A lot of her time is also devoted to phone call avoidance and her hatred of cooking.

She loves chocolate, hot tea, sweet wine with friends, pizza, and naps along with reading and writing romance. These loves don’t leave much time for housework, much to the chagrin of her husband. Who would pick cleaning the house over a nap or a good book? She uses any extra time to increase her fluency in sarcasm.

    This emotion packed story is the first I've read by A.D. Ellis and is absolutely phenomenal! I can assure you I will be reading every story A.D. has written and will write because THIS story has put her on my very limited author pedestal list.

    This story gripped my heart from the start, I couldn't put it down I was so emotionally invested. I had a book hangover and STILL get all knotted up thinking about these beautifully defined characters that I got to know not only because of what transpires but because I personally connected with them, their thoughts and talks.

    I've highlighted many profound sections of the story that resonated with me. The range of feelings A.D. evoked in me was huge...way too many to list. I can assure you that you'll experience a roller coaster ride with many unexpected twists and turns. I've revisited the story and my highlights and EACH time my stomach does flips!

    I do not give spoilers away in any review I write. Trust me in my HIGH recommendation that you read this story. You will read an incredible piece of work carefully written with heart and soul by a very talented author.

    I WILL say that life IS all about changes and sometimes we don't know how life altering they can be!

    WOW, I honestly can't rave highly enough about this. My God what a touching story. A.D. thank you for coming into my life with this piece of art. Bravo on delivering one heck of a fantastic read!

    This is a wonderfully sweet romantic story that touches your heart; pulls at it, breaks it, then puts it back together again! Be prepared to get emotional!

    In the beginning, we get an insight into the lives of Josie and Kyle and what ultimately led each of them to the town of Torey Hope. Josie has felt unloved and unwanted her entire life. She has no self-worth or confidence in herself, and she knows she has to get away and start her life again.

    Devastated by a personal tragedy, Kyle’s life is in a “black hole.” He decides he has to get away and accepts an offer from his old school friend. He and Josie are on separate journeys to Torey Hope, but their paths are about to cross and change them forever.

    When they meet, they hit it off and become close friends, both recognising the pain the other is suffering. They are there for each other in every way as friends; however, a different kind of feeling slowly emerges which goes beyond just being friends. As Kyle’s so damaged and broken by tragedy, he suffered telling Josie he can never love again. He can’t offer anything but friendship but the heart wants what the heart wants. With a nudge from a very unlikely source, Kyle realises Josie is for him. Is he too late? Someone is watching Josie and hell-bent on destroying any happiness she has found. Can these two lost broken people finally have happiness and love together or once again, will it be cruelly snatched away?

    I totally fell for the characters in this book. Torey Hope sounds like my kind of town! It was easy to love Josie … soft, gentle, caring and loving even after everything she had been through. And Kyle! A hot tattooed broken man who slowly comes back to life thanks to her. The passion and connection these two have is plain to see and the story is full of heart-breaking, tear-jerking, sweet tender moments that make you feel connected to these two protagonists. I did not want to put this outstanding read down once I started! Beautifully written and from both points of view, I highly recommend this book!

    Josie was unwanted and unloved by her parents and then husband. After years of abuse she finally escapes. Kyle is a widower trying to overcome grief. Good story about two wounded souls and how they come together. I recommend it.

    I loved this book! It made me laugh, cry, and gave me a bit of heartache all at the same time. Kyle and Josie have been through so much separately, that when they become friends and roommates, you just want to cheer them on. I love the fact that A.D can write a sweet, yet sexy story about a couple without going overboard like so many authors do. This story has just a great feel to it, and with the help of a little guidance (okay, it really was a lot of shoving!) from an unexpected source, Kyle and Josie really had no choice in the matter to accept the cards dealt to them. Even though the characters had feelings for each other, I think that A.D. did a great job with the way they interacted as roommates. Neither wanted to admit their attraction to the other, so they tended to sidestep each other a bit, which I think just increased the tension in the house, especially when you knew what they were both thinking due to the dual POV. Can't wait for the next installment of the Torey Hope Series.

    Oh, this series just keeps getting better & better, and I was so (sooooooo) happy to hear that the author has decided to continue it w/ the next generation in Torey Hope!!!

    Josie & Kyle's story is heart wrenching and heartwarming all at once. The characters leap off the page & grab you & you feel like you're right there w/ them. And there's sort of a twisty element to this story which adds to the beauty & enjoyment. And unlike some stories, I completely got what was keeping them apart for part of the story, and that part lasted JUST long enough. It didn't feel too fast (not that I complain about insta-love; it's one of my favorite types in stories!) and it didn't drag out so long that I was annoyed. Just really, really sweet & well-written!
