Love, Alchemy Kindle Edition

3.9 out of 5 stars 73 ratings

Daveigh Little is preparing for college, planning to leave behind the tiny hick town she’s spent her entire life in once and for all. But plagued by troubles at home and school, Daveigh makes a series of bad choices that land her in hot water with a local kingpin. Suddenly, people around her are dying and Daveigh finds herself on the run.

And then there’s Ethan. Fresh out of the academy, Ethan Remington represents the authority Daveigh has come to despise, but she is inexplicably drawn to the handsome rookie of few words. From the first moment she laid eyes on him, Daveigh knew Ethan was different. She just didn’t realize how different. Reasons of his own have led Ethan into the tangled strands of danger within the town of Harpey…but those reasons aren’t nearly as mysterious as Ethan’s origins or the irresistible passion between them.

Love. Conflict. Adventure.

When not daydreaming about her next novel, Eden can be found curled up with a musty old paperback and a cup of coffee...or mired deeply in her next plot to take over the world. She enjoys reading or watching anything with supernatural elements, so writing paranormal and fantasy is a natural fit.

Her Amazon Bestselling series begins with DARK SIREN, a suspenseful paranormal romance that possesses a unique mythology--having gained praise from Publisher's Weekly for it's passion and complexity. Banewolf, Blood Chained, and Primed Son complete the saga.

This book has rekindled my love of reading. I cut back on reading a couple of months ago because every story seemed the same. Love, Alchemy is not the same old paranormal love story. This story has great characters, juicy plot line, steamy love scenes, and an unresolved ending that has me demanding a sequel.

My imagination and love of the characters would not allow me to put this book down. Simply stated, I love how the love story unfolds between Davey Little and Officer Remington. First Davey Little is a troubled teen struggling to graduate while living in an unstable home. She ultimately morphs into the ultimate survivor, escaping .... (I don't want to give it away). My imagination was on overload trying to figure out Remington's story. Where is he from? What makes him different? What will his family do to him/them as a couple? This story is full of twist, turns, and loop da loops that will leave you panting for more. My only complaint is the bags that formed under my eyes from staying up late to finish this exceptional read. Eden Ashley you ROCK! Please pretty please with a cherry on top write a sequel.

This book is definitely for adults only due to explicit sex and violence. That being said, it will definitely grab your attention and have you reading as fast as you can. Highly original with plenty of plot twists my only complaint is that a bit more editing is needed. In one paragraph our heroine is referred to as Mrs, Ms and Miss. This type of thing makes for a stumble in what would otherwise be a smooth read.

I loved this story. We meet Daveigh Little who is not your typical type of heroine. She is a rebel with a punk rocker streak and a real problem with authority. Too bad for Daveigh, sooner rather than later she finds herself turning to an unexpected authority figure, Ethan Remington. When people around Daveigh start dying it is Ethan who steps in as her protector. Ethan has to be one of the most complex and interesting characters I've ever had the pleasure of reading. From the moment Ethan enters the story you know there is something different about him, but you don't know just what it is. You find yourself forced to keep reading to figure out just what his secret is and when you finally do, boy are you in for a surprise. From Daveigh and Ethan on the run to the sizzling chemistry the two of them share, this story has no shortage of twists and turns and an ending that will leave you hungering for more. Another 5 star read!

Seriously? This book ended on my kindle at 50%. The ending left the story totally unfinished. After suffering a story that bumbled along 90% of the way before clarifying anything. The ending was a serious letdown.
