    The Carolina Cold Fury hockey team is back in full force.  They are not only shredding the ice in the play offs, they are also shredding our hearts one player at a time.  Sawyer Bennett has created a team of men that are melting the readers hearts and leaving them wanting more.

    Lucas Fournier is thrilled to be a part of the Carolina Cold Fury team for many reasons, not only is he playing on the ice with his brother Max, he is also part of an exceptional hockey organization that believes in the importance of family as well as winning the cup.  It's a win win situation.  Being one of the few single guys on the team is also a bonus, it's a guarantee of more available ladies to choose from.  He's a single guy and has no intentions of settling down anytime soon.  Let all the other players enjoy their family time while he reaps of the rewards as a single player. It all begins to change when he meets Stephanie Frazier at a museum benefit. He's thrilled that he is available and that she wants a one night hook up with no strings attached.  Best night of his life. Best sex he's ever had.  The sex was so good that he shredded the condom like he shreds the ice. He's not overly concerned that the condom broke because Stephanie has the same mantra he has and is going to take the morning after pill.  All is good and he wouldn't mind another hook up with Stephanie but knows it will never happen.     Max and Stephanie begin as tentative friends trying to maneuver their way into the parenting role.  Their sexual chemistry is through the roof and they both have a healthy sexual appetite.  The problem is neither one of them knows how to be in a relationship. As time goes by Lucas wants more than Stephanie is willing to give.  Stephanie is frightened of all the emotions being around Lucas brings into her life.  She's pushing Lucas away and Lucas is pushing harder.

    Sawyer Bennett once again delivered another win for the Cold Fury Hockey Series.  The play offs are just beginning and there are some key players wanting their time to play on the Cold Fury pages.

    I am a huge fan of Sawyer’s. And my family is a hockey family so this series is just perfect for me. I haven’t been disappointed yet!

    What a man Lucas Fournier is!! Holy smokes!! Just wow. I want to be a part of that family!! I want to be supported and loved unconditionally. And be able to take chances to figure things out. Like what I wanted to be when I grew up. But seriously. What a stand up man he is.

    When Stephanie walks into the bar the team goes to to celebrate and you realize she’s there to find him, you know why she’s there. You know that she’s pregnant. Point for Stephanie for finding him and letting him know. Even if she planned on doing things herself she could’ve not told him. I respected her decision. And Lucas. His past sure wasn’t any help when greeted by someone you hardly know and she claims she’s pregnant with your child. Especially since he’s not poor but pretty wealthy being in professional sports. It doesn’t take long for him and Stephanie to get a feel for each other. Not that drama doesn’t occur. It sure does.

    Lucas has his work cut out for him that’s for sure. Stephanie is a tough nut. She’s got a bit of her own issues to overcome since her parents pretty much abandoned her from birth. Relationships in any sense of the word are absolutely foreign to her. She’s only ever been able to take care of herself. Be alone. Then you can’t get hurt. Then enters the Fournier family. The loud, boisterous family that loves one another and are affectionate without really even realizing it. Poor Stephanie just takes it all in and wonders what would life have been like if she had only a sliver of that.

    I thought Luc played things off well. He becomes so engrained into her life, she has no idea what is happening. Sure she has little freak out moments but for the most part she just chooses to put blinders on and keeps moving forward.

    We knew that eventually things were going to come to a head. It was inevitable. But it was a whole lot uglier than I thought it was going to be. Hearts were shredded and words cut like a razor. Deep. Leaving visible scars.

    The end was my favorite. When she finally,
    FINALLY gets her head out of her ass and realizes she’s good enough. Can’t wait to hear more news about them in the series. There’s still so much to go over!! This book needs a sequel!!! Too much stuff left to happen in this one!! We can’t be kept to our own delusions to try to work out how things will progress from here!! I NEED MORE!!

É uma pena, pois gostei da grande maioria dos livros da autora, até agora esse foi o pior.

    I started this book years ago but for some reason got distracted. The main points I remember were that Lucas and Stephanie had a one night stand and she got pregnant.

    Gosh going back to reread that beginning again, was nothing how I remembered it other than the getting pregnant part but I must say I did enjoy the rest of the story once I got going❣️

    Steph is completely different from Lucas in that she was raised in an entirely different environment than he was. While her parents were wealthy and could lavish her with a home, food and designer clothing, she missed out on the unconditional love and support parents should give their kids. Now she’s scared out of her mind, pregnant by a hot professional hockey player and she now has to open herself up which is somehow stunted.

    Lucas is a player both on and off the ice. When a one night stand turns up proclaiming she’s pregnant with his child…he’s wary of her intentions. However, both appear to be stunted emotionally in different ways, they soon work together to create a relationship that will work for the foreseeable future❤️

    Really enjoyed this book, it was an emotional read for so many reasons. The fact that Stephanie had such a horrific, abusive childhood was so sad. Stephanie wasn’t physically abused, she wasn’t emotionally abused in the way most people would think of but her abuse was emotional because she grew up without the love, guidance, support & trust most parents give their children. They ignored her. When she meets Lucas she’s not looking for anything more than 1 night of pleasure because she can’t give anything more than that. Because of birth control failures 2 strangers find themselves with a baby on the way. Lucas steps up & decides that he wants to be involved & also get to know Stephanie better since he hasn’t been able to forget her. What follows is an up & down journey through the emotions of a relationship that pulls at Stephanie’s insecurities & that pushes Lucas to his breaking point. This was 1 of those books that just kind of grabs you keeps you glued to it because what happens next is just as heartbreaking or extremely sexy as you can get. Definitely recommend.
