotions so raw I felt naked before a crowd of hecklers. Such raw emotion on a page, only you can bring your readers to their knees for a character! Powerless, so aptly titled. The hand holding, touched my soul. I loved it!
    At certain points I still would’ve quite happily shaken Flicka for running off when told not to and being so lax about her security. Would Flicka not realise that Casinos have face recognition technology? I felt at times Flicka put herself and others in danger due to not thinking ahead. Many fans will know exactly what I mean when I say Flicka is as bad as her brother Wulf, when it comes to operational security!
    A simple game of Kitty Ha-Boo had me seeing a new side to Flicka. I smiled so much while reading it. I needed to see that side of her character. I read it twice!! I want to congratulate Blair on her portrayal of Alina. So many authors write children’s characters as much older than their age stated in their books. Yet Blair nailed it.
    By 88% of the way through I was crying my eyes out once again, just to have my emotions turned on their head and be led to one heck of a twist and cliff-hanger. I have never pre-ordered a series of books so fast as I have with Flickas. July cannot come quick enough.

    Although I purchased a copy of my own (and pre-ordered the next!) I received an Advanced Readers Copy for my consideration and honest review!

    Billionaire's in Disguise, the series, by Blair Babylon.
    I must say I've had to eat my words about billionaire books. I previously said I would refuse to read any book with the phrase billionaire in the title, then immediately broke my promise by reading this series.

    I have already read and reviewed The Wulf and Rae series. I have since read Once Upon A Time - 1, In Shining Armor - 2, In a Faraway land - 3, At Midnight - 4, and Happily Ever After - 5. I am now starting on others.

    I guess that's because I find author Blair Babylon, a fascinating writer. She knows just how far to push plots without going overboard. Her tales are sexy, adventurous, thrilling, and fast-moving. Her writing is always taut and crisp, and she has an incredible working knowledge of royalty in many lines, especially the Hannover line, and about security measures.

    I bopped from one book to the next like eating hot buttered well-salted popcorn fresh from the popper. Her timing is impeccable. When you think she's going to fail, she slips you into the next book, and you start on that roller-coaster ride all over again. I have seldom read a series that pulls me as effortlessly and relentlessly from one book to the next.

    I can't go into the details of each book in this review, but would strongly recommend readers start with the Wulf and Rae series and follow through with the rest of them in order. They will reward you with endless hours of breathtaking reading--a gift for any devoted reader like myself.

    So forget what I said about billionaire books. Blair Babylon is a mistress of the art, and her billionaires are believable and mostly lovable people, even though fictional.

    Blair Babylon's characters and storylines are so different from your everyday writer. The intricate plots and twists to her stories pull you in completely. The steamy romance so well written. This is the third book in the Runaway Princess series and I can't wait for the next two.
