Rune is jaded by his shallow life as a fashion model. But he rediscovers joy when he meets a ray of sunshine named Callum. Can the unlikely couple find true love together?

Callum O’Rourke

When I meet Rune, I discover my dream partner exists for real. My heart doesn’t care that the older man is way out of my league. I want my first time to be with him.

But why would somebody as famous as him want to date a twenty-year-old nobody like me?

Rune Tourneau

My world was dark and cold until sunny Callum changes everything. Like a breath of fresh air, he brings the joy and laughter to my life that I had been missing.

I had always believed true love was a lie, but Callum makes me wish we could have a happily ever after.

Yes it’s got all the things my lizard brain needs right now to forget the world sucks right now.
A sweet and innocent boy struggling adorably with his insecurities, and an older more jaded MC softened and disarmed by his younger romantic foil.
The tropes aren’t new but it’s catnip to me and I loved how this was handled. It was just a feel good low angst almost fairytale love story that utterly charmed me.
What I loved is Rune acknowledges the power difference and the potential to manipulate and groom Callum and instead of leaning into that harmful trope he establishes heathy lines of consent being patient and kind while Callum explores what he wants and needs. Sorry but enthusiastic consent is hot and I love seeing it in romance. 😘
I started with this book but I plan to go back and read the rest of the series I could tell who were MCs from previous books but it worked very well as a stand alone.

I loved the characters, and the story is so cute and sweet it gave me cavities. It’s a good, low angsts, and sweet story. However, I felt like It was missing some drama to make it more exciting and interesting. I don’t know, maybe I’m nitpicking, or I’m just used to reading romance books that have that dramatic factor where something goes wrong and then everything gets resolved at the end and they live happily ever after. I know it sounds a little ridiculous, but I wanted and needed some drama. Also, I’ve never met an Irish person with a thick accent before, so I didn’t get some of the slang one of the main characters used, some I just guessed or deduced based on the situation, but I was lost most of the time. I felt like the book could have do without some of them, and still keep the character’s Irish heritage. Other than this, I enjoyed reading this book a lot.

I am a huge fan of this series and this edition is no exception. Third in the series, this book features adorkable Callum and hot as sin, grumpy as all get out Rune. While this can be read successfully as a standalone, the characters and their relationships build on each other so I would suggest reading them in order. An added plus is that the entire series is amazing and worth the read. If you enjoy grumpy/sunshine, dorky/model-worthy, age gap (it’s not large and certainly does not show in the characters) or just a feel-good romance, I recommend this book, and series, to you. These thoughts and opinions are honest and unbiased written after reading an advanced readers copy. However I would like to say I did purchase the book after it’s release to add to my personal library.

Callum was disowned by his father in Ireland and now he lives with his brother in the US and has a better life and is free to be himself.

Rune only does hookups and even that is starting to feel cold. He has emotional problems because of his past. His brother thinks he needs a friend who happens to be Callum.

These two are so sweet together and even though Rune is experienced he seems shy with Callum because he brings out his true deep feelings. I love these two they are awesome, each book that comes out gets better and better I can't pick a favorite they all are so good. I most definitely recommend this book!!!

I think this is the 3rd book in a romance series with standard tropes. I actually think the characters are the sweetest but there’s mainly what feels like scenes rather than a totally put together story. MC1 is sweet, inexperienced, MC2 is hot, playboy model; mix and serve with ice cream.

Believe me, I am not complaining either! Callus is so sunny and sweet, he certainly deserves some love in his life. And Rune is so jaded and depressed, he needs the light the Callum brings. Very swoon worthy read. These guys are all so amazing. This whole series is such a comfort read for me. Light, sweet, sexy, fluffy, and full of love, these stories can easily lift me out of a funk.

Love these characters. I did not want to say goodbye to them. I love history but have never read much about the French Revolution. Now I have some "Badass Women" from history to learn about. ( That term is one of honor as we have a group in Virginia who call ourselves Harass Women as we fight for equality and justice. To be inspired by a story to learn something is the best.

I want to be there reading when these two adorably sexy men get married. I can imagine their wedding night with their beautiful ties.

It is incredible how each book in this series is as good if not better than the previous one. And now, the story of Callum and Rune is the best so far, full of sweet and endearing situations, a lot of romance and many little details between them that made every single interaction, a treat for us. I specially enjoyed Callum innocence and how Rune took a chance at love with him. I also loved how Jules explained hugs and their meaning in a relationship. A very enjoyable reading. So good!
