The plot takes a lot of twists and turns. To never have experience being loved and raising your sisters child in a difficult situation and to be so young yourself would be so difficult and could leave a person emotional scarred. To have no other family and then be thrown in to a situation with lots of family and adjusting and finding love and using your talents at the same time.

Oh man! Family dynamics. My mom laughed when my daughter behaved like a younger me. I chuckle when my grands act like my daughter did at their age. And I howled with laughter while reading it going around in this story. I especially liked the paragraph when Rolf was reading the late-delivered texts! (Not child-related.) ALL the characters are sooo likeable. I’d want to work at the lodge if I wasn’t retired.
At 1st I rated this a 4 because most books just don’t rate 5’s. But I kept thinking about all the things I love about the story and had to come back to give it 5 stars. The way the 2 main characters fell in love was wonderful. The way the tween recognized her behavior was true. The way the 2 main characters found people to go to for advice was gratifying. On and on. Love it.
