Margo & George Forever?: a Romantic Comedy Kindle Edition

4.0 out of 5 stars 19 ratings

There was no question in Margo's heart of hearts that she loved George. She really did want to marry him--scratch that--she really did want to be married to him.

There was a difference. She hoped to heaven that the teeny-tiny distinction wouldn't be their undoing... The stage is set for the wedding of the year in New York City featuring poor sweet beautiful Margo marrying the most eligible (read that: handsome and wealthy) bachelor, Regal Stores heir and CEO, George Regal, III.
The Regal family has long presided over the social and fashion scene in Manhattan and they have embraced the marriage with enough enthusiasm to create a circus. That could be why Margo feels like she's in the center ring and about to be swallowed by a lion.
But the best things about George, the strong powerful CEO, are the ones he's not known for, like his small thoughtful gifts, the crystal angel Christmas tree ornament he'd given her, the way he holds her hand at odd moments, the way he bear-hugs his grandma whenever he sees her and the way he speaks with misty eyes about his late mother.
Of course Margo wants to spend the rest of her life with him...
if she could just get past the family’s ‘enthusiasm’ and THE WEDDING.

Warning: Once you open this book you'll get heart-warming romance, smiles, laughs & fun, but also an adult-sized portion of steamy love scenes. And of course, most important of all, a very satisfying Happily-Ever-After.

Besides writing, she loves UConn basketball, NFL football, kittens and hanging out with friends and fellow readers in real life and on Facebook talking about books, romance and life.

She was getting married and Margo was terrified. Not of joining her life with that of her lover and fiancé, George. Not at all! She adored the man and couldn’t wait to be his wife. What scared the panties off her was that it was to be a three-ring circus put on by his family with her as lead actress in the starring role. A position that left her heart beating wildly, her hands sweating and her brain screaming – run before it’s too late. Poor Gorge, is stuck between a rock and a hard place. He loves Margo but his family also matters a great deal. And they've gone to a huge amount of trouble to make their day perfect. “Margo & George Forever” is a fun story that will keep you turning the pages just to see if our heroine goes through with the big day.

This book was even better than I had hoped for.
It was a fast story that was charming, funny and emotional. If you ever wanted to get a good look into wedding nerves, this one did a great job of showing it.
True love, that's what both Margo and George had going for them. Margo also has great friends. Now if only George's family would back it up a bit. Oh, she loved having more family now but they were a bit over the top when it came to "helping" her plan her wedding. What she wanted went by the way side some time ago. This gal really needed to learn how to say no and say it effectively. Although I do understand her reasons why she found that hard. The one family member that Margo really felt the best being around was George's grandmother and she seemed really down to earth.
This really was a smile-worthy story that I enjoyed. It really flew by fast but with a good ending.

Margo’s ‘tude about weddings is what makes this bright, uplifting story so entertaining—and different. I love how this couple worked out their problems… and I ended up falling in love with the whole family. This is an awesome, enjoyable read.

This was a much shorter book than I expected! I'd say it is more of a novella. But the book does not skimp on characters or content. I felt for Margo because she was being dragged through a large wedding she didn't want just because George's family does. Now I'm not saying that George wants the big shindig, but I think he is just as afraid of Margo of saying NO to his family.

But despite the craziness, Margo and George know they are meant to be together and are willing to endure the expectations just to be together....but will they survive the family and tie the know? You will have to read the book to find out.

This is a cute story and while there were times I wanted to throttle both Margo and George for not being more firm with their desires for the wedding, the ending was a bit of a surprise and revealed that perhaps they did know what they needed to do to survive.

This is a fun, sweet novel that is just in time for summer reading. It's the perfect book for the beach - it's humorous and light, and brought a smile to my face.
