Little Girl Lost (Detective Parker Bell Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 55 ratings

This is part of a love story, not a romance

If she can't give up her secrets she'll lose everything.

After crashing their car in the woods Detective Parker Bell and his wife Tessa stumble upon a blood covered child and find themselves thrown headfirst into a nightmare eerily familiar to the one Tessa found herself in sixteen years ago.

Forced to confront a past she would rather forget, every decision Tessa makes could cost her everything she has grown to love. Faced with several missing children cases he knows are related to Tessa's childhood nightmare, Parker must decide how hard to push his wife to get the answers he wants, and if he is even ready to face the truth of what happened to Tessa when she was kidnapped as a child.

LITTLE GIRL LOST is the fourth book in the Detective Parker Bell series by USA Today bestselling author Jane Blythe. Join Parker and Tessa on a journey of secrets, serial killers, mysteries, anguish, angst, and love in this tragic love story.

USA Today bestselling author Jane Blythe writes action-packed romantic suspense and military romance featuring protective heroes and heroines who are survivors. One of Jane's most popular series includes Prey Security, part of Susan Stoker's OPERATION ALPHA world! Writing in that world alongside authors such as Janie Crouch and Riley Edwards has been a blast, and she looks forward to bringing more books to this genre, both within and outside of Stoker's world. When Jane isn't binge-reading she's counting down to Christmas and adding to her 200+ teddy bear collection!

As always, Jane Blythe keeps me on the edge of my seat with another great suspense book. This is a wonderful series, especially since you get to see the same characters each book and learn more and more about their past, especially Tessa’s. Although, I do have to admit Tessa really drives me mad with her insistence to keep things from Parker. Like, really mad. Lol I’m excited and terrified to read book five because I know it’s the last book. Can’t wait to dive in!

This series really holds your attention. Tessa's past is so depressing. We see the same standard characters we've come to know along with a few new people who are truly the scum of the earth. Can Tessa and Parker's relationship survive so many secrets?

This is the most intense suspense filled thriller I've read in a long time. The characters are strong.Cassandra Stanton and her sister O!love are being held by a madman there are other girls too.Parker Bell thinks taking his wife Tessa away for a few days will be good for her and them. She keeps putting up walls not letting him in and even though he loves her more than life itself he's not sure how much more he can take. There are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page and leave you begging for more.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and makes you feel their emotions and their pain.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.I voluntarily decided to review this advanced reader copy because it's a great adult suspense filled story and I wanted out avid readers to know it's so worth reading

I like this suspenseful series but the heroine never gets any smarter or likable. The story itself is very engaging and will keep you on the edge. I like Parker a lot but I truly believe he deserves someone so much better than Tessa. This is my volitional, truthful review.

As I moved through this series, it has become important to realise that you MUST read the other books first to understand the implications of what seems to be the subplot, but is actually the main thread of the story.

Oh holy hell, the revelations in this book are mind blowing and so enlightening. How Ms Blythe has pulled so many threads together with the fabric of the story coming undone is an absolute testament to her ability and the depth of her imagination as an author to pull it all together. OMG.

I’ve said before that I would hate to be a character in the books of Ms. Blythe. She puts each of them through so much, and I love the family atmosphere that Parker has with his department and his boss. They are all crucial in their support of each other. Parker and Tessa have been through so much, and I NEED them to have their happy ending!!!!!

And I tell you true, the ending of this book will have you desperate to read the last book in the series...........

Tessa and Parker are still dealing from his abduction but doing it the way they always do, with avoidance and denial. Parker tries to plan a getaway from them both and instead they have an accident and run into a lost girl, Clara. When the Clara’s abductor tries to find her, he sees Tessa and wants revenge. You guessed it, this is related to the abduction of Tessa and her best friend that she has refused to utter a word about for 16 years. Will Tessa help or will she do what she always does, hold her secrets and risk her own life instead.

Once again we have a case that has a strange connection to Tessa and of course Tessa is a closed book. Parker is also doing what he does, avoiding the real issues and letting them fester. We finally in book 4 get some insight into how Tessa escaped and the mysterious person who seems to always be around to assist her when she needs help. I did like this story and the unexpected twist revealed at the end. Unfortunately, just when I started to like Tessa again, she falls back into old patters of keeping her secrets.
There should probably be some trigger warnings because there are parts of this book that could definitely trigger some people.

Yet another layer in the past of Tessa. Oh boy does Jane have may layers to this series. Another edge of your seat ride that had me holding my breath at times.

In this fourth book of the series we finally learn what happened to Tessa when she was kidnapped as a child. Of course Tessa is still keeping secrets from Parker. Oddly though it was Parker I found myself losing patience with. He forgets to think like a cop and always ends up making big mistakes. The next book is the last book in the series and I’m curious as to how it will end. This has been a fascinating series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
