The Matchmaker's Dream (Romantic Shorts Book 11) Kindle Edition

4.1 out of 5 stars 74 ratings

Bhaskar AKA Boss is in his final year at college when Reema steps into his life as a first-year student. The college hero who has women chasing him 24x7 falls for this gorgeous beauty at first sight, but he’s unable to gather up his guts and vocalise his feelings. Something about her reduces him to an awkward tongue-tied teenager.

While Reema is also deeply attracted to Bhaskar, an innate shyness makes her stay aloof and distant.

Six years later, Bhaskar re-enters Reema’s life at one of her matchmaking network’s parties. This time he’s determined to explore the vibes he believes they share. Lady Luck showers her blessings and once again both of them are head over heels in love.

This time round, will the matchmaker realise her dream of getting together with the only man she has ever loved?

Sundari Venkatraman is an Indie Author who has 68 books to her credit. These books have consistently featured in the Top 100 Bestseller Lists on Amazon India, Amazon USA, Amazon UK, Amazon Canada and Amazon Australia in both romance as well as Asian Drama categories. Her latest hot romances have all been on #1 Bestseller slot in Amazon India for over a month.

These days, the author is independently publishing her novels in paperback format under her banner Flaming Sun, printed and distributed by Notion Press.

Even as a child, Sundari absolutely loved the ‘lived happily ever after’ syndrome and she grew up on a steady diet of fairy tales, Phantom comics and Mandrake comics. It was always about good triumphing over evil and a happy ending after the protagonists surmounted all unexpected obstacles.

Once she entered her teens, Sundari switched her loyalties from fairy tales to Mills & Boon. While she loved reading both of these, she kept visualising what would have happened if there were similar situations happening in India; to local heroes and heroines. And of course, the joy of vanquishing the ubiquitous evil villains! Her imagination soared and she happily ensconced herself in a rosy romantic cocoon for many years.

Then came the writing—a true bolt from the blue! And Sundari Venkatraman has never looked back.

I love stories on second chances. Make me feel hopeful that life is not momentary and there is always a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Sundari has woven a beautiful tale of how two hearts come together after years of silence. When love is meant to be - there is nothing that can come in one's path. The characters are well sketched and the romance is sizzling. It was a great read.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a magical love story

The author is normally very romantic and narrative about the characters & the magical feel about her love stories. This is very different writing from what she normally writes..May be because of it being short story. The character of Reema & Bhaskar wasn’t connecting with each other.

Both characters were equally balanced. A simple yet a beautiful love story to read. Best part was the climax where the realisation from both perspectives were interesting.
