- Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2023I can't put into words how heartbreaking and beautiful this journey was. Trigg is a player, just finding out he has a 12 year old daughter, being raised by her Aunt Wren. Wren is a saint and takes a lot of abuse from Sky, and buries her feelings. Their( Trigg & Wrens) relationship transforms from resentment, to respect ( all while a sexual attraction simmers), to something deeper. Sky & Trigg navigate a new parent, child relationship, while Sky & Wren work out the changes within theirs. What a trip this was. I will have to go back to read the first 2 books!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2023This is a story about a young lady who had to grow up fast in a home where she never felt loved. Her older sister had an unplanned pregnancy, and then died a couple of years later. Wren ends up raising her niece, Skylar, for 12 years until Sky decides she wants to meet her dad. Wren arranges it, and both Sky and Wren meet this family that takes them into their ‘fold’ (after a rough start!) and teaches them about love and acceptance. It’s a beautiful story with some tension and some heartbreak and lots of joy and acceptance. Wow!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2023Oh man…I really tried to like this book but just couldn’t make it work. The whole book just seemed to be a bit off center. The storyline was weak; the characters seemed out of sync; the plot didn’t really work; and the HEA was really not very well presented. This one was just not for me!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2018In this third book you find out that Trigg has a twelve year old daughter. When he met her mom he was seventeen. Now at twenty-nine he is a known player. Where as Sky's aunt and guardian is Wren. They move into the family business. An up and coming ski resort. There are several bumps along the way. Namely a very hard headed preteen female, who has become a trial for her aunt. Can her father be able to keep her in line? And what about the problems that are plaguing the resort? Can two broken people become one in love?
- Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2023There was so much going on at first and then there was more. This story started out sad but ended very different. Lots of emotion from all of the characters made this story move. Abuse, teenagers and their angst, gold medal winners and their egos, a very involved wedding and many more things made this a very memorable book. Read this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unexpected.
Such a lovely read. Heartbreakingly so. Family is tough. Sometimes it's just about survival. Choices are hard but sometimes you are presented with those you have to make. Cheers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Didn’t want the book to finish
I’m sorry to finish this series, I’ll miss Blue Spruce Lodge and the Johanssons because as Wren says they are “f***ing awesome!
Wren has grown up trying to make herself unnoticed, she’s uncomfortable with attention but nevertheless has mastered the art of making herself missed by her absence - by her loyalty, attention, efficiency, dedication and organisation - “they’ll miss me when I’m gone” ...(my words not hers) and they do! So how does it work for her when when she’s instantly attracted to a man who is accustomed to basking in attention and seems to have as much sense and discrimination as his sloppy Labrador mix dog? Except he is a champion snow boarder, fiercely competitive and family strong; he fronts up when faced with his 12 year old unknown daughter.
Wren and Trigg take awhile to make their move happen, but light a fire when they do and there’s plenty of family drama and action in between - that is some wedding of Rolf and Glory! . I both winced and laughed at Skylar’s moods and sarcasm, mixed nicely with her 12 years old insecurities. Wren springs a few surprises.
You don’t have to have read the previous books but it’s so much better if you have.

5.0 out of 5 stars 10 Stars
This book was great. I couldn’t put it down. Sky was well written. Very accurate depiction of a typical 12 year old girl. I loved Trigg in this book. He really grew up quickly. I was really sad to finish this series. It brought me many hours of enjoyment.
