Robin Patchen is a USA Today bestselling and award-winning author of Christian romantic suspense. She grew up in a small town in New Hampshire, the setting of her Nutfield Saga books, and then headed to Boston to earn a journalism degree. After college, working in marketing and public relations, she discovered how much she loathed the nine-to-five ball-and-chain. After relocating to the Southwest, she started writing her first novel while she homeschooled her three children. The novel was dreadful, but her passion for storytelling didn’t wane. Thankfully, as her children grew, so did her writing ability. Now that her kids are adults, she has more time to play with the lives of fictional heroes and heroines, wreaking havoc and working magic to give her characters happy endings. When she’s not writing, she’s editing or reading, proving most of her life revolves around the twenty-six letters of the alphabet.

Patchen catches your interest early on and delivers to the end with characters who depend on God and friends to get them through unthinkable, yet believable twists and turns. I love this series and can't wait to read more of Patchen's books.

What a bizarre path this Series book 4 took. We can live in denial or face the facts that human trafficking is real and its knocking on our doors. Women and children everywhere are been stolen for the sick pleasures of a few. In this book Robin Patchen touches on the bravery of one young lady, newly married Kelsey, trying to save her young 13 yr old sister, Danielle, after she was taken. In the process she finds herself in the grips of and evil man after entering the house believed to be housing Danielle, thus in turn being captured herself. This is only the beginning of the torture they both will endure. Somehow along the way Kelsey finds it within herself to fight back, especially after her sister is killed. She gets the opportunity to escape with not just herself in mind any longer. She attempts to gather information to put the leader, her tormenter, Carlos, in prison, only to watch everyone but him get charged. So she runs... and has gone into hiding for about 9 years. Spending only short amounts of time in each place, trying hard to conceal her son's identity from Carlos. The problem is, she is on her way back to her husband for his help without him knowing she is truly alive.
There is so much more to this book beyond this little synopsis. This book doesn't lack in action, bravery, evil, or vengeance. You have to open it up to find out who triumphs, and who dies in the end. And the story behind the boy they are fighting to protect.

Another book by Robin Patchen that is well worth reading. Characters are consistently well developed and interesting - I love that characters from other books are included in each of the new books but ... each book stands on it's own. Lots of twists and turns as the plot unfolds and, when I can't figure out how to have it end well, an amazing solution takes place. Unexpected, is the sub plot that exposes the reality of human trafficking - it showed the prison that these young girls endure and increases awareness that this is still a very real problem in our communities today. This is a book that will continue to have you thinking about it long after you finish and have you hoping for another one taking place in Nutfield, NH.

This Christian read could have more of Christ in it but very well paced and not too dark about such a horrifying subject. I was saddened to see harry potter written in as a good thing. The crude language is not as bad as the first books in the series, her other series is better. So many other ways to write explicts, etc. and still get your point across. Robin is very good at writting so many different diverse stories, I loved her heroine with Agrophobia. This book taught me more about sex trafficing and how to pray for these people in such dire straights.

A wonderful and fast paced suspense book. Eric, a police detective, doesn’t know that rescuing a young boy from the cold forest beyond his house was going to change his life so drastically. He does the right thing by calling child protective services and thought that would be the end. Then his “dead” wife, Kelsey, shows up being arrested for breaking and entering a cabin on the lake. What kind of trouble has Kelsey brought with her to Nutfield?

This was one of the best books I have read in a long time! It was literally perfect., not only checked all the boxes, but doing so very well. The story centers around a difficult subject to address, human trafficking, and its effects, all wrapped into an amazingly paced thriller and a profound love story. I was especially thrilled that Patchen was not afraid to address not only the attraction between husband and wife, but also the intimacy within their marriage. It made this story so much more satisfying, especially given the topic. Seven stars indeed!

Robin Patchen is an excellent author. Intrigue, suspense, romance.... it is all there. And what I love most is these books can be read as a series, which is best, but also individually and it is a story unto itself. The characters in these books have developed into the best of friends and such an example of how friends stand with each other in good times and difficult ones. What a great ending to the series........ even with a twist!!!!!

This was another great read from Robin Patchen. Eric thinks the worst of the woman who left her eight-year-old son Daniel alone in the woods. He doesn’t know how he got there or how he survived the wintery weather. Kelsey is trying to do what is best for everyone but when she is arrested she knows she needs to let go a little of her fear to accept help. Nothing is easy and there is lots of danger involved. Can Kelsey find happiness like she so desperately wants?
