Kinksters at Play: A Donovan's Door Anthology Kindle Edition
Life can make love hard, especially in the kink community. Follow an eclectic, kinky ensemble, through a series of interwoven stories, as they struggle to put a little more play into their lives.
Especially when the marriage between Kat and Peter Richards starts to fall apart. It’ll take this community of kinksters to bring them back together again. After four years of marriage, Kat and her husband’s relationship seems so…nice. Not bad. Just average, ordinary. Nice. They haven’t played in forever and she desperately misses it. She wonders if they’ve lost their spark and worries her happily ever after came at the cost of her sex life.
Peter will need the help of their friends—from an exhibitionist learning to reconnect with her body and appreciate being looked at again, to an exhausted, off-duty cop having a rough night with an unexpected partner, to a Little struggling to keep her roleplay fantasy fresh against the toll of reality’s ticking clock—to remember that, with trust, communication, and the right partners, play can make life and love so much better.

About the author

Sonni de Soto is a Builder of Worlds. Well, really, she's a small office cog, churning away in a cubicle, who stealthily writes stories in email drafts (so it still looks like she working).
She's a queer storyteller of color, who believes that the romance and speculative genres too often don’t get the credit they deserve. They tell us a lot about humanity. What we desire and fear. Our values and taboos. For genres that are too often dismissed as fluff or pure entertainment, they allow us to explore sides of ourselves that we can’t anywhere else. They allow us, as storytellers, to showcase the soul. de Soto has had the privilege of publishing novels and stories with The Sexy Librarian, Cleis Press, SinCyr Publishing, and many others. An escape artist at heart, de Soto also enjoys consuming stories of all kinds and cosplaying the fictional loves of her life.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2018Format: KindleI’ll start by saying what I kept thinking as I was reading this book: How are there no reviews for this yet?
I LOVED this anthology. Kinksters at Play by Sonni de Soto is a hidden gem that I’m going to recommend like crazy.
I’m not a big anthology reader, in general. They usually have a loose theme, but the lack of consistency always leaves me feeling that more invested in some moments than others. In Kinksters at Play, however, all of these little stories and vignettes and snapshots build upon the other to culminate in this larger picture that just made me stop and say: damn, how expertly crafted was this?
I think the best way to introduce this anthology is that all of these characters we are introduced to are from the local kink club, Donovan’s. They are all at different points in their lives, whether they are just being introduced to kink, are drawing away to discover something new, or are overcoming a hurdle as their relationships continue to grow. There are many different pairings and kinks and appreciation and friendships. I just LOVED it. LOVED!
This was an erotic foray that digs into connection and kink and left me wanting more. I'll be picking up more from this author.
4.5 stars!
