Publisher Description
Fifteen years thinking Ryker abandoned me when I needed him most, and a night fueled by liquor leads me to his door, ready to tell him off. Instead, he surprises me, claiming I was the one who left, and now he’s got this wild idea to keep me close—to show me I’ve always belonged to him.
Under his roof, my well-guarded secrets feel perilously close to being unveiled, but his proximity blurs the lines between past pains and the semblance of a homecoming. As buried truths and rekindled sparks threaten to consume us, we're faced with the choice to either embrace the trials of love or to extinguish our last hope for a life together.
Caught between past hurts and a future uncertain, are we ready for a second chance, or is this where our story ends, once and for all?

Loving my Angel
I didn’t start this book thinking I would like it very much, but within the first few chapters, I found I not only did I like it, but loved it. I thought it would be one of the typical HEA books, but every now and again, an author comes up with something that is like a punch to the solar plexus, and it just keeps on punching. What a fabulously beautiful, heartbreaking, tragic way of to write, and I don’t understand why this author hasn’t been on my radar before now.
I am now going to spend an evening in something sappy and non swoon worthy as I do not have another emotion to give after this book. After that, I will find another book by this author.
I would not have chosen this cover jacket for this book as it does not give it justice ....that is my one critique, and I almost didn’t download the book just because of the jacket, and THAT would have been a tragedy in and of itself.
I am not given free books to write reviews, and I wouldn’t accept anyway as I believe true reviews come from those who receive nothing in return; therefore, I am also very stingy with my reviews. Once in a while, I will offer a review when a book isn’t so good; not to tear the author down, but how can they get better without knowing what readers thinks. Often, my reviews are 4 stars as not every book can be 5 stars. So that being said, when a book pulls every emotion out of my soul, when I am so moved, I have tears in my eyes or laugh out loud, when I don’t want to rush to the end as I just want to savor every minute of the book, that is a 5-star book. In fact, this book is 5++++ stars.
